I tried the Rotisserie chicken pita on a lunch break. It was light and fresh, not quite as filling as I'd hope but maybe next time I'll opt for the fries instead of the side salad. There are enough greens inside the pita to not feel guilty lol. The pita comes with pickled veggies (cauliflower, carrots) which were a nice touch. They weren't overly tart and didn't overpower the rest of the pita. The pita itself was good, soft and fresh, and the chicken was tender and shredded. The service is simple. You order at the counter when you walk in and they will bring you your food to the table. My food came within about 10 mins after ordering. It's a cute place. Very open and airy there are a nice amount of tables and a few outside. Definitely a cafe vibe. read more

I almost didnt order here since I only saw one vegan option on the menu however, after letting the server know, she was able to give me ideas on how to customize as well as ask the kitchen if it was doable which came in handy. I really enjoyed the Shawarma pita where I substituted the Chicken for Mushroom Schnitzel. I was so excited to eat it I forgot to take a picture but what I can tell you is that it was very healthy and exceeded my expectations on how great it would taste. This was my second time here. First time I got the Shakshuka which was delicious. This time I tried the chicken shawarma pita with fries which was very yummy. It was filled with potatoes, chicken, and included a sauce that made it taste good. Lots of flavor in both the pita and the fries. The experience was pleasant from the beginning although I did feel a little rushed to get out after I payed. That's okay I guess since other customers are trying to get a seat. I wanted to say I loved my meal, but I just liked it. I got the lemon ricotta pancakes with cranberries. I like being able to really taste the pancake, but there were just too many flavors going on. I'm sure someone would love them, I just didn't. My boyfriend had the salmon, eggs, and latkes and he did enjoy those. Came here for brunch on a rainy morning. Not too many parking spots out front but there is tons of street parking. There wasn't too much of a wait and the hostess was super friendly and helpful! We ordered the shakshuka and the breakfast plate. The order came out wrong and our server came immediately to fix it and also gave us a free cookie which was really nice of him. The breakfast plate came with mushrooms, grilled zucchini, eggs, arugula, sausage and a really flavorful green sauce. I also really enjoyed the mushrooms, they were fried and seasoned well. The shakshuka was amazing! Really flavorful, it was sour and savory at the same time. I also really enjoyed the pita that came with it. The pita was fluffy and soft and complimented the sauce well. The sauce also had tons of cauliflower and zucchini. The matcha latte I got was also great, the server was attentive and helpful and let me know that it comes unsweetened, so I got mine with vanilla syrup. The first time I ate at Daily Chew was the happiest of accidents. We were going to try Bhojanic, but it didn't look open, so we drove past and found Daily Chew around the corner. I tried the coffee and shakshuka and my sister got the smoked salmon pita and a latte. The coffee was very good (I drink it black and am picky). I loved the shakshuka, but it's not "traditional." It has a bit of an Italian kick with basil, but still has the tomato base and other more middle eastern spices like coriander and cumin. The cauliflower adds a nice texture. I bought a jar to take home! When my jar of sauce ran out, I convinced my partner to return so I could buy more. We ordered the brekkie bowl, vegan cream of broccoli soup, and a roasted vegetable galette. Everything was outstanding! The bowl was so fresh and flavorful, the pastry was delicious, and the soup was the most amazing light and fresh cream-style soup! I love the ambiance - it reminds me of Europe or California- airy and open with lots of light and plants. It was steady with customers getting take out and dining in, but not crowded on a Saturday at 2. The service is prompt and friendly. Both people who worked there the first time I visited were there the second time and they were friendly and knowledgeable. Very cute, chic, hip place. It was bursting with very cute, chic, hip people. I went because I was craving shakshuka and I saw it in their menu. I was pretty disappointed. Shakshuka is supposed to be served very hot (temperature) and at least a bit hot (spiciness). You cook the eggs _in_ the boiling sauce. Instead, it was two eggs floating in lukewarm spaghetti sauce. It did come in a skillet but I am pretty sure they didn't cook anything in it as it was cold to the touch. It was just served in it. The bread was really good though. I also ordered a latte and it too was lukewarm. I'm fairly sure coffee is supposed to be served very hot (temperature - to be clear). The location is a bit hard to find since it's behind the Main Street, but you'll see a small shopping center and a green/white storefront which is Daily Chew. 1) Shashuka (7.7/10): the Shashuka was really good. The tomatoes are not too acidic. My only recommendation would to get more bread or else you're drinking it as a soup. 2) Chicken Bowl (6.8/10): the chicken was really soft and moist paired with the tahini sauce. The pickled tomato was interesting because we have never tasted that before, but pretty good with the bowl. 3) Hotcakes (6/10): the hotcakes were really good, but I docked a point for the size. It's definitely more of an appetizer/side portion than a full meal portion. Overall, I think it's a really nice spot. The seats were a little tight since the place is a little small. The portions are definitely on the smaller side, so getting three items for two people is good. read more

I really enjoyed having a delicious brunch with such creative veggie-forward dishes. It is counter service, which is totally fine by me. Great service and ambiance is excellent (see my photos!). I had the market salad and added poached eggs to it - it was delicious. Everyone in my party enjoyed their dishes. We shared the mushroom schnitzel and the citrus beets, and they paired well with all of our dishes. I would definitely go back there the next time I'm in Atlanta. The Daily Chew is a welcome addition to the food options off Liddell Drive. Located in the former Queso Shop space, this corner cafe serves decent quality healthy food options. I had the truffle chicken salad sandwich and my lunch date had the rotisserie chicken bowl. The truffle flavor was a nice touch for the sandwich. Inside the restaurant you can find some cozy tables that can accommodate a variety of patrons. They have some outdoor seating as well. Parking is limited but free street parking is available. The owner is from a South African and Israeli background and those flavours come out in the food. We got a chickpea crepe and the flavours were so balanced and exciting.
