I was surprised to see that this Dairy Queen has low reviews on Yelp. We had a 4-star experience here recently.I t was a 90+ degree hot weekend, so I decided to walk in and order since the drive-thru line was wrapped all the way into the parking lot. I was warmly greeted and welcomed upon entering the cashier area. The cashier said the app scanning wasn't working so she had to manually enter in the deal we were redeeming. I'll be honest, I was worried our two Blizzards would take a while given how long the line was outside. To our surprise, our two Blizzards were ready within a minute of ordering!! Thank you DQ! They were shown to us upside-down and then placed gently on the ordering counter. As I walked out, the car at the end of the line had only moved 2 spaces...so glad I walked in to order. This DQ is located off of 80 across the street from the Outlets so it's a convenient location. read more

I had craving for a blizzard, so my son and I came in on a Sunday afternoon for a quick lunch and blizzard. This location right off I-80 freeway off Davis Street in Vacaville. They have a drive-thru, so you have the option of dining in or go through the drive-thru if you are on the go. They have both indoor and outdoor dining areas with ample parking. I got the Epic Deal ($7) which included a burger (or chicken strips), fries, fountain drink and sundae (upgrade to blizzard for $2 more). I upgraded to the blizzard (Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough). My son got the Double Cheese Deluxe Stackburger, small Onion Ring and small Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough blizzard. My son said the burgers are very similar to McDonald's burgers in taste and size. I remember when I was a kid, DQ burgers were much better, but the quality sure has gone down for the cost. The fries were decent as were the onion rings (a little pricy for small onion rings). The blizzards were good. Employees were all very nice and attentive. Our order came out in a timely manner, but I was a little disappointed that the blizzard came out before the main meal, so I was 1/2 done with the blizzard by the time the main meal came out. I wish there was a way to postpone the blizzard until I was closer to finishing the main meal, so the blizzard was not 1/2 melted by the time I finished my meal. Overall for the price and lack of quality of the food items, I would probably only come back for the blizzards only. read more

The inside of this location smells like raw sewage. I'm not sure what it is. Whether it's a leaky sewer pipe or a backed up septic system, but I've been here two times now and both times I walk into the restaurant I have noticed the smell of sewage. Very unappetizing. read more

Great shakes and burgers, as advertised! I had never had the "flip" of a shake and the gal at drive-through did it to our shake! I was very impressed! The burgers were made fresh and my daughter enjoyed the strawberry shake. It was creamy and extremely sweet! Portions were more than generous. We visited on a hot day and this cooled us down. I've been craving a chocolate vanilla swirl ice cream cone for months and everytime I come to this establishment to fulfill my cravings they are conveniently out of chocolate ice cream. Now this has happened 3 times in a row so at this point I'm pretty sure the store is just being lazy. They say they're cleaning the machine however I've come at different times between day and night. service was I got a blizzard and a shake with my cousin and I had a code for free fries, I thought I told her at the window not the speaker and when I told her she was rude and said "so you want a free fry" with attitude. I tha apologized for not telling her at the speaker and she didn't say anything just closed the window on me. I asked if I couldn split the payment so my cousin could pay for hers and I could pay for mine and she goes "I can't do that" after making me wait for 5 minutes. Not sure why this DQ has such poor reviews, we always have a good experience here. We popped in today right as they opened and the staff were super nice and helpful. A summer blizzard hits different at 1030am. I got a strawberry cheesecake dipped blizzard and it is delicious. We also got a chicken strip basket and a brownie blizzard. Delish. Lots of great cakes and illy bars available for sale. They have a drive thru and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Come on in for a sweet treat. read more

Ordered a small Blizzard via the drive thru. It was ice cream with Reese's peanut butter cup (chips). It tasted really good however the price was $7.02 for a cup less than half the size of a 16 oz water bottle. Although it was good it was not a good value. I was shocked at the price. When the lady handed it to me I reiterated my surprise at how expensive a small ice cream was. Thinking out loud I added, "the cup isn't even full." The cashier said she could add a little more. She didn't return with my purchase but her shift lead (I guess) did, and before handing me the cup he admonished me by saying what she had given me was the appropriate amount but added that he added a little more. I just got back from an most unfortunate meal at Dairy Queen. Please note that this server was very pleasant and helpful. And I believe my comments do not apply specifically to this restaurant, but at all Dairy Queen's. We ordered a deluxe burger, which had three patties. I would hesitate to call these beef patties. They were brown. Attached photo will show the textures. I took two of the patties off and will throw them away. I ate the other one with the bun and toppings. The onion and tomato were the best part of the entire meal. I also ordered a large chocolate malt. I requested extra malt. What I received was a chocolate shake, which did not have a very pleasant ice cream flavor. Certainly will be my last trip ever in my life to a Dairy Queen. read more

Free cone day con! Mind you, I don't go to this dairy queen because the 1st and last time I went 10 years ago, me and my friend were on the toilet after we ate the food. It's our running joke everything we drive past. Anywhere, I decided to take my 3 kids for free cone day since it was posted all over fb. I even went to their website and downloaded the app to see if there was a catch. Everything said just show up to get your free cone. We get there , stand in line for 12ish minutes just to be surprised with there is a $1 min purchase for each cone. I asked where was that written. He said there were two signs, one in the front and one on the outside window. He kept suggesting i go outside to look. Guess he just wanted me out of his line. I looked at the one closer to the counter and had to hunt in the very fine print that says must min $1 purchase. I don't like to be bamboozled so I left and took my kids to Costco and bought them each $2 ice cream. The person behind me was unaware also and she also left without buying. The worker should have suggested a small sale instead of pointing me outside of the door to read the fine print. Obviously I don't mind spending money, but i definitely don't like surprises and workers with poor attitudes. read more

I haven't eaten DQ in years. I stopped by on the way on the way home Friday evening to pick up something for dinner. I prefer my food in the drive thru. There was only one car ahead of me. I kept my order simple: the original chicken sandwich meal (one of their $7 meals) which includes French fries and a soda. The staff were friendly, service was a bit slow. I didn't eat my food until I got home. The fries were salty, the chicken sandwich wasn't spicy (I ordered it spicy), and they forgot to give me honey mustard sauce that o requested. I was very underwhelmed with my experience at DQ. I really should have followed my gut (LOL) and went to Sonic across the street. I think I would come back only for a blizzard. If they mess that up, then, there's no hope for them. LOL. It'll be a long while before I return. read more

NOPE!! Never again! We should have kept passing by this place as usual. It was a reason why we never went here in the firs place. Service and ordering taking was ok. The only good thing that happened was, we got our food in a good timeframe. 1 for that. Now the food We ordered around 1pm the 6pc chicken tenders that comes with fries, and gravy. Also, decided to get some onion rings. The circles(onion rings) are the worst tasting onion rings that I have ever tasted from any eating establishment from the 37 States that I have traveled to. It was like eating stale, plastic rings. The taste was similar to and old box of cereal or chips that have some how smell and tasted like the packing material. The onions were not fresh at all. The fries were cold and hard. It was as if the frozen fries were microwaved for 12 seconds. Mushy insides and had a concave shape to them. Worst experience ever. I'm greeted "order when your ready" so I ordered and the whole staff is laughing through the mic while the young boy attempts to take my order. I go to pay window and ask for them to repeat my order because I knew he didn't hear me. The young girl goes "yeah it's hella ghetto in here" and laughs at me wanted a repeat. Finally, she repeats when she realized I'm serious. I get my food and it's still wrong. I then go in and ask for a refund (the manger gives it and understands) but does nothing to all the young employees.
