If you are going to blow two days worth of calories on a hamburger, fries and chocolate shake, this is the best place to do it and well worth the drive out there from the Dallas area. I never eat anything but their burgers, fries and ice cream but those are all perfect. They are a usually busy but have plenty of seating although you will wait a bit to get your food. We just left Dairy Palace in Canton, Tx. My husband and I ordered a catfish burger with onion rings and a nacho supreme with guacamole. After paying for our order, we were asked to pull up. We waited for over 25 minutes and we still did not get our order. At that point,my husband went inside to see what was taking so long and they said they could not find the order. Then about five minutes later they started that they have to cook some more chips and will bring the order out to us. When the order was brought to us, I opened the container that has my nachos and gnats came flying out of the container. I took that disgusting mess back into them and demanded my money back. I was given a refund for my order. I will never stop there for food again. This is unexceptable. In addition no employee were wearing masks even though Covid 19 still exists. I did not enjoy my hamburger, fries or shake. I had the burger all the way and they drowned it in mustard. The fries were small for the price and undercooked. The milkshake was very disappointing. For a place called the Dairy Palace I expected the milkshake to be the shining star of the meal. It was very thin and when I drank all the chocolate milk I was left with what appeared to be a very fine brown slushy with no flavor. I ate breakfast this morning at the restaurant. Had ham country omelette with one slice of toast and one biscuit. It took 1 hour for my food to arrive, and yes I did see the sign that said it could take 30 min plus to get my food, but when people that got there 45 min after me get their food first it's not ok. Most definitely not worth the price. Place wasn't too busy, but you couldn't find a single clean table. Many, but not all of the staff moved really slowly. My burger was just okay, but whole bottom bun was soggy from grease. Cheese on my brothers salad was hard and greasy like it had been sitting out for hours without being kept cold. First off, drive through is slow, slow slow...20 minute or more wait time. Multiple times I've been in the drive through and vehicles have cut in front of me after I have ordered. I assume those vehicles have ordered online and jump in line to pick up...maybe just rude. I have no idea the reason but it is infuriating. Food is cooked when you order so you would think your food would be hot when you receive it. Not so much if someone cuts in line in front of you. If your food is not ready when you get to the pay window, you have to pull up and wait...and wait...and wait. Did I mention that you have to wait? They have very few checks and balances to make sure they bring food to the right car. The person at the pay window codes the ticket with the type of vehicle (car, truck). They don't ask your name. They don't ask for the make, model of the vehicle. The chances of them bringing you the wrong order is extremely high as there may be 3 vehicles in line. Maybe they should take a lesson from Chic Fil A and they should at minimum ask for your name. Even better would be if they also asked for the make, model and color of your vehicle. For example, Chili's does this on pick up orders. Better that you tell them because the person at the pay window might not be paying close enough attention. then there is the issue with masks. As I waited and waited for my food, many people went inside the restaurant without masks. I'm really not sure this is a safe place to eat during COVID. Two stars because the food is good. Zero stars for service. Regardless, when they make a mistake the offended customer should automatically be given a gift card. No questions asked. No matter what the problem. I think they take customers for granted and with wait times that long and serving cold food, it is not the cook(s) which are the issue. They do not have the number of staff it takes to service the number of customers. read more

Living in Canton, my family and I order from here quite often. Just had an order tonight, and the girl that took my order was friendly and she repeated the correct order back to me. When I got home (I placed the order at the drive thru), I found only one of the sandwiches was correct, and the steak fingers didn't have the gravy with them. I realize they were busy; but, when the order is repeated back correctly, it should be correct when handed to the customer. That's the reason I only give 3 stars this time, especially since we typically spend $45-$50 per order at least three times a month. Was staying across the street at Mill Creek RV resort. Hit the drive thru for a burger for lunch the first day. Got a 1/2 pound, fully dressed. AWESOME burger. Ordered a small fry, which were good but lacking salt/pepper and served cold. Wait time at the drive thru was too long. I appreciate the sign 'food isn't made until ordered' but when you're that busy, burgers should be grilling, ready for the bun. Obvious fries were sitting a long time. Day 2 I went to the drive thru for breakfast. Got breakfast tacos and sausage biscuit. Overall, great food. Long wait again. Told my wife she had to try the burger so we went by for lunch on the way home. Line was long and not moving so we decided to leave (as did many others in line). I appreciate a great place to get a burger but they may want to consider expanding to be able to accommodating their volume. Service is lacking due to the pure volume. With a break in the rain we've been having of late Ms. Jones and her rock star hubby decided to head out to Canton to do a little Trade Day shopping and give Dairy Palace a whirl--what a delicious and fun afternoon we had. Dairy Palace is an open 24 hours/7 days a week, diner-style place. It's cute, kitschy, lots of booths, lots of bright yellow and a HUGE menu of cooked-to-order, good ol' fashioned, diner-style goodness. From burgers, to fried chicken, to Mexican food and everything else in between, Ms. Jones has to tell you that every single plate she saw brought to hungry customers looked better than the next. On this first visit, Ms. Jones had a small hamburger and fries while Mr. Rockstar took in an elk burger with plum sauce. Ms. Jones' burger was oozing with goodness--a perfect size patty with crisp lettuce, chopped onion (loved the chopped onion!), tomato and pickles all neatly wrapped in that fantastic diner paper of the days of yore. Hubby felt his burger was a little overdone, and found the elk to be "gamey," however Ms. Jones can't help but wonder why on Earth someone would walk into a homestyle diner and order something "exotic?"
