This is literally not only the worst Dairy Queen I've ever been to but probably just the worst fast food place EVER. I live in town so I've been here several times. They are always out of product. They are always understaffed. Anytime I go to the drive thru it's at least a 10 minute wait for food. On several occasions I've been told to wait at the drive thru intercom for my order to be taken. After 10 minutes I ask if I can order and they say they're still not ready. I end up leaving. This is just ridiculous. Not only that but the fries are always cold, the burgers horribly thrown together that looks like a mess in garbage can. About the only thing they don't screw up is the blizzards. I one time ordered a chocolate cone dipped in cherry and they somehow messed that up and gave me vanilla. I don't know why we keep giving it another chance - probably because it's the only thing open late. Do yourself a favor and drove to Tillamook for fast food. read more

Update a year later: still confused and I trained staff. Get it together guys!! I've never seen so many confused workers in my life. They all just stair at each other blankly. My food has been up for 5 mins now and they are making ice cream treats for people who ordered after me. I've watched 4 others come up asking for their food and EVERY TIME the workers all look confused. Zero management and zero competence. I know weed is legal here and you would swear everyone was high. I was doing a Fill in delivery route on Monday 09/16/19. And on my way back just around Lunch time. I was heading North on 101 and decided It was time for lunch. So I stopped at the Dairy Queen In Garibaldi. The girl at the counter was very Nice and helpful. I ordered a Double 1/2 pound burger meal to go. I asked for no tomato and extra pickles and offered to pay more for extra , She said nope not a problem.And within about 5 minutes I was walking out the door and was heading to my truck when the girl that was the cook was outside the back door told me to have a great day(Sweet Cute young lady), I said Thanks And was on my way. I opened the bag and had a nice size box of fresh fries, yummy! And when I opened up my Burger and took a bite. OMG it was the best Burger I had in a very long time. And when you ask for extra Pickles they put about 8 on there. Much better than other Dairy Queen's in the past that gave like 4 pickles. The burger was Juicy and delicious. Jeepers this place is soooo slow. I have been to this DQ a few times over the years and everytime I go through the drive through I wait at least 20-25 minuets, This is not fast food. Went here over 4th of July, the food was terrible, you could tell the counter person was new, which I have patience for ( we've all been there) But my hamburger was so dry, black and barely warm that the American cheese was just there, you could tell the hamburger was cooked and put to the side until it was ordered, we spent 35.00 dollars on all our food, If we weren't with hungry kids I would have sent the food back, instead took it as lesson, don't so back. we told our friends who live at the beach and they said NOOOOO never go there it horrible place to eat. wow, what business person wants that repertation from your locals. This DQ is garbage. I got a blizzard and it took 15 minutes, and there was no line. While the lady who was making my blizzard she touched her buttcrack to pull up her pants that half of her butt was hanging out of. She wasn't wearing gloves and proceeded to make my blizzard. Worst customer service of any fast food restaurant I have been to in 20+ years. Our soda cups were only 2/3 full and it took them 5 minutes to make our simple sundies which were practically melted by the time we got our food. They forgot to cook it after we ordered. Then the employee slammed the drive thru window quickly before we could even ask for ketchup. We honked 4 times before we finally got a response. Over the past week that we've been there they've been rude and always out of at least something everyday. And the place is always dirty.

I live in Tillamook and we go there as a treat here and there.. EVERY TIME I have been there the service has sucked!!!! The first time they got the order beyond wrong and after waiting 30-45 minutes for it.. I fed my kids what was given to us.. As we were waiting I watched other who came in after us and received there food before us... Needless to say.. We were offered a free meal for the next time.. I will say, the manager, April was the only pleasant thing out of the experience.. So we went today.. It wasn't busy at all and they questioned our order 2x when we got to the window... How hard is it to get 4 blizzards wrong? 2 blondies and 2 brownies... Then they gave us smalls...for $18 my mom about shit... needless to say they fixed that right away... Oh.. when we finally did get the right size... We were given 3 blondies and 1 brownie... We took em and left... I wonder how many calls a day they get in complaints??? read more

Let me start by saying the staff at this DQ were amazing and hardworking. Even though they were short handed they had a smile for us and thanked everyone for their patience. I don't know what's going on but the owner has some major problems here. The cook quit this morning and 6 people quit last week. The three staff on duty had to close the drive thru as they couldn't keep up with the lobby traffic. The lobby had a fan and some other repair parts laying around, tables needed wiped down and garbage needed taken out. Long line out the door and dozens of others saw the line and left. That's a significant loss of revenue. These remaining staff deserve a raise! read more

They have some I love DQ they always have good food and great frozen treats. The most fun is when they come out with signature blizzards! Lemon meringue pie-S'mores some of the best flavors I could ever think of. Also it seems to me that a lot of the DQs are going through a change? New uniforms, a little extra service when ordering, I have always liked this place even in times of low. I will still be coming here. read more

So my party was at the cheese factory in Tillamook -- and we were hungry...and since I know that the best food Tillamook had to offer was the new Dennys, I said, "hey, why not see what is up the road in Garibaldi. Needless to say, we ended up here. It was a mom and pop operation for sure. When we ordered, some young female took our order...and when we asked a question, and she didn't know, she yelled, "mom -- come over here!" -- so yeah...family run. I got a basket of fries and some chicken strips and these mfrs wanted to charge for some bbq and ranch like WTFrog its not ran very well and you're the only person in line and it seems like theres a ten to fifteen minute wait all the time!!! Stopped to get a late night meal going through drive thru. Placed our order, drove up to the window, gave the lady our money. Next thing we knew the manager informed us they were out of meat and there grill had been cleaned and the cook had gone home and they were actually closed. When we asked her why the open sign was still on she informed us she hadn't had time to turn it off. Now this was a car full of restaurant worker who would never have treated customers that way. Your cook doesn't go home or clean the grill until your closed. We would never have turned customers away while we were still open. Honestly I don't know how this rest stays open. read more

we had spent the day touring the coast and really needed to eat SOMEthing. didn't want anything really heavy at any of the other local restaurants, so we walked a block to DQ. we both had the bacon chicken ranch. it was alright. we took our time eating, and then hubby had an ice cream cone. so we watched people come in, eat and leave. the tables needed cleaning when we got there. no one came by to check the tables as people came/went. the 3 to 4 workers in the back were busy busy busy chatting. had to catch their attention each time we were at the counter they were so involved in their conversations. our hometown DQ isn't great either, but it's not THIS bad read more

Horrible place. Sickening garbage food that's overpriced. Their service at this location is horrendous. I don't think anyone knows what's going on. I've complained and never even heard back. I'm sure the manager is too busy teaching his workers how to screw up every order and take their sweet time doing so. Some DQ locations are great, but this one stinks. So gross and mismanaged. The last 6 times I have gone, their soft serve didn't work. I called ahead of time today to make sure it was working. They acted like I was an idiot for even asking. Excited, I drove to get my kids and I some dessert... "hmmm the soft serve is getting a little soft!" They were out of dilly bars, and the frozen stars. I was sad. It is getting two stars only because the blizzard was tasty - even though $4.99 for a small is ridiculous. The fish, ordered without the bun, still came with limp lettuce piled on it and a horrible tarter sauce. The fish was so salty I couldn't eat it. My friend ordered a DQ ultimate burger and it came without special sauce and without bacon. It took three trips to our car to get all our food. They gave us one blizzard at the window, had us pull up and then brought the other blizzard; then came out later with the two ice teas; then came out later with our meal. Called Sara the manager to complain - and she didn't really care. No offer to make it right; no apology - no nothing. We will not be back, and we are locals and will be sharing our experience with others. read more

Most horrible Customer Service I have ever received. Sad, because the owners probably don't even know!!

I found myself in Garibaldi with a hankering for an ice cream cone. Went into this Dairy Queen about 8:30 pm and found a filthy establishment!!! The floors were so dirty and sticky that my shoes stuck with every step. There were food bits, napkins and straw wrappers strewn about. I thought I would peek behind the counter and see if it was any cleaner and then decide whether I would risk ordering food. It was just as disgusting, or worse, behind the counter. If anyone thinks that the actual food prep area and practices are any better than areas that meet the public eye you are pretty naive. I left (without my ice cream) and will never go to this restaurant again. read more

I live in town and just wanted a quick lunch. I do agree with all the comments about sticky floors and what not. Ordered one of the 5-buck lunches. After 17 minutes of waiting (fast food?!) I asked form money back. No one asked about why or if they could fix the problem. This is not the first time there has been a problem with ordering or getting food. Worst Ever! A bunch of kids running the place who don't care about customers. When I pulled up the back door for the kitchen was open and the staff were outside smoking right by the ordering box. Lovely now I have a cloud of smoke to order thru. Then comes the order when I pull up to the window 15 minutes later she gives me my total I pay her and then oh yeah no chocolate ice cream. Wait I paid and now you tell me you don't have part of my order. I get my burger go home and find cold hard French fries and the wrong burger. I figure why waste my time driving back so as I start to eat the bun is dry and hard the lettuce is wilted. Dairy Queen is the worst!! You ruined our celebration. After receiving a confirmation email that our cake would be ready and then driving 1/2 an hour in the rain to pick it up, it wasn't there!!! CONFIRMATION EMAIL???!!! Worse, the person in charge acted like I was bothering her. After a looking for the cake she offers the explanation that they have new owners. Turns out that is 8 month old news. Seems like you could get your act together to follow the email protocol of a national company in 8 months. She calls her supervisor who explains that this happened to someone else a few days ago and offers me $10 off a cake. Take your offer and cram it. We will NEVER order from you again. You have a great product, but your service is the absolute worst. In addition I saw the same person that was looking for my cake cut a banana on the counter next to the cash register, pick it up with her bare hands and hand it to another bare handed employee to but into a smoothie. I hate to put a review like this on here, but as the dairy queen website refused to load my contact form twice. I will. Today I viewed the cook put my hotdog in the microwave with bare hand, no plate, no napkin, nothing. He removed it the same way. That along with the filth on the floor of the grill/kitchen area propelled me to refuse the food item and ask for a refund. The cashier wanted to first address with the cook (after trying to persuade me to wait for it to be made properly). I gave up on the refund after waiting awhile and was leaving. I found the cashier outside, upset. She'd been yelled at for reporting my complaint. I doubt the health department would have been happy to find the violations in that place, but my biggest concern is for Your health. Don't eat there unless you find better staff-and by better I mean trustworthy. I use to work at the Dairy Queen in garibaldi and I'll be the first to tell you that when Rob and Gayle owned it, it was hell working there! They were so cheap that they never got anything fixed! A lot of thing were held together by tape! They honestly didn't give a shit about their employees! All they cared about was making money and being sure not to spend it on fixing the things that needed to be fixed around the store! The new owners came it was great! They actually cared about the employees and fixing things around the store! Since they have showed up so much has been done to make the store better! Yes they still have a long way to go but it's definitely a hell of a lot better than when Rob and Gayle owned it! And for the people who complain about it run by a bunch of teenagers, DQ has always had a bunch of teenagers? So I don't understand why you wanna start complaining now? Yes DQ isn't owned by locals anymore, big deal! And for the people who complained about waiting long, you were most likely waiting on fresh food! I would much rather have fresh food wouldn't you? But wait I also forgot that you wanna drive 15mins back to tillamook before you eat your food and than complain that it's cold! Well no shit it's gonna be cold! Seriously people use your fucking heads! And it's fan food not fast food! It literally says it in every commercial and on the cups! I would honestly suggest you spend 1 day doing their job and I will almost guarantee you would hate it!
