No problems with ice cream. Problem was two windows were open for service but could not understand why two lines were not set up to take orders. Dairy Freeze is the only place I go to for soft-serve ice cream in the Quincy/Milton area. I like all their soft-serve flavors, but I'm in love with the coffee. You can get orange sherbet, vanilla, chocolate, coffee, and raspberry. And if you can't choose between two awesome flavors!? GET A TWIST. Orange-Vanilla Twist, Raspberry-Coffee Twist, Choco-Vanila Twist! They're all are delicious and huge! The small soft-serve is very, very big and costs $2.44 including tax. However, I didn't give them five stars because they're inconsistent with how much ice cream I get on my cone. Sometimes, I get an extraordinary amount, and other times, I get almost nothing. There's almost no parking (four-five spots), so park on a side street or in the Montillo's parking lot across the street. Came here on a summer afternoon in late June, ice cream was pretty good nothing too unique (except for the razzles which is ice cream and toppings swirrled together those were pretty cool!). I love Dairy Freeze, it's my "go to" place when I'm craving soft serve, slush, or a razzle. The prices are unreal, a LARGE soft serve is $2.80, you literally can't beat that! They have a variety of hard and soft serve ice cream flavors but I usually opt for the chocolate vanilla twist with rainbow sprinkles, they also have Richie's slush, frappes, sundaes, razzles (their version of a blizzard), and they even have food! I have eating here and had Ice cream alot in the past and always very good. That being said ordered small shrimp I got 5 shrimp medium size for $10.15. Asked the girl behind counter what is this she told me it is what it is. Last season the shrimp was fallen out of the container. This has happened with increasing frequency and Im getting tired of it. Just last week I order a choc soft serve cone and it's handed to me so soft that the moment I try to lick it, the ice cream falls onto my hands and onto the money I was going to use to pay for the cones. What a mess! I throw the sticky mess into the trash and tell the server I want a credit. She says "You want something else? Only the choc soft serve is that way." WHAT? If you KNOW it's that way then what are you doing SELLING it? It was definitely a hot 80+ degree day but aren't there a lot of those in summer---when people want to BUY ice cream? Plus I have to wonder what's the bacteria count in ice cream served so soft. If it ain't ready yet, don;t serve it! This is at least the 5th time this has happened to me over the last 3-4 years. Worst clams that I have ever seen. I called immediately to let them know but they did not ask me to return them. They basically said thanks for calling. When I went to pick it up they told me that there was no coleslaw left so she gave me what she had. I should have checked the order before leaving because there were six clams and the bellies were all black. The fries were undercooked too. I am not a big friend clams eater but I thought I would try them because they have had a pretty good reputation in the past. Mistake. Buyer beware. Take the time out and go somewhere where your twenty dollars will give you something edible. read more

I have not ordered food from the Dairy Freeze for awhile but had craving for scallops tonight.I called placed order which was ready in about 30 min.When I got home one order was wrong and the food inedible.We could squeeze the oil out of the french fries and onion rings..The scallops were tasteless.I ended up throwing most of it out. Needless to say i was not very happy about spending close to $50.00 for a dinner I didn't eat.Last time I buy food at this place.If you order there please ask them to hold the grease! read more

Just went to this place as I have recently moved to the area, the service was horrible and the food was inedible. The ice cream was good, although I only got a chocolate soft serve. We also ordered a scallop plate and it was so greasy that I couldn't bring myself to eat them and the onion rings had no flavor and tasted like grease and that is about it. The scallops also had a peculiar texture that lead me to believe they were not at all fresh. Overall I'd eat the ice cream again but never the food. read more
