Every single time I come in this place the owner is rude and standoffish towards me and I have no idea why. He will look me right in the face and refuse to even give me a simple greeting. I vowed I would never return to this place and wouldn't give him another dollar of my money, but I had my nephew with me and he really wanted Dairy Queen. I tried to give it one more chance and hoped for better, but nope the same rude energy. It is odd because I have seen him interact with other customers and he does not give me that same vibe. He smiles and is personable with them, but then his smile turns upside down when he gets to me. I have never done anything and am always kind when I enter the place so I am not sure what it is. Got a couple of small blitz smoothies to go but I wished I read their was a kids size because it would have been perfect for me! I got their caramel toffee while my friend got their chocolate with chocolate brownie bites. Both were sweet and good but mine unfortunately melted even before we walked them out to the car. Service sucked. I was ignored by the staff and not assisted prior to the 15 minutes running out on my app redemption. I offered the code but the worker either refused to use it or did not know how to do so. He wanted me to scan the barcode but I was unable to access it. My offer expired and no one came back to assist me so I left the restaurant and they don't have to worry about servicing me again. My friends and I walked to this Dairy Queen after dinner in Decatur Square and it did not disappoint! For starters, it was a very clean and tidy location with both outdoor and indoor seating. The service was very prompt and the cashier (the receipt says Rasul so I'm going to assume it was Rasul) was very polite! You can tell he likes his job by the way he performed the infamous Blizzard flip trick, which was a welcomed experience after years of having employees barely do it/care about it at other locations I've been to in the past. I was honestly put off guard by the fact that he did it because it's been so long since I've experienced a good, memorable, Blizzard flip moment! I ordered the S'mores blizzard and I don't know if it was because it had been a while since I had a Blizzard, but it was really, really good and made me regret all the subpar soft serve I've been getting at gas stations just because I didn't know this location existed. If you're looking to visit, it's a short walk from the main Decatur square restaurants and there's also 30 minutes of free parking next to the Dairy Queen if you're looking to pop in and out! Even when a line formed after we got our ice cream, the service seemed to stay prompt. Overall this was a great experience and I will definitely be visiting this Dairy Queen again if a Blizzard craving hits! read more

Overall not the best experience, the staff isn't very welcoming or friendly at all. Went in bc I wanted some cheese curds and this location seems to only care about $$$. Came in with a friend. When I got my food I asked for a ranch with my cheese curds and the guy just pointed at a small sign saying "59cents" so rude and seems unnecessary since I just paid $4 for a side. Also he charged my friend $2 for a medium drink and then turned the soda machines off after he got his drink so he couldn't even refill it. This place was not customer oriented at all and didn't make us feel welcome at all. Will never come back, way too many other better food options in Atlanta. I wanted an icey treat and knew DQ was the place. I walked in and ordered one of the new flavors - Frosted Animal Cookie! Then, I saw they had pretzels with zesty queso and knew I had to try those. The cashier was great! He tried to flip over my blizzard. I of course freaked out thinking oh no, he spilled it! But he didn't. He brightened up my night and I would definitely come to this DQ again. We stopped here to get a change from the routine of Chick Fil A and other regular visits. We wanted something different. And this is the place to get it. The menu has just about everything you could want. We had the BBQ sandwiches and onion rings. And we topped it off with a chocolate ice cream in a cup. The BBQ sandwich was very fresh and tasty. Two were very filling. It was so hot that I had to wait a few minutes to eat it. The onion rings were very crispy and cooked to order. The ice cream was in a cup so I could wait after my meal to eat it. Parking is in the garage next door. It's us feee parking for 30 minutes. Most of this business is probably walk up service to eat. Social distancing is practiced as well as the employees wearing masks. To enter this business you must wear a mask. The establishment is very clean and I will certainly return. read more

Went for Free Ice Cream Cone Day, and visited the location in Decatur, GA on Trinity Place and for the SECOND year in a row, the owner "claimed" to be out of cones. When asked if he could put the ice cream in a cup, he said, "No" with no attempt to accommodate myself, or any of the other customers. I heard one of the customers say, "I feel like he's lying." I felt the same way because not only did he do the same thing last year, but the restaurant was packed for the free cones and the wait was long. Most people chose to buy something due to the time waited in line, which is what he wanted. I beleive he had cones, and said he didn't so that he could capitalize on the traffic. There's a common misconception when others find out that I have a very active lifestyle they also assume that I pair it with a "clean" diet. LOL My first visit here was purely because of the convenience that I could quite literally go downstairs, and I was already hangry after a long day, so I definitely didn't want to deal with driving anywhere because apparently they give anyone drivers licenses nowadays. Located on the bottom level of the Arlo apartments, and there's paid parking available around the area, but you can get 30 mins of free parking if you're just stopping by DQ (there's signage with directions in front of the parking kiosk and in front of their entrance). I wasn't expecting much, but to my surprise the fries were extremely fresh and so were the veggies on my burger! I'm never disappointed when I grab a bite to eat here because they're always quick, and I know my food is going to be served fresh. The customer service is phenomenal, and the owners definitely make the effort into ensuring that the establishment stays well kept and clean. Everyone has always been extremely friendly, and it's just not the usual stank fast food attitude you get when you just want something quick to eat which is awesome because usually if I am so hungry that I need something fast to eat I'm already on like level 2 of hangry. Not having someone give me a stank attitude for no reason while I'm trying to calm my hanger has been good for my soul LOL. I know many will think it's just a dairy queen, but I think they do a little extra here to ensure they stand out a bit more than the others in my opinion. I love this Dairy Queen. I have only been to it a couple times, but I absolutely love it. The people who work there are so nice . They are also enforcing COVID-19 guide lines. Nobody is allowed to eat inside which I think is great. It is also one of the few Dairy Queens I have gone to that has a cotton candy blizzard. I would 10/10 recommend. Honestly, there is very little difference between the food served at any of the Dairy Queen's. Where you will see a difference is in the cleanliness and the service. This place is spotless...and the owners are very friendly. So...five stars from me! This Dairy Queen is on the bottom floor of a multi story apartment building (The Arlo) facing the street. Free thirty minute parking is available in the apartment garage (entrance next to the Dairy Queen). You must still get a parking ticket from the dispenser machine, but there is no charge if you stay less than thirty minutes. read more
