This was a fantastic dinner! We came in after a day of sight seeing along the coast. Out drinks were created by one of the kitchen staff, and had the perfect amount of flair. My shrimp and grits was unique and delicious. Creamy grits, tender shrimp, and perfectly complimenting veggies. A great little seaside establishment that will add perfectly to your Oregon Coast itinerary.

Stumbled upon this place after a decent hike near Cape Lookout. Sat outside in their protected from wind patio (so didn't see interior decor). Food was tasty. A particular note on the special of the day - a flatbread with smoked salmon. It was lively with a smattering of lemon zest. I'm going to recreate at home! Service was snappy - young staff eager to take your plates away. I forgot to photo the clam chowder. It was very good.

Good service, friendly, clean, great food, we came here twice April for our anniversary, and again in may for Mother's Day.

We been coming here for years and love coming sharing their Calamari salad!!! The salad is always so fresh, herby, and spicy!! We also got their prawn pasta special and it was very hearty and buttery.

Started with the clam chowder that tasted more like wild rice soup, clams were chewy. Cheeseburger was cooked as requested, salt pepper and maybe some paprika, good size burger. miso Glazed steelhead, tender cooked perfectly. Breaded fried oysters and fries, not overly breaded, some tender, some chewy. Sat by their pizza oven- best seat next to outside.

Honestly I didn't even know Netarts existed but I somehow took a wrong turn on my way to Cannon Beach and it ended up being the right place to be. Nestled along the bay is The Schooner restaurant, which is a charming place to spend an hour or so munching on some good food. The warm lighting, ample seating, and wood interior makes it a cozy place to spend some time, and the staff are incredible. They're highly attentive, able to make you feel like you're the only customer in the restaurant even when you're not, and will get you your food fast! Very generous portions of food for what you pay. Personally felt like the fish had more breading than fish and needed more flavor, as did the Cole slaw, but definitely cooked the right away. Didn't leave me feeling super greasy and like I had to pass out on the beach after. Felt good enough to go for a jog!

Wonderful dinner and drinks on a gorgeous Netarts evening. We are camping nearby and didn't want to travel far for dinner the day we arrived. We decided to go to Schooners; we've been before but this time the food was better, the cocktails were yummy and the service was exceptional! My husband ordered traditional fish & chips and I went with the cod and a side salad. While both options were great, the fries were a little on the blonde side and could have used a few extra minutes in the fryer. My lemon drop was amazing with a sugar rim! Our waitress/bartender offered excellent, friendly service and while the restaurant was full, the staff handled it like pros! It is a little pricey, but not more than most coastal eateries. You can't beat the view. We will be back!

The best thing about this place is the view of Netarts Bay. Unfortunately, everything else, not so much. My fist tip off was AC/DC blasting in the diningroom. That should have been a clear warning. Mu friend and I each ordered drinks and let's just say that my Cosmopolitan left a lot to be desired. I found it undrinkable. When I asked fir a replacement, the server retorted, 'well, its what you ordered.' I asked for a Manhattan and came to the table in an effervescent state due to it being shaken to near death. I ordered steamers as an app and they were delivered with our entrees. Our server never checked in with us and my guess is, he had to work both the bar area and bar deck area. My friend shared that her crab cakes, salad, and drink were fine. He charged me for the awful drink and never asked us about how our meal was. Never coming here again.

We went for a family girls vacation for Mother's Day! We stayed at a nearby house that recommended the establishment- I was super impressed!! Great views, staff friendly, food came promptly and was delicious!! The best part I wasn't shocked by the bill for 5 of us it was $200 - and, considering most of us had seafood I think that was a bargain!! We will definitely revisit if vacationing in the area again!!

Service was spot on! I had the Oyster Rockoyaki x2, they were so delicious had a 2nd order of them. The clam chowder was creamy and lots of clams. Ordered the wood fired flatbread they have a rotating special on these. If you're on the Oregon coast I would recommend eating here.

Sounds like fun and tasty so we left early on Saturday morning. We splashed in and played for a few hours. After getting out of the water we walked to the food cart restaurant on the bank of Nehalem river. When we walked up there was a sign "Waiting Time One Hour". Ok! It's a three day warm winter weekend so many people headed to the coast. We ordered beer and chatted away the time. This is a good food cart, outside seating on the river on the sunny day. The cart is associated.with the roadside store in the downtown. The back of the store has a covered deck with tables in case it rains. Prices are high, for three piece halibut with a dab of coleslaw and overcook cold french fries was $32. My friend had the three-piece cod for $26ish. My friend really wanted to try this place and she enjoyed the cod. I, on the other hand, have had better with Moore sloth and fries at other places on the coast., But you're here, right. You're on a mini vacation, just enjoy the warm winter day and nice food.

But given that we were there close to closing time and we had to get back to our Airbnb, we chose to take the food to go. I tried the fish and chips and clam chowder, and we both had the chocolate cake, all of which were phenomenal. The clam chowder was warm and comforting, even though I had it after getting back to the Airbnb, and the fish and chips were perfectly fried and crispy without being too crispy. But the stand-out item was definitely the chocolate cake, which neither of us were expecting. We were expecting a dry, half-decent cake, but the cake we got was perfectly moist and rich without being overpoweringly rich and heavy. Definitely worth going to for just that cake, if nothing else!

I'm almost a little sad that we picked this place first, because I don't know that any other place we eat at is going to be as good or better. This is a combination restaurant / fish counter. Don't let that discourage you from eating there. When we walked in, there was one table left. Always a good sign when a place is busy, especially during the off season. There's generally a reason why the other places are empty. In addition, there was no smell from the fish counter. A sign that everything is fresh. Honest, you really don't even notice there is a counter there once you sit down. We went with a half-dozen oysters on the half shell, Dominic's Fish and Chips, which is the fresh local catch of the day. Today it happened to be Rockfish, always one of my favorites, the Shrimp and Chips, and The Cioppino, which is a seafood stew. This has clams, mussels, fish, prawns, and crab in a tomato sauce. There's a decent selection of beer as well. First, I want to say these were some of the best oysters I've had, fresh out of Willapa Bay. We should have ordered a dozen or two. These came with some lemon and fresh horseradish. Try the horseradish! The oysters tasted great with nothing on them or with a little fresh horseradish. The fish was fried perfectly, golden brown, not oily, and not overcooked. You can easily tell this was fresh Rockfish. The shrimp were fried perfectly as well. The Cioppino was amazing! Again, all the seafood was prepared perfectly. But it was the flavor of the stew that really stood out. This is a dish not to be overlooked and tastes great on a cold day. The food here is outstanding! Though this is a combination market / restaurant, the atmosphere felt comfortable and inviting. The service was great as well. Everyone here was friendly. If you're looking for some great fresh seafood, the Fish Peddler is a must eat and there are plenty of items on the menu that can bring you back multiple times. Honestly, I hope we come back here before we leave town.
