I stopped by to get some ice cream with my girls while we were in town during a train ride layover. We ordered two strawberry milkshakes and one cookie dough sundae. It took over 10 minutes, and I honestly thought our order had been forgotten. It looked like someone new was being trained, which I completely understand, being short-staffed can be tough. However, if someone is new and still learning, they should be supported and trained, not spoken to harshly. She genuinely looked confused, and the way she was being spoken to was uncomfortable to witness. My two teens also felt uncomfortable. Because they seemed overwhelmed, I didn't ask about the delay. The shakes themselves were good, although one was already melting by the time we got it. Overall, I hope the team can work on creating a more supportive environment for new employees. read more

This dairy Queen is really a shame to the name of the restaurant. You can drive up to the drive-thru and there's three people in there working and you still have to wait 10 to 15 minutes for them to even take your order! Then when you tell him that the burger was still frozen in the middle their answer is well I cooked it for the time that it said to cook it! And they're out of ice cream at least 40 to 50% of the time! It would be nice if the people at work there were actually public service oriented and didn't act like you were busting up their social time while they're getting paid! read more

So being a local who lives very close to this DQ I will give them 4 Stars for effort. This business has a high staff turnover rate (mostly teens it seems) and Ive had both great and not so good experiences here. I always loved DQ just for the blizzards, I'm not really into fast food but the burgers are pretty good actually. I remember a couple years ago when I first moved here the drive through would take like 45 min with only 1 or 2 cars in front, they deff seem to have picked up the pace now thanfully! The staff has always been happy and friendly with me. My wife went to this location at ~8:50 PM in Garibaldi, OR to pick up an order i placed through the app which said the location is open until 10:00 PM. Firstly, they didnt care to check the orders coming through the app so the orders weren't ready even after around 20 mins of placing it. Secondly, the doors were closed 1 hr before the closing time and my wife was asked to come through the drive through window even when she walked to the store. Thirdly, they didnt bother to give napkins, lids for drinks or trays to carry them. My wife was treated with disrespect and she walked from the store holding two drinks in her hands all the way. It was a horrible experience that demands more professionalism from the staff at this location to treat everyone respectfully. Oh goodness I am not sure where to start. I have been here twice and each time the ice cream machine wasn't working? The visits were about a month apart. This last time the speaker in drive through wasn't working either. I feel that this place needs a little TLC- maybe keep up on maintenance? It just seems odd so many things aren't working or are in need of being serviced. Also since the machine wasn't working the girl said they had dilly bars but when I got up to the window she said oops someone must of sold the last one?!!! The worst Dairy Queen we have ever been to. The Chocolate Brownie Extreme had ZERO chocolate ice cream. When we asked about this, the guy said they do not have chocolate ice cream. The girl said, "I've never seen chocolate ice cream here." It was vanilla ice cream with some spongy brownie chunks in it. Not good in the least. That's all you really need to know. I go to this DQ often, and it's great! It's a bit slow on busy days, and they occasionally run out of items because they are BUSY! However, I love the kids who work there, who smile and try as hard as they can to please. That means more than two extra minutes in line for REAL handmade food. For what it's worth, I've never seen chocolate ice cream at a DQ; I think that's Sonic, and the drive-thru is too narrow in a town founded in 1870 is just a silly thing to say Tomas. I was a little nervous to go to this DQ based on recent reviews. We went in at 9pm on Valentines Day after getting into town and staying at the hotel next door. I ordered cheese curds and ice cream and my partner ordered chicken tenders and a blizzard. The staff were super nice. From the time we ordered until we got the whole order was 25 minutes in the drive thru. The "hot" fudge sundae had cold "fudge" on it. I think the fudge was cone dip and not actual fudge. The Mountain Dew tasted like water. The fries were cold, limp and were cooked in really old oil. The chicken strips and gravy were great. A group of 16 of us had scheduled an event across the street. We had been on the road for close to 4 hrs and before our event started we decided to stop in for a quick bite to go... The front doors were unlocked so we decided to go in to order versus the drive through line... Once we got inside we noticed all the lights were off and there was an un-lit cigarette sitting right on the corner counter close to the front door... I can only speculate that we were not expected to go inside but somebody must have left the door unlocked and was on their way out to smoke when we all came in.. They did not use the front registers (only the drive through one) which also indicated walkins were not planned. None of the 3 employees were wearing masks nor were they wearing any type of uniform, aprons or even clean looking clothes. One gentleman had on bulky headphones hanging around his neck. The other had shaggy 3 times his size dirty looking pants. We ordered 2 separate orders. While we stood there and waited we had observed between the 3 workers handling the food including the meat patties hot and frozen with bare hands but what was the final straw was when 1 of them took the back of his hand wiped his forehead and continued to make our food. We stopped them then and asked that they stop making the food we were not going to eat it with them handling everything bear handed and wiping their face. 1 guy had no problem showing his frustration that we decided we no longer want our order. The other guy wondered around like what to do now and we guided him that we wanted a refund. The 3rd guy continued to open the pretzel sticks and put them in the oven. We finally got our refunds and were disgusted as we went back to the cars. And we couldn't help but think the poor people in the drive-through have no idea what's going on, on the inside... We asked for lids and the guy said he didnt have any, mind you when we pulled in the lights were off. Our icecream was leaking everywhere so we asked nicely for a refund, and for the guys name so we could report to the manager he said "i dont have to give it to you" and told us to fuck off when we asked for our refund. We went inside and waiting around 20 minutes and didn't acknowledge us at all, every other person was getting assisted and was getting an apology for the service from the employees, however we did not receive an apology. It seems like this dairy queen is racist only prioritizing non ethnic minorities. Didn't have many orders on their screen but still managed to mess up a bunch of orders as well.
