I totally had forgotten about my negative review. I heard a rumor that they were under new ownership and the difference is like night and day! I love the energy of the staff - most are young and all act like they care. Unlike with the old owner, they are never closed when they are supposed to be open. The new owner/management is greatly appreciated. The only thing that I would love, would be if they were able to get a machine for chocolate and twists. I mean they're always slow and rude, but today they ruined my daughters bday. Some lazy kid who isn't being managed by anyone and has no accountability forgot to order my daughters cake. So when my wife went to picK it up, they tried to scramble to do it correctly and of course, they screwed it up. Of course the 2 kids working there, who have no guidance or supervision didn't care at all. They just shrugged their shoulders and my wife cried because she just wanted the birthday to go well. Look, whoever runs the DQ in this area: you have no clue what you're doing. You are not serving this area well, you are not providing a valuable service. After 15 years in the restaurant industry, I can safely say you should close your locatIons. They can't be making much money at all, especially with the horrible service and leaving young kids to be run themselves with integrity, your stores probably run at a loss constantly. Went today with my son as I was so happy to hear you've reopened under new leadership! Well, it was a disappointment. After paying, we waited 20 minutes for my son's medium Blizzard (we received a small, but I didn't say anything.) Another 5 minutes passed and I still hadn't received my sundae. I went to the counter and the girl told me the ice cream machine broke. (Was she just not going to tell me?!) They refunded my card and we left. During this time, the drive thru line barely moved (at least one truck drove away after waiting over 20 minutes), the folks at the table beside me got the wrong order twice, and another table got their order in three installments with about 5 minutes between each installment. Everybody in the country is understaffed, and I think most people are abundantly patient lately. Having said that, common courtesy of notifying your customers that there is (apparently) only one person making all of the orders, for in-store and drive thru, would have made a big difference - or at least given us an opportunity to decide whether we were willing to tolerate that kind of a wait. With all of the noise made about new management, I hoped you would have been prepared for anxious customers returning. This just seems like more of the same. Good luck. read more

This place has just came down hill so much, due to there employees, i feel they hired anyone. with that being said i went sunday night for 2 ice creams around 8pm & nobody was in there, i waited for about 7 minutes up front for my order to be taken, then once my order was taken nobody made my order they rang me up then went to the back and i heard employees giggling and laughing i sat down to wait & nobody was making my order 15 minutes went by & i went back upfront and someone new came up and said "hi how can i help you" and told them i've been waiting 15 minutes for 2 ice creams and then the guy says he forgot he'll be right on it. Pay no attention to the bad reviews. This place is under new management and has greatly improved. The days of long waits, dirty store and half eaten blizzards in the ice cream cake freezer are over now the service is nice and quick and the store is clean. Again, we should have trusted the reviews describing terrible service and owners who clearly couldn't care less about the lack of such their inattentive employees (and "manager") provide. While we were in line, we heard the disinterested and rude order-taker over the speaker which prompted the car ahead of us pull out of line - undoubtedly due to his rudeness. We approached the monitor and received the same "what do you want" and "what else...what else," abs finally, "drive forward." No kindness or concern, no "thank you." I hope they close. Facility is dirty. Floors are sticky, expect your shoes to stick. Chairs tables and booths were sticky and dirty, not cleaned after each use. I ordered a cake for my daughters 13th birthday on 1/22/20 to be picked up I kn 1/24/20 by noon. I arrived at 12:15 for pick up today and wAs told they were writing on it now. I know he was here when I got here because the woman up front told him I was. Also come to find out the manager is the one who wrote on the cake. This DQ is the ABSOLUTE WORST I HAVE EVER BEEN TO. We will NEVER come back- ** hey DQ corporate- I did send you a direct email and your response was that you were contacting the independent franchise owner. Also the final result was me waiting 50 minutes for the manager to come back with a woman and they both just avoided eye contact and walked behind the counter. When we arrived 10 minutes before they closed, no one would come to the window and we called while there to explain that we just spoke to them and they said they were open and she told us she was coming over to the window to take our order and turned off all of the lights as soon as she hung up. I've lived in Bluffton a couple of years now, and every time I've left that place I think, "maybe they're just having a really bad day" or "is it just me, or did that take a REALLY long time?" Just got an order, that once again, took forever to get. I took a bite of the cheeseburger, and it was soggy, cooked maybe to a medium rare (cheese hadn't even melted), and the vegetables looked like they scraped it off of the bottom of the old batch.
