I worked here for about a month and was let go after being sharked by my so called "team mates." We would have a meeting every Tuesday night because there was so many new people that didn't know what they were doing bc management didn't properly provide proper training when first hired. One of the main things we talked about was rotating and working together as a team and no one should be sharking patients. But the budtenders that had been there longer knew the patients that spend a lot money and the ones that didn't. So I'd get told to serve the patients that didn't spend much and they would steal the big sales because ppl only come in rushes at the same time for some reason lol. Id also be the main person doing all the cleaning and restocking while everyone else sharked for patients all day, which we were told we'd be punished for. But Everyone that works there only gets paid if you sell a certain amount per shift so expect to get hassled into spending more than what you want, every single time you go in here. After about a month I was let go because I had low sales which was only due to the fact that I was the only person that had every single other one of my tasks done and if I didn't do them we would've been punished as a team. But we were told not to shark and the people that did got rewarded ?? I don't get it... Management literally tells the budtenders to LIE to the customers just to make a quick buck it's literally disgusting. And I understand it's because they're an illegal shop but still it was the worst place for customer service you can go to or work at. Super easy to find way better deals and way a better selection literally anywhere else but this shop. They say they have deals every day but in reality they're just trying to get you to spend more. On top of all that it's a rat hole of a location. A piece of the CEILING FELL ON ME while I was working a receptionist shift. I have been going here with my wife for 2 years. Never again! I never liked the atmosphere. It is smokey (and my wife has asthma), the music so loud you often cannot hear what they are saying, and they have menacing looking security guards with rifles slung over their shoulders. Their biggest selling point was their prices. They just increased their prices by about 40% and stopped letting you use the 10% off coupon if you already are getting a bulk discount. The price increase is not the primary reason we are never going back. When my wife asked the employee about the price increase she was very rude and just kept saying, "No double dipping." She did not seem to have the context to realize that this was a big policy change. So my wife asked to speak with a manager. All the manager needed to do was explain to us that this indeed was the new policy. Instead, she was extremely rude to my wife, almost to the point of hostility. This manager needs to get some basic training in customer service. My wife is a former Marine, and she pushed back against this rudeness. Then things escalated to the point where the armed security guards started yelling for us to get out. We obliged, and we are never going back. This is quite a stupid way to run a business. We used to spend about 300-400 dollars every month there. All they had to do to keep our business was to keep calm, be polite, and answer our question. Their incompetent manager could not even manage that. They must be doing a great business if they can afford to alienate a 400 dollar per month customer just because their manager is too thin-skinned to manage an honest, direct question from an upset customer. Either that, or they are slowly destroying their business. We may not be the only customer they lose based on my wife's experience. In the end, they did not seem to care at all that they were losing us as customers. I am not sure they ever got the memo that weed is legal in California because they seem to run their business like a bunch of uptight, trigger-happy, paranoid gangsters.
