Huge bummer that this Dairy Queen is drive-through only, because the food is incredible! For a fast food restaurant, this is top tier because of the quality of their product. The cheeseburger is a great size and well put together, unlike most McDonald's or other chains where they seem to smash the burger into a wrapper with little care in the world. The DQ blizzard is also amazing. I always get the Heath bar Blizzard for the nice crunch. This place doesn't do the DQ flip (where they flip the blizzard icecream shake upside down to show you how thick it is - otherwise you get a free blizzard). The service is horrible. The cashier barely speaks, the cashier mumbles and the cashier had a very bad attitude. They were rolling their eyes when we went to claim our ice cream. Also, the "meal deal" cheeseburger combo is a HUGE scam. They have two different ''meal deals". You apparently have to 'specify' the order. For example my friends and I went to order 5 ''meal deals' but after receiving our cheeseburgers . We later went up to the cashier for our ice cream that was included with the meal deals . But the cashier told us we had to "specify" the specific meal earlier. We clearly said "5 Cheeseburger meal deals" and pointed at where it was at on the menu. We tried calling after leaving and they hung . Also, the cashier never offered or gave us our receipt. This service is truly horrible and we will not be coming back again. I ordered a Sunday and when I received it it had the wrong kind of ice cream in it. I had asked for vanilla and they gave me chocolate. I sent it back and they made it again and still it was incorrect. I sent it back another time and this time the manager took the Sunday from me and she rolled her eyes at me. She made a sundae for me a third time and it was still incorrect but I ate it because I did not want to have to deal with her again. Every worker in there was very professional and friendly except for the manager. She is a very angry woman. I mean really. It's an ice cream place. Be friendly to the customers at the very least. As of 5/10/2020, only drive-thru is open. If you order ahead through the mobile app, you still have to get in line to go through the drive-thru. Drive thru can wrap around the building and out onto Route 126 about 8 cars coming from the south towards Framingham. Wish they had curbside, but I called and confirmed and they said drive-thru only even for ordering ahead via the app. Natick/Wayland DQ has much smaller menu but they do ya ave a drive-thru and outdoor walkup window. I Love the bacon cheeseburgers here. I just do. They put them out fast and cheap and delicious! The store is clean and the employees seem well trained and helpful generally. They've literally given me raw chicken, it was breaded and I was eating it when I noticed it was chewy and when I pulled it apart it was pink and wet. Immediately went home and threw up, and just now they messed up my order and gave me the wrong kind of blizzard. This is one of the few dairy queens in the area that's open in the winter. I didn't actually go into the restaurant and just used the drive through. There were no other customers so service was super fast. I think it took a total of 3 minutes to pay for the blizzard and receive it. I ordered the birthday cake Oreo blizzard of the month. It was my first time eating it so I can't compare it to other locations. The quality was thick and full of birthday cake frosting. It could've used a bit more Oreos though. This is your standard Dairy Queen restaurant. Nothing special but the blizzard hit the spot. read more

Even in a franchise with plenty of pearls, this Dairy Queen is a crown jewel. We've been in Framingham since March and this location has been a mainstay in our COVID-19 lifestyle. It has always felt safe and clean. The staff is friendly and attentive. The drive-thru is fast, even on hectic summer nights when the line goes out onto the road. The food is Dairy Queen food. You're not going to write home about any of it, but it's great for what it is. Everything at this location has always been prepared well and the staff is exceptional about putting up with weird custom requests for Blizzards. If you've been to a DQ before you know what to expect, and this is a good one. If you haven't, go now, and get yourself a Blizzard. What are you waiting for?! Ashland wasn't ever a place that was really ever an attraction of "need-to-go-to" spot in my life.... but once I found how much closer it was than I previously thought (I thought it was beyond Framingham), and finding out about this brand new Dairy Queen that had just opened, I had to make a trek to see what all the fuss was about. And for the record, this is the newest DQ that's awesome around. Now, being that since some of my regular DQ locations are old, rusted, or horrible, the one in Milford was a real wow when I discovered it a few years ago, and even though I really do like the design of this one, it still doesn't have the amount of outdoor seating or layout as the Milford one. Plus, even though it may be entertaining to watch, the few outside seating tables they do have are right next to the paintball place behind here..... I really do not want to get hit with a paintball while eating ice cream! Anyway, the service here (at the drive thru and inside) is always spectacular, and even with a line, they move fast and accurately. They are also priced lower than some of the other DQ locations around (not really sure why.... must be a franchising thing), and are open all year round. One of the main reasons I visit Ashland, and one of the best things about it. 5 stars for this DQ! read more

This place has gotten really dirty on the inside. Containers for some of your ice cream and sundaes are stored with the opening facing up- which is a serious issue. Kids making ice cream stuff placing their dirty fingers inside of containers to release them The guy cooking burgers was not wearing any gloves and kept rubbing his face and head as it was hot inside. You want to know how you get norovirus and other GI issues- go here and give it a shot. I received no receipt so I could not take a survey. Only use the drive through if you hate convenience. First off I ordered two single topping medium blizzards, shouldn't be that hard to get "peanut butter cup" correctly as it sounds nothing like the word "smores" but to my surprise I received both on my blizzards. Had to send those back, but only after being charged for the additional toppings which I did not order. Flash forward, correct order finally in hand...with no caps or tray to hold them. The point of a drive through is that I will taking my order and going somewhere else with it. Unless you have additional hands to both drive and hold your order, a million empty cupholders, or additional people in your car I'd suggest really emphasizing the fact that you'd like caps and a tray, because they probably won't ask you. Finally got some caps put on and don't worry if you have to put them on the floor or your seat, I was assured by the teenage cashier that if they tipped over they wouldn't spill. read more

I held off on going to this place. I knew it was going to be a zoo at first. I was pleased. I ordered and was served in no time at all. Everything was fast and correct. I used the drive thru. I am a veteran of the old Ashland Place off 135 and so it is extremely nice to be able to go to the drive thru. I also parked to eat in the car and it was a very nice view (all forest except for the paintball place on one side). Finally I got wi fi service even parked outside and used it to update my phone while I was enjoying my ice cream. Really disappointed. My first experience at this place I went thru the drive thru to order a sundae with my cousin. We got a plain ice cream no hot fudge no whip cream. Gave it back. They gave us a sundae with less ice cream barely made it past the half way point of the cup. My second experience we went inside. Ordered food. My brother had a wrap. Took the first bite. The second bite he bite into an entire ranch dressing wrapper and almost choked! I told the owner showed him the wrap with the wrapper and he didn't do anything! Went on a Sunday afternoon. Even the parking lot was a horror show, but not unexpected since the place had been open for about three weeks at that point. Walked in with my wife and 1 year old son (I was the only one ordering anything), and stood in line. The line is clearly marked with two rows of retractable belts snaking up to the registers. As I waited in line (I was next...or so I thought), I noticed across the two open registers were four people. One person in front of each register and two more people off to the right. I presumed they had already ordered and were waiting for their food. Lo and behold, when one of the people in front of the registers finished up, that person walked back through retractable barriers, and the cashier started to help one of the two people off to the right. In other words, essentially the line was moving backwards. I left my place in the retractable belt area and stood off to the right of the registers, slightly annoyed by the disorganization. Then, four more people walked in and waited in the retractable belt area...and wouldn't you know the line started moving forward again. Really annoyed at this point, I took my place back in the proper line...now fifth. I'm not entirely blaming the restaurant for what transpired thus far. In fact this was more my fault. I should have waited a bit longer or said something. I only mention this to say that by this point I was pretty miffed. While I waited, the two cashiers EACH required a manager to intervene and help them with their respective transaction. Apparently asking for extra toppings or something stumped these people. There was a lot more conversation than necessary between customer and employee as far as DQ ordering goes, a lot of staring blankly at the register, and finally tiptoeing away to retrieve someone who knew how to process the transaction. This happened TWICE. It took about eight to nine minutes to finally flank a register. Finally I was up. I ordered my Blizzard. I expected to pay and receive my Blizzard and be mercifully done with the transaction. No no. I ordered, and what I actually received was a placard with a number on it. I had assumed only people ordering hot food got the number. Not so...I got a number. You get a number. EVERYBODY gets a number. Now, as my midsection indicates, I'm no stranger to Dairy Queens. I know darn well how long it takes to make a Blizzard. Approximately two minutes, start to finish. This wasn't a line out the door situation (just a line moving slow situation). At this point, I took my number and waited. Now a word about the waiting in this establishment: there's no place to do it. No matter where you stand, you're in the way. It's pretty nerve wracking. I ended up getting close and personal with a trash receptacle. It was the only place I didn't feel like I was hampering foot traffic. Anyway I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Higher numbers started getting their food and ice cream. Of course. After fifteen minutes of waiting I flagged down someone and inquired as to the whereabouts of my Blizzard. She went back spoke with someone and said my Blizzard would be out shortly. Two minutes later it was. The Blizzard was an Oreo cookie Blizzard. It was supposed to have crumbled bits of Oreo cookie in it. What it actually had has tiny specks which I presume to be a thimble full of Oreo dust mixed in. Also, the Blizzard, right out of the kitchen, was VERY melty. I should have asked the girl to serve it to me upside down, because had she done so there would have been a big glop of Blizzard on the floor, but I knew if I asked she'd just stare at me blankly (see cash register stare above) having no idea what I'm talking about. I ate the Blizzard and left. Start to finish, 45 minutes. I really REALLY miss the Chestnut street location. For those of us on the 'other side of the tracks' in Ashland, Pond Street is another world away. I'm sure this place will eventually get its act together, but I advise to steer clear this season. read more

This used to be a dairy queen I would go to frequently. That is until recently I was harassed by a manager there and treated with such disrespect that I would never go back. The manager ripped my phone out of my hands without asking while I was in the drive thru. I reached out to corporate 3 times before the owner of the franchise even called me, they said. I told him my complaint and he essentially just sided with the disgruntled manager and said we would like to keep you Coming back. I'm a Dairy Queen fan from the 50's and 60's in Minnesota where there are more Dairy Queens than in any other state. This store is inconsistent when making a large cone. One time they get it right but most times they come up short and sometimes very short. Today when I finally told server that it wasn't a large cone, she argued with me and said it was. I told her it didn't come close to measuring up the the example they show at the register. She said, well that's the large. Thanks for nothing. The store in Natick has always been great. Also I ordered a 6pc chicken strip (there was only 5 chicken fingers someone failed kindergarten ;)..) Also there was no toast an that's my favorite part . I will never go back. I would have thought at 8pm on a Sunday the lines would have been shorter. Not only did the drive thru take over 20 minutes to order they were out of cookie dough which was what I had wanted to order. I contemplated leaving the line and just going home many times.
