I heard about this place via Instagram and was very intrigued. Coming from the same owner as Dish Society, you can expect a high end brunch (with high end prices. While the decor at Dish Society is American and modern, Daily Gather has a European vibe to me. My friends and I came here to celebrate Galentines Day. I ordered the the mimosa flight (best was pineapple, worst was cranberry) and the short rib grits. The short ribs fell apart like butter and the grits had gouda in it. It was tasty for sure but $26 is hefty and I wasn't full. My friends were intrigued by the boards and got the smoked salmon one (even when I said it didn't look like a lot of food from the photos online), and yup, it was small. Definitely would feed 1-2 people not more (like the menu suggested). It was a cute spot and definitely worth a visit for a nicer meal with your girlfriends or a date. read more

came for brunch with the some gal pals on the Sunday before Valentine's Day! Really cute place & when the weather decides to act right, definitely a good place to enjoy their patio. My only disappointment with this place is that they ran out of their short rib & grits that day making choose another one of their dishes. If it's that good that they ran out, I will definitely be back early enough to enjoy that dish! While waiting for meals, our waitress did offer us discussion cards which really sparked convo with me and my girls! Same family as Dish Society... Awesome brunch spot (across from Kendra Scott and next to Bellagreen). Food was fantastic! Not pictured, but the sausage gravy on the biscuits was amazing - lots of pepper and probably the best I've had! Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. We had one gluten free person in the group. Manager came by to check with us to make sure all was good! Will be back for happy hour next! They have a nice bar area and patio area. For being new, service was great! read more

We had an excellent date night. Bryan was our bartender/server and he did a fabulous job. A little tip, sit at the bar and you can receive the social hour/happy hour menu all day by just sitting at the bar. Some of the food prices are half the price of the regular menu. I highly recommend you sitting at the bar and ask for Bryan, you won't be disappointed! The salmon, ceviche tostadas was on point; I had the best I mean the absolute best espresso martini I've ever had in my entire life! The oysters; the Gulf Coast oysters were huge, cold, fresh, meaty, and delicious! The brisket sliders were OK for me. I prefer some kind of sauce with it. The french fries with cheese on top are good as well. Very fresh, hot and crispy. Overall, we enjoyed our date night. It was an excellent time we had together. The service was impeccable. The food was hot and delicious and the drinks. Oh my God the drinks are Divine! My husband had a martini made with a Japanese vodka that he enjoyed Bryan also made a great Mojito. They use fresh herbs with all of the drinks and the mint was very fresh, which I definitely appreciate. I started off with the feature drink of sangria that was made with Pinot Grigio, strawberries, mango, and raspberries. My next drink was their French rosé wine which was really good. I don't like sweet wines. Their rosé was perfect; not too sweet and not too dry; perfectly balanced! And then I ended my meal with, of course the fabulous, unforgettable, espresso, martini. Order it! Just order it! I'm telling you that you would not be disappointed! I recommend that you ask that the espresso martini be made by Bryan. Trust me! Just go and enjoy! read more

Came in pretty late, was craving a cappuccino and it was perfectly made with almond milk. The place is very nicely decorated, posh with a casual touch. Jaleel (forgive the spelling) the bartender was great and used a real live pineapple to make a drink! Needless to say, it tasted great! Recently went to Daily Gather and had a great experience. I had been seeing pictures of their brunch boards and new I had to experience this restaurant for myself! Unfortunately, I didn't get the brunch board because it would be too much food me to eat by myself since my friends wanted something different. However, I still walked away very satisfied with my meal. I ordered the French toast and added eggs and chicken tenders. Everything came out hot and fresh! That French toast was amazing!! My friends ordered the burger, omelette and banana pudding. Needless to say, we all enjoyed our meal! It's a cute spot, very spacious! I'm sure this spring and summer it will be very crowded given it's great location. It was a lot of outdoor patio space as well. I also like that the restrooms doors have handles that allow you to open the door with your foot instead of your hands for the germ-a-phobes! read more

Went here for the burger and was told about all the items on the menu that were not available. It was a bit disappointing, but Brittney (our server) made the experience so much better and gave other great recommendations. She was attentive and sweet. Very upset about not getting the burger that I wanted, but very pleased with the service. I will be coming back and request to sit in her section! read more

Had an incredible lunch with my friend Denise today and we shared the following: * Daily Bread * Poblano Guacamole * Deviled Eggs All of the shareables were delightful. On the other hand, we did NOT share each of our own amazingly, delicious salads! I had the Garden salad with brussel sprouts and she had the Harvest salad. Both of us left completely satisfied and the service was outstanding throughout the entire meal. We will definitely be retuning! read more

What a delightful experience! This was my first time at Daily Gather and a group of friends and I were served by the GREAT Jennifer! The ambiance, tone, engagement and service was truly what I anticipated it to be. Jennifer, answered all of our questions about the menu with knowledgeable answers. She did a phenomenal job with building and establishing a rapport with us and she even let me use her "good pen". We were having such a great time we totally forgot to ask for split checks lol well I tried to not "bother" my server and tried to figure everything out myself and boy was that good laugh again, she did an excellent job building and establishing rapport. All in all, I gave the pen back and receipt and allowed Jennifer to do her job lol. The food was ABSOLUTELY delicious and the patio was scenic. We enjoyed a nice brunch with great weather. I appreciated the heaters outside and the staff moving them once we were too warm. Speaking of temperatures all of the food came out hot! Check this place out and ask for Jennifer! read more

Feels like the place opened it's doors quite recently. At least I felt that way. The restaurant feels understaffed. Waiter got us menus and disappeared for literally 30 mins. We thought they forgot about us or something, but he finally arrived and asked what we want to drink. After that we were waiting for another 30 mins to place order for food. Cocktails are horrible. Espresso martini was in the glass for stout. I asked to give me another glass, but he said they don't have enough glasses I mean, wtf? Espresso martini in stout glass? Food was ok. The bar was a big mess. When I first walk in I sat at the bar there was the manager standing at the bar talking to the bus person. They both where talking so loud I could hear them at my seat which was across the bar. When I sat down at the bar there where used dirty glasses all around the bar not being picked up to be cleaned. I noticed that there was a manager helping the horrible bartender. When she was making the drinks she never acknowledged me. I sat about 10 minutes before I could get my drink order in. Then 10 minutes later still no drink and I asked about it and the bartender forgot. I didn't get a coaster with my cocktail after I ordered my lunch the menu still sat my me at the bar. They never got picked up. Is the menu thrown out after one use or do they give the same menu iver and over again? I could go on about the horrible service but my time is to valuable to me. Just imagine what happened when they brought my lunch out to me. read more

So first of all, I really love the area that this is in. I came here for brunch with a friend the other day and afterwards, we were able to walk around, talk, go to some boutiques, get some cookies from Tiff's Treats, etc. It's a beautiful place, inside and outside, 100% Instagram-able if that's your thing. Now the food- AMAZINGGG. I had the daily bread with the Cesar salad and it was really good. I loved the homemade cream cheese that came with the bread and it's def enough to share with the table. The salad was yummy, I just wish they didn't put hot chicken on top of the cold salad, but it didn't bother me too much. My friend had the calamari and really enjoyed it, but I don't think she liked the sauce haha. We shared the Mac and cheese and I really enjoyed it. It's not the best Mac and cheese, but it is still really good and big enough to share with 3-4 people as a side or appetizer. We both got dessert and hers was amazing. She had the cobbler with ice cream and it was crispy in the right places, sweet in the right places, soft in the right places, 10/10. I had the skillet cookie and I just wish it didn't have the extra chocolate drizzle on top bc there's already so much chocolate chips on the inside. But overall, it was still good. We also got the cranberry mimosa carafe and an expresso and all of that was good as well. The service was amazing; they always came around to take things from our table and all the food came out fresh. I paid for the bread, the salad, the carafe, the skillet cookie, and the coffee and my bill came to around $60-70 I believe before tip. I would make reservations before you go! read more

Been here twice for brunch. The first time we didn't have any reservations but showed up right when they opened and was luckily able to get seated outside. I would recommend getting reservations ahead of time if possible! Food was great. I highly recommend the Southern Rockefeller. That was my favorite dish there. We also shared the smoke salmon board which I would recommend as well if you plan on sharing food. We ordered the truffle Mac and cheese but couldn't taste the truffles at all. This dish was not bad either but wished for more truffle flavor. Only dish I would not recommend is the avocado toast. It was pretty plain and not really worth it. read more

For it being the first weekend that they've been open they servers did a great job! You can tell they took their training seriously. We made a reservation and we were immediately seated which was great. Our server Steven was so kind! I thought the conversation cards was a nice touch considering most restaurants do not do that. We loved the mimosas, coffee, and our entrees (butcher burger was to die for). The restaurant is very warm and cozy and has a lot of seating inside and out. The only CON to this place were the tables. I just don't think it's ideal to have customers sit in bench style dining table. After a while it's gets UNCOMFORTABLE, so if you have back issues, I suggest you ask before being seated. Overall we had a great experience and I'd def come back. read more

I have two main goals when I write reviews. 1) Prevent someone else from having a poor experience like me or 2) Share the joy when I have a pleasant experience somewhere. If you read my reviews, you'll notice that they're either really good or really bad. I don't write middle-of-the-road reviews because I don't think they're as helpful to others or useful in achieving my goals. I don't typically expect any kind of meaningful follow-up after my review. I'm updating this review because I'm impressed with the way management at Daily Gather handled themselves. I thought the food was between 3.5 - 4.0, so I'm updating it accordingly. While service ultimately led to my having an undesirable experience, Ashley is the first manager that has ever reached out to me to acknowledge that after reading my review, ask for feedback, and take immediate steps to educate her staff as a whole and our server privately, and prevent any other patrons from having a similarly disappointing meal. She took steps to ensure I would give Daily Gather another try. Unfortunately, not being a resident of Houston, I really couldn't take advantage of her offer, but I'm impressed with Ashley's professionalism, promptness, and follow-through. In the past, when establishments have reached out, it's usually to gaslight me, dispute events, deny accountability, or they just drop the ball entirely. I wanted to make sure what happened to me didn't happen to anyone else and I feel confident that will be the case. Of course, running a restaurant is tough and there will always be other hiccups with turnover in servers and staff and unexpected circumstances, but I believe Daily Gather will always be moving in the right direction. I came here with some friends on a Wednesday night. We sat on the patio & had a great time. The ambiance was cute. However I did think the cushions on the booth could of been all together. Tables were pushed together & I had to sit on the wooden part, not the cushion. I really was not impressed with my food. I had the salmon which was really small in my opinion & kind of bland. The salmon had the smallest amount of sauce on it which was soo good and I wish they had poured it all over. Our service by Brittany was phenomenal. I had previously given Daily Gather a glowing 5-star review, but unfortunately, this time, I can only provide a 2-star rating. My recent visit left much to be desired, primarily due to the noticeable decline in customer service and food quality. The service by our waitress was quite lacking. It took an astonishing 20+ minutes to receive my sister's order of fries (she finished her steak before she got her side order of fries), and to make matters worse, my mom's side dish was completely incorrect. Furthermore, the portion of fries I received appeared to be only a fraction of the regular order, and they arrived cold. As for the burger, the patties barely covered half of the bun, leaving me disappointed. Water glasses were empty, and there was no refill on the bottle of water; the only good thing that night was the wine. What's particularly concerning is that the restaurant was nearly empty at 6 pm on New Year's Eve. Given the lack of patrons, there's no excuse for the subpar service and food quality that we experienced, especially if the total bill ended up being close to $300, including tax and gratuity. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism because I had previously enjoyed my experiences at Daily Gather.
