Loved their matcha 10/10 ! I asked the baristas to modify my drink so it would be less sweet and they delivered! I tend to drink my iced matcha latte on the more bitter side, so I appreciated that they didn't overly sweeten my drink. I tried the vanilla and Mac nut as my sweetener of choice. My boyfriend got the iced hojicha latte which was pretty good but doesn't have too strong of that hojicha flavor. From my first visit here I was smitten. The open air seating right in front of the store is so inviting especially with the simple but beautiful orchid accent. There are a few stalls in the lot in front - I think 4...5 (?) plus one handicap. If there are no stalls available, there is plenty parking across the street in the paid lot and a ton of metered street parking along Waialae. On my first visit it was a humid day so I decided to try their Matcha Lemonade and bought the Matcha Lilikoi Soda for my friend. We both enjoyed our drinks, and decided the Lilikoi soda was the fave for the day. The lemonade was tasty, but the soda was a very nice blending of the lilikoi and matcha flavors. I think the bubbles of the soda helped the drink be lighter. My boyfriend who is a matcha lover wanted their Matcha-Cano and couldn't stop oooh-ing and ahhh-ing once he got his first taste. You can taste that the matcha is a premium tea - and the way they prepare it (I was able to watch and talk with one of the workers one day) ensures that your drink will be perfect every time. My friends appreciated the choice of milk for their Matcha Lattes and one even tried the Maui Lavender sweetener in her Latte which she loved!!! Matcha is definitely the latest craze and Daily Whisk provides the most authentic and delicious matcha lattes that I've ever had. I tried both the seasonal strawberry matcha latte w/ almond milk as well as the hapa latte. The strawberry was really yummy, but a little sweet for my liking (I'll definitely have to ask them to adjust sweetness). The Hapa latte was actually the winner for me. A combo of both hojicha and regular matcha was the duo that I didn't know I needed! You can also tell how authentic the matcha is with its vibrant color. The location itself was a little confusing as there's no large sign but it's located near the basketball courts; or directly across the street from the new Kaimuki Shokudo. Service: Workers are absolutely so sweet and very personable! They're open to explaining the different types of matcha and providing their recommendations. Located on the left side of Ten Tomorrow, Daily Whisk Matcha is a neighborhood gem. The matcha is very good quality, hence you'll notice the prices are on the steeper side. You can add sweetener for a dollar and can choose between Maui lavender, Big Island honey, Laie vanilla, Macadamia nut, or cane sugar (no extra charge). I've opted for the honey all the times I went, but I will try the Laie vanilla next, then the mac nut. They all sound so yummy! I've gotten the iced matcha latte every time so far, but hojicha fans swear by how good the hojicha is, so I may have to slide out of my comfort zone and try this one next. They do have a few stalls of parking in front of the shop, but it's small and usually full. Not to worry though! The giant paid parking lot across the street is super close and cheap!! There! I finally got to try the Daily Whisk! This cafe is tucked away in a cottage-y home turned retail space, sharing the space with another small clothing shop. There is a small parking lot right out front with about 6 stalls. There is a small sitting area where you can relax & enjoy your items if you like! I saw that they offer a bunch of different types of drinks & some pastries as well. The barista went over the menu as it was our first time there, and recommended the strawberry milk and matcha latte, stating that it was really popular. The drink is pink! Immediately yes lol. Love this place! In the past I haven't been a matcha fan but thought I'd try this place because it looked cute. I've been here multiple times since our first time coming here because it's so good and matcha is really good quality. Daily wisk has a really cute walk up set up with a few seats outside. I've tried the ice matcha latte, iced matcha-cano, and iced hojicha. My favorite is and ice matcha-cano with a splash of oatmilk and lavender syrup. Kaimuki is my hometown and I love that there are so many new places to get coffee and eat! There are a few special coffee shops in the area and I think I found another favorite to add to the list. The shop is tiny and has a order window and a few seats on the porch if you don't wanna grab and go. Parking is limited so hopefully you get lucky!! Decided to try this cute cafe tucked away on 11th Ave. The parking lot is small (only about 6 or so stalls I think?) so be prepared to get dropped off or find parking elsewhere if the lot is full. Anyway, the atmosphere was calm, friendly, and all females. Although the service was good, I've never regretted a food/beverage purchase in a while until today. If I'm being totally honest, I didn't feel enticed or inspired to come back so unfortunately this will be one of those one and done experiences for me and let me explain why... My total with tax (before tip) came out to a whopping $8.90. A regular matcha latte is $6.50, but there's an up-charge for almond milk and sweetener. This isn't sustainable for me or most people if we're being honest. I ordered an iced matcha latte w/ almond milk. The woman asked if I wanted it sweetened or not, so I said yes please. She asked if cane sugar was ok and I asked her what she would recommend, she said honey blends nicely and compliments the flavor of the matcha. So I went with their Big Island honey (big mistake because all sweeteners are all $1 extra while cane sugar is free). Anyway considering the price, I thought to myself well this must be some high quality/great tasting matcha! Took the first sip and quickly realized I had just wasted my money. The matcha wasn't great, it tasted highly diluted with lots of bitter notes. This means their matcha quality is poor/they aren't preparing it right. It wasn't even pleasantly sweet despite paying for the added honey sweeter. Overall, the matcha latte tasted very diluted in the first place and then with the almond milk, it totally drowned it out further. Not only that but it quite literally tastes watery, I'm guessing there's very little added matcha powder and mostly water, milk and ice. Caffeine content seems ok, I didn't feel the calm energy boost I would normally get when I get one from my usual place or if I'm preparing it at home. Again this all depends on quality of the powder/how it's prepared. Just a side note, I am in no way affiliated with ARVO Cafe in Kakaako; however, in all honesty... I prefer their large iced matcha latte w/ almond milk which by the way, comes sweetened and is less than $6, over this place. That's my usual go-to place for a delicious matcha latte and I guess I should have never strayed. read more
