Came to Cooke St for their BOGO strawberry hojicha/matcha. I love the strawberry puree that they use because they use real strawberries that adds a nice chunky texture to the drink. This isn't the best hojicha I've had, but the strawberry puree makes up for it. These drinks are huge, so it's a pretty good value especially with the BOGO deal. I love how friendly and efficient they are, especially when they are getting a ton of drink orders during their special. There's a handful of tables inside, as well as outside. Definitely recommend coming here for their strawberry hojicha!

I ordered a strawberry matcha latte with oat milk and a garlic lover's salmon and ahi bowl. The strawberry matcha latte is one of my faves and best consumed with oat milk in my opinion. As for the poke bowl, it is one of the pricier poke bowls I've purchased in a while but it was really good nonetheless. As a garlic lover I especially enjoyed the crunchy garlic pieces with my poke. I went around lunch time and service was really quick. Lucky for me there was an open street parking stall when I went otherwise not sure where I would have parked. If I had more time I would've stayed to enjoy my drink and food there as there are plenty of tables inside to enjoy your meal.

I was so looking forward to grabbing matcha with Donna O. and Jackie K. I had heard good things about Cooke Street Market, but had never been. Glad I finally got to try the infamous matcha! The cafe's interior is so cute--lots of wooden furniture, fun merch, colorful decor, and a local feel. A lot of folks are coming to talk story, work, or study. There's a decent amount of seating from couches, communal tables, and more. It's a popular spot to hang out or grab-and-go. Our group of four all got different drinks. I got the Strawberry Matcha Latte with Oat Milk. Oh my gosh, this drink was huge! It's bigger than my head. There were lots of strawberries, and the matcha was high-quality and so vibrant. It took a while for it all to mix, but it was a real treat to drink! My Dad loved his Oatmeal Cookie Latte, and the others had refreshing drinks. Highly recommend coming for drinks here. They also serve various Japanese foods and small bites, which sounded good. Cooke Street Market is located in Imperial Plaza. There's free parking in the Imperial Plaza parking garage; bring your ticket, and they will validate it. Come for the drinks and a relaxing time!

I took advantage of Cooke Street Market's 10th Anniversary promotion! I ordered a Strawberry Matcha Latte with Oat Milk and a Hojicha Matcha Latte with Oat milk. With the promotion, both drinks cost $10 something, total (including tip). I was fortunate that there was no line at the time I entered the Market. My order was made fresh and ready for pick up within 5 minutes. I was hungry so I also ordered a side of chicken Karaage. It was delicious and tasty. Perfect snack with my matcha latte. Service with a smile and efficient here! Ample seating and tables are available here. No inside bathroom, however, outside bathrooms are available. Side notes: Strawberry Hojicha Latte: Uses roasted green tea (hojicha) for a bold, nutty, and earthy flavor profile that balances well with the sweet strawberry chunks. The signature Strawberry Matcha Latte at Cooke Street Market in Honolulu features house-made strawberry syrup/puree (containing real fruit bits), high-quality Nagata Chaen matcha imported from Kyoto, Japan, and a choice of milk (dairy or oat milk). It is known for being not too sweet, creamy, and layered. (HONOLULU Magazine)

Hands best strawberry matcha on island, love the fact that they use fresh strawberries! Also a great spot to get some work done while enjoying my drink.

Love cooke street market for their BOGO matchas! However the matcha today felt a bit less concentrated than usual. My drink is on the left and my friend's is on the right. Mine is whole milk and hers is soy but theres still quite a difference between matcha amount and flavor. Overall my drink was rather bland

Parking: street parking in front and validated lot parking available Service: take out Ambiance: cozy setting, with a couple of seating options inside the cafe. Be sure to check out their instagram as they have specials every once in a while (BOGO) Food: one of my favorite matcha places. would recommend the strawberry matcha and strawberry hojicha. it's not too sweet and they use real strawberry chunks in their syrup.

Such a cute spot - tons of local art and little trinkets you can buy. I definitely want to come back to try their homemade spam and food I got the matcha latte with coconut milk. Loved the size (she's big!) but the matcha itself wasn't hitting for me. It wasn't strong enough and didn't have the umami-ness I hoped for and tasted a bit watered down. Could've been the milk choice though because the coconut can overpower.

Food/(Drinks): 5/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 5/5 I wanted matcha so decided to stop by Cooke Street Market. I found parking on the street. The inside is aesthetically pleasing and gave a "homey" feel to it. Ordered 4 drinks: hibiscus tea-ade, strawberry matcha, strawberry hojicha latte, and their Valentine's Day Special: Be My Matcha. The hojicha latte met my expectations as I wanted more of an earthy matcha drink. The hibiscus tea-ade was refreshing with the lemonade inside. Their strawberry matchas are sweet and delicious. I would recommend coming to try this place!

    :( Not good.

Was super excited to try this place since a friend recommended their matcha drinks. I ordered the iced matcha milk tea. It was not bad but not good either. The girls working were so nice though! I got the ginger chicken and miso salmon. Ginger chicken was lacking the ginger flavor and sauce, but the miso salmon was so buttery and cooked to perfection!

I was on keto diet until I ate at Cooke Street Market... I ordered a Poké bowl, and as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to eat everything! The fish was so fresh and how can you have poke without rice? Was it worth the cheat? Yes definitely, and there was no regrets! Cooke Street Market is such a cute little shop. They have so a handful of seats as well as cute merchandise. The staff is also always so friendly too! In addition to their Poké bowl, they have a handful of different café drinks. Their strawberry Matcha looks super good and I'm definitely gonna try that the next time. I believe there is parking in their building however, there's also metered street parking right in front. Whenever I'm in the area, I always have a craving to go to Cooke Street market.

For almost $9 I was extremely disappointed with the strawberry matcha latte. If I wasn't already in my car driving away I would have gone back for a refund. The matcha watered down, the drink was lukewarm, and the only flavor I was tasting was the strawberry.

Now that I work in town, this is one of my favorite places to get a strawberry matcha latte. It's the perfect sweetness. Sometimes the place can get super busy during lunch. There is some seating inside and there's a couple tables outside. Will need to try some of their food the next time I go.

There's a two hour validated parking if you park in the building. Very tight though. There's also street parking in front of it if you can find one.

I missed the photo op but there was nothing captivating. The spicy sauce on the spicy salmon couldn't cover up the gamey taste. Same goes for the miso ahi, but it was slightly better than the salmon. The poke wasn't cut consistently, had some stringy pieces, and wasn't cold enough either. It seemed like it had been saturated for a while, too slimy. Plastic or styrofoam bowls would definitely help with the presentation. They're currently charging $20 for poke bowls served in a mini plate lunch container filled with mostly rice. The best part of the trip was the gelato. It's not theirs, they are vendors for Il Gelato. The dragonfruit and mango lilikoi combo made up for the mediocre poke. I would return for the gelato.

I liked that there was a condiment bar at the end to add any toppings you wanted. The fish was fresh and well seasoned, with no fishiness at all. I just wished there was a bit more white onion for crunch, but it was good regardless. The Fish and Chips were really good. The fish was super crispy, the meat was firm, and the fries were nicely fried. The tartar sauce or maybe more of a lemony aioli, was the star. It wasn't your usual tartar sauce; it had a homemade lemony sweetness that made it delicious. My only complaint was that the batter came off the fish pretty easily, which made it a bit tricky to eat at times.

Now I've had a lot of these in my life, and I must say, Iyasume are easily the best. See musubi and onigiri have humble origins as a quickly made homespun snack or on the go lunch, and when you spot them in the convenience environment they're often a giant ball of rice with a tinge of protein or seasoning for flavor. At Iyasume, these are culinary adventures, stacked with ingredients, all in handheld form, and the variety they offer is IMPRESSIVE! Of course musubi starts with the classic, SPAM. I had to order the kimchi + spam, shiso + spam, and unagi + tamago + spam, all of which were awesome (even the next day!). Onigiri here are actually layered with ingredients, so you get them in every bite, unlike the convenience store versions!
