Delicious food, with great service, and awesome portions! The ambiance feels like you're in an old 1900's home. Super warm and cozy. Highly recommend to anyone!

Traditional, rustic restaurant with good breakfast options. I had the corned beef with eggs over easy, which was good. Sadly, the cold toast didn't arrive until I was done with my meal. Outside of that, service was good and friendly. It's a nice option for warm meals.

It started off not bad we went on a Tuesday around 10 am and had to wait 10 min which I really don't mind. We got seated and got drinks right away that's a plus. But when it came to our server JACKIE.....I really did not enjoy her service at all. When she was taking our order it felt like I was in the military. Very fast and harsh. We waited very long for our food to the point where people after us were getting their food and a couple that was seated no more than 5 min before us were damn near done with there food while my friend and I were still waiting. You might be asking what we ordered. We got full order of biscuits and gravy and I got huevos rancheros. Nothing super crazy in my opinion idk. And we finally got our food after 30 min and it was good. The food was good overall. We wanted to get a cinnamon roll to go and we had asked Jackie when we first ordered but she was persistent that we order it at the end of our meal. After we finished our food we really had to leave and we wanted a to go box and still no Jackie in sight. We had to ask a busser for the box. Then AGAIN WE WERE WAITING FOR BILL and eventually we were just fed up and went to the front to pay. We just wanted to pay and leave at this point but that's when Jackie said that she has our cinnamon roll?! And she MADE us pay for it even tho we never ordered it at the end like she said cus SHE NEVER CAME BACK TO CHECK ON US. We said we didn't want to anymore and she said "well we made it already u have to pay for it". My friend just paid for it cus we NEED TO GO but I'm furious. Idk if it cus I very much look Hispanic and not from Wyoming, But I hope not concerning there's plenty of Hispanics that work there. Idk I just really hated the service after the first 15 min I was there. I work in retail in a big city so ik how stressful this can be but still, it wasn't okay. Good food tho I guess. SIDE NOTE: I found a brush hair or something in the roll -_-

Delicious breakfast spot in Jackson. It gets pretty busy so get up early! The staff was nice and quick. It's a cozy environment. It definitely reminds me of southern comfort breakfast. I got the Huevos Rancheros and it was delicious. I didn't even have to add hot sauce to it, that's how good it was. My friend got the chicken fried steak and thought it was okay. It's a little dry. We also got the biscuit and gravy and the sausage and gravy was good, but the biscuit wasn't the greatest. This is an overall good spot for breakfast l.

We were on the prowl for some great breakfast, and The Virginian delivered ten fold. If you're a fan of pancakes you absolutely have to order them here. They were so fluffy and had the perfect chew to them. The hashbrowns also hit the spot. Chill vibes and friendly service coupled with fantastic food is always a winner. If I'm ever back in the area I will definitely be returning.

The name is disguised as "an entry point with a first number") tour starting at Mt. Rushmore with multiple stops in between ending at the Grand Tetons. This was our final ending meal together. First, I know the management prepared for us. We had to select the entrees a couple of days before. Second, we were seated next to the circular wall towards the street, very accommodating. Noise factor was good to excellent because of the high ceilings (the industrial look you know with exposed duct work now popular.) Third, finally the food what you really want to know... All of us had the house salad. It was lightly dressed which I appreciated since some restaurants over dress or use a harsh vinaigrette. I had their beef steaks which the tour written description was a fillet, restaurant menu list as a ribeye. I 'm not going to complain because it was accurately seared. I asked for mine medium and another asked for medium well. Both were slightly under which was good. Presentation was excellent they did change from sweet potatoes to a couscous ( I think) which was a good switch and tasty. My spouse had the rainbow trout and it was amazing! It a good size, as again presentation was great! Tasted good too! Not dry. Another person had the truffle pasta and there was a poached egg on top. What a surprise! They said it tasted good! If you want someone on the other menu section of yelp list just what was offered to us with a detailed description. The dessert was their donut holes (very crispy and tasty) with three dipping sauces. We had soft drinks and there was a double pour. Every thing came out in a timely manner! Amazing again for such a large group. Check'm out, they're good!

With so many strong restaurants in Jackson, this one didn't stand out as one we would revisit…read more Our server was lovely--friendly, attentive, and clearly doing their best. Unfortunately, the bar was painfully slow. Our first round of drinks took about 15 minutes, and the second took closer to 30 minutes after ordering. We eventually had to check in to make sure they were even coming. The food was fine, but not something we'd come back for. The elk pasta lacked the depth and richness you expect from a bolognese. The trout--poblano stuffed and curry-prepared--was an interesting idea, but the curry completely overpowered the fish, making the dish feel unbalanced. We had curry-dusted trout at The Blue Lion earlier in the week that was far better. (One of the best trout meals I've ever had.)

The weather was low 80's and they had the windows open. It was a great spot to people watch and keep an eye on a storm that was rolling in. I ordered a cold beer - Blue Moon. It was served cold with in the bottle so no orange slice for me. I am sure they would have a served it in a glass had I requested it. They were busy. The young man (host) was not at his station when I arrived, but shortly arrived and asked me how many seats I needed. He was attentive and agreed with me when I suggested the window seat. He chatted briefly about the storm rolling in. When my waiter arrived I knew what I wanted. After reading some reviews on here, I decided to order the crunchy salad with chicken. Beer: no complaints Salad: YES, YES, YES I know that it's not typical to go to a burger place and order a salad BUT let me tell you. The reviews are right! I will have another salad here before I leave Jackson for SURE! ANKA - she is the BEST! We ordered the pastrami Reuben with fries and ended up splitting it between the two of us. It was absolutely delicious and VERY hearty. The portions here are definitely generous, and one meal was plenty for two people for us. One thing that really stood out was how creative the food seems to be. This doesn't feel like a restaurant simply following the standard pub menu. Several of the dishes sounded like things they've experimented with, developed, and really made their own. There seems to be a lot of creativity and personality behind the menu. The sauce served with our Reuben was especially good. It reminded me of a cross between Thousand Island and a Big Mac-style sauce, but with its own flavor. Whatever it was, it was top-notch and went perfectly with the sandwich. The atmosphere is definitely that of a true bar/pub. We aren't drinkers, and alcohol is obviously a major focus here, from the decor to the overall feel of the restaurant. If you're not a drinker, you may feel a little out of place in the main bar area, so that is something to know going in. That being said, they do have a separate side dining room away from the main bar area, as well as a patio that looked like it would be a wonderful place to sit, eat, and enjoy the beautiful Wyoming scenery. The building itself is definitely older and a little worn down. It appeared clean on the surface, but you can tell the restaurant has seen a lot of use over the years and could probably benefit from some updating and a little extra attention in certain areas. At the same time, the rustic, well-used feel does fit the personality of a longtime local pub. Our one meal came to $25.68, so it is certainly on the pricier side for a sandwich and fries. However, this is Jackson Hole, and higher prices are somewhat expected in a tourist town. Considering how large the portions were, the price was a little easier to justify. Overall, The Bird is a fun, quirky, very casual place with huge portions and some surprisingly creative food. The pastrami Reuben was delicious, the sauce was fantastic, and I would definitely order it again.
