Short: Left me with a sour taste in my mouth - unfortunately due to employees who don't care that they make you feel like an inconvenience and a melted blizzard. visited the last week of July '23 [Intro] It was the only fast food joint I have seen in miles, and I usually have a sweet spot for Dairy Queen. I arrived around 7:30pm. Just because your establishment is the one in miles, doesn't give you the right to be unprofessional and rude. [Customer Service = RUDE & LONG WAIT] I entered and stood a good amount away from the register to glance at the menu. It is different from the ones I know, so be careful of the combo numbers. I stood there for less than 2 mins, to then have the girl at the register dart her eyes at me, saying in a short, quick, and rude overtone of "Are you ready to order?" with a thick Spanish accent [the accent I didn't mind - the rude attitude did]. I said I needed another moment to look. She said, "are you ready? just say the numbers" pointing at the menu behind her. I hesitantly went towards the register asking for a double cheeseburger, but more loudly and short, she said, "What's the combo number?" She made me feel really terrible that I took a moment to order. She didn't even ask if I wanted it to go or eat in. I'll cut to the chase, the employee at the register was very rude, impatient, and made me feel like a major inconvenience. After I ordered, she made my blizzard immediately; I asked for it when my food arrived. She then spoke in Spanish with all the other employees. Besides the rude attitude and feeling like an inconvenience, what bothered me is that she continuously was **COUGHING** as she made blizzards! Gross! Where is her food handler card?! I watched her the whole time - she never washed her hands in the 25 mins I was waiting for my food. By the way, at this point, I was half way into my melted blizzard. The other employee at the register was on his smartphone the whole time! The same employee didn't honor the blizzard policy with me but proceeded to do it for another customer. A different employee got my burgers on a tray to eat in, I asked for it to go. I told that to this other employee. She then gave me this fake nice tone, but her face was written with "wow that's ANNOYING" all over it. [Food] 2 Double cheeseburgers, small fries, and a small blizzard = 25 min wait.. Cheeseburgers looked like someone just threw them in a box. Blizzard was practically melted when handed to me - the employee did NOT honor blizzard policy - but did the policy (blizzard being upside down) for others. [Interior]If you have the opportunity to wait to order or for your order, there is a TV featuring documentaries about the locals and the area. The establishment has western historical pictures framed on the walls and a beautiful fireplace. [Overall] I am sad to say I will probably NEVER come back! This was the worst dairy queen customer experience and quality I have ever had in my life! read more

We were looking for a quick bite to eat before heading to the airport and ended up at Dairy Queen. I have fond memories of eating hot dogs at my local DQ as a kid, so this nostalgia may have swayed me a bit. I get that it's not everyone's first choice for food, and it's definitely not gourmet. But, it was hot, fast, and cheap, which was nice after a week of vacation aka going out to eat for every meal! I got the hot dog combo and Nate got a chicken tender basket. The fries were fresh and my hot dog was tasty. The bun seemed lightly steamed and wasn't stale at all. The dining area is huge and was very clean. The chicken tender basket came with a big cup of steaming hot gravy, which we both thought was kind of weird, but we weren't mad. If you want a more typical sauce just be sure to ask. The employee taking our order was polite and efficient. It's not going to be a regular stop for me while I'm in town, but it did the trick for us on this occasion. read more

Our family ordered dinner on Monday 6/16 and ate in the store. There were 6 of us and we ordered a blizzard, kids cheeseburger meal, chicken strip basket, fish sandwich, milkshake, onion rings, cheese curds, and two different burgers. We recently went to Dairy Queen in Jackson, Wyoming while on vacation. This was the nicest looking and cleanest Dairy Queen we had ever been in. I couldn't get my wife to leave due to the film playing on the several TVs showing the wildlife (animals) in Yellowstone Park. We purchased peanut buster parfait and a banana split on both occasions we visited. The desserts were consistent or better than other we had in the past at different occasions. Very little line and great customer service. While eating we observed an employee cleaning the restaurant area which is sometimes neglected in a fast food restaurant. There where other ice cream stands available in Jackson some with hugh lines but we preferred to save all money and not buy the $8.00 cones and avoid the lines and eat at the Dairy Queen and were glad we did. read more

Ordered drive through. No one else was in line or in the restaurant. At drive through I asked if they had chicken strips and the associate said "yes, it's in the board and if you look at the board you can see that we have that". She than argued about how many chicken strips I could order. Went to pay and they wouldn't accept a bill with a 1/4 inch tear in it. Burger #68: Long Long Ago... A few years ago on tour we played Jackson Hole, WY. Arguably the most beautiful part of the country. Jackson is also home to the nicest DQ ever constructed. Overlooking beautiful scenic landscapes and built in true mountain fashion, with lots of logs and stones. At that stage in my life, eating gourmet food was never a thought. Back then, I would eat anything TV told me to. And this month, TV was preaching the greatness of the 1/2 lb Flamethrower Grill Burger at Dairy Queen. "Two thick, juicy 1/4 lb. burgers, smothered in a fiery Tabasco flavored mayo with pepper jack cheese, jalapeno bacon, thick-cut tomato, and green leaf lettuce. Served on a toasted bun." Sounded good to me at the time. I ordered it, I ate it and then my stomach turned inside out and an alien burst through my chest. Well not really but that's how I felt for the rest of the day. The burger was nothing special, just another crappy fast food burger. But it killed me. My iron stomach was no match for this batch of acid. Went to drive thru today. Worst drive thru customer service I have ever experience in my life. I said on the speaker to hold on as my kid was making up his mind on his order. It has been roughly 25 years since I went to a Dairy Queen and I knew the menu better than him. It was brutal...so much so than I started getting nervous like John Quinones was going to pop out of the back. Really, I started fake smiling like everything was great. Nothing they did made sense. I told them multiple times that my order was to go. It took them roughly 15 minutes to produce 2 chicken tenders for my child's kid's meal...but Anderson decided to make the Dip Cone and bring out the Dilly Bar about a minute in to the wait. I stood there with ice cream running down my knuckles with this crazy Joker smile on my face while Anderson stood behind the counter smiling back at me. I had no issues on an off-season visit. The food was hot, good, and didn't make me sick. Service was quick, but it wouldn't be during the main tourist seasons, as they were definitely lackadaisical. The drive through is cramped and abuts the river, so watch out. read more
