I recently stayed at One King West and got a note about this coffee shop. I had a quick search to see what other coffee shops were around and decided to give it a shot as I had to head to the subway and head up to Richmond Hill early in the morning. I went to head out to the coffee shop when I realized it was attached to the the hotel. I popped my head in to check out the price and was absolutely shocked and floored when it wasn't $5+ for a cup of drip coffee since it was in the hotel. It had regular coffee prices. I had a peak at the baked goods and decided for the sake of my waistline that I was going to just grab a coffee to go but the baked goods looked and smelled good. There were about 10 people ahead of me but the line moved quick, the staff were super friendly and I got my coffee in no time. I was expected terrible coffee but honestly, was pretty surprised it was a decent cup of coffee. Super friendly staff and came back the next morning vs trying to find a different coffee shop in the area

I kept passing by this place, and it was always crowded in the mornings so wanted to try it. Such a disappointment..! I guess the crowd was just subway traffic in rush hour. Or just for coffee. I ordered a latte. Poor foam art-if you are into that- but it tasted good. However, my food was a big shock. I waited more than 20min for avocado toast. Then the thing came looked nothing like the photos they put. Overcooked egg, died (probably 2 days ago) radish, a few grape tomato halves for $18! I sent it back, explained the egg was overcooked and all that. The staff didn't want to change at the beginning-said kitchen might be closing ( 12.30pm. They write breakfast is available till 1pm). I asked her to ask if its possible, anyway she said ok. They changed but the new one was also not any different.. I add the photo they put in menu, the one came at first and the one they "changed". at that point, I was so hungry and couldn't deal with this anymore. I ate whatever it is. There was even something that I couldn't identify what it is. Hoped maybe it was over-crispy bacon bcs it looked dark red and try to bite it. Nope, just smt burned-still don't know what it was. An exciting Sunday breakfast turned into a frustrating disappointment. I suggest the person prepares avocado toast to at least google what s/he cooks. Staff behind the coffeeshop counter was helpful, I don't blame them at all. However, I wonder if management ever tries what they have been serving.. Worst spent $30 in total. Will never come back.

There's a new cafe in town at the corner of King and Yonge right next to One King West Hotel. It is also accessible through the hotel if you're a guest there. Don't let the upscaley white and gold decor keep you away as their prices are competitive! I got their flavoured latte for just over $4 including tax. Their flavours include vanilla, caramel and pumpkin spice. Since it is fall, I went for the pumpkin obviously haha and I actually liked it more than Starbucks. I will also mention that their barista is super fast! They also have a selection of sandwiches, cheeses and gluten free doughnuts, which I thought was interesting. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available and I love that their space is so bright compared to other cafes. Plus I didn't come out smelling like coffee so that's a plus. Be sure to check them out for your next caffeine fix!

Coffee stop here now for honey/Americano. Honey in small packets. Yuk. Otherwise is good. Nice food options here also.

Good little cafe open on a Saturday and just around the corner from Hockey hall of fame! Masala chai not bad for a city location.

I love ginger beverages- it wasn't overpowering here, I mostly tasted the kiwi and sparkling lemonade. My friend got one of their banana bread drinks - if you like the taste of hojicha, this was particularly strong which I personally enjoyed! Love how the store also has sections where it is like a little market selling local goods and always fun to see the dogs that are sitting outside. The prices are a little expensive (my refresher before tax was $7.5) but typical for what you'd pay in Toronto for a fun drink, from what I've seen.

I'd absolutely come here to get some work done if I was able to get a seat. One thing I really love is that they sell handmade goods from local artists and host craft nights, it feels very community driven and adds such a fun, unique touch to the café. Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. They're known for their creative, seasonal drink menu, and I'm already excited to come back to try what they release next season. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.

It said established in 1919, so we thought it's a good sign it's been in business over a century; although not this location specifically. Their history in the 20th century was that they started in Berlin, Germany in 1919, but they were a Jewish family who ended up immgrating to Israel in 1933, opening their store there, and expanded locations throughout Israel. Their history in Toronto & North America (including some in the US) is much more recent since opening in 2017. Unfortunately, my closest is New York City; none in Maryland or DC area. This location is in busy downtown Toronto. We sat outside on their big patio area as the weather was warm and could enjoy the view of the buildings, people, cars, etc. Server was friendly answering our questions. I ended up getting an egg benedict with salmon in a croissant. It was creative and delicious take on egg benedict. The only issue was it was messy to eat in the croissant, but I didn't care as it was so delicious. My girlfriend got a Belgian waffle with blueberries, whipped cream, etc. It was unique and very good & sweet too as I tried a bite. Overall, this was a 5-star experience with great food, service, & atmosphere.

Coupled with Aussie staples like vegemite and Noosa magazines (takes me straight back there!), as well as gorgeous ceramic coffee mugs for purchase, the vibes are great here. While it is a smaller shop, there is enough seating for 3 tables, and it's very cozy. Had to go for a flat white, given the Aussie homage here. This one got my approval (and I'm picky about my flat whites) - they used a lighter, more balanced espresso roast, paired with just the right amount of creamy frothed milk.
