I always ask for a 3 ounce kids cone and always get at least 7 ounces. Teach your kids how to weigh the product.

Fantastic ice cream cakes. Not sure why they're so much better, but this location has the best ice cream cakes by far.

The waitress was really nice and said one table was leaving soon and she put some tables together for my large group. She was pretty attentive for serving almost the whole bar alone. My mom and I split the burger and mesquite butter wings I think they could've been a little more saucy, I didn't mention anything, but I'm sure she would've brought me more. If I asked. I heard a lot of good things about the ranch and it was good once I really really tasted it. I didn't find it that flavorful off the top but once I really tasted it, it did have good flavor. Maybe this was a fresh batch that needed to sit. My dad got the buffalo chicken eggrolls. They were good, but we didn't realize it would just be chicken dip in the eggroll wrapper We were expecting shredded chicken with hot sauce and cheese or something similar. I came to celebrate my granddad's birthday just to try something new and he generally likes bar food. He enjoyed it as we sang happy birthday to him. The other patrons and the waitstaff also joined in and someone even offered to buy him a drink. this is a really nice bar if you're looking for good food , good vibes and nice people.

My default when I don't feel like being disappointed…read more @thepubat333 is that easy "let's just go to..." and no one argues it because it just...works. There's enough going on menu-wise that everyone figures it out, and I'm not exaggerating-every single time I've been there since they opened, someone at the table orders a French dip. Every. time. It's basically part of the experience now. Also if I see pierogi, I'm ordering pierogi. That's just who I am. Could've taken down the entire plate without blinking but I shared like a respectable adult (meanwhile mentally tracking which ones were supposed to be mine). It's just a laid back, neighborhood spot that doesn't try to be anything crazy and still ends up being exactly what you wanted. Fun fact: my friend and I once prank called from their landline, the owner immediately called back, we answered like nothing happened, and yeah...the phone was no longer an option for us after that

Bar seating was almost full with only a couple seats. Heard good things about their pizza too. There's free parking in the lot (although small). Shout out to our bartender Ange! The black and bleu shrimp was absolutely amazing. It's got blackened spice and has this creamy sauce that makes you go dip for more (I need that recipe honestly). If I had some bread, I'd definitely use this as a dip lol. We got the thin crust Sicilian pizza to share. The pizza unfortunately was very wet and kind of soggy. I think they could have waited to let it rest for a few min before serving because it would especially show when we were separate the slices and try to take one off the plate. I don't usually want my toppings and cheese to just slide off the pizza. Also since we were at a bar w/ some of the games going on, we wanted wings and got their crispy whole wings in a dry spice rub. They were pretty big wings and well seasoned -- not too spicy though if that's not your vibe.

I just get a basic breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes but it's always really good! My husband enjoys the biscuits with sausage gravy and cinnamon French toast. This locally owned and operated spot is located in the River Town Shopping Center at 148 Allegheny River Boulevard, Freedom Square Diner is a staple for locals in Verona, and the whole area. They opened in 2013, expanding from its original Cranberry Township location, and has since carved out a niche by focusing on breakfast and lunch with a warm, community-centered approach that works. The atmosphere is inviting and relaxed and the cozy coffee counter near the entrance adds to the charm. The place is busy but still friendly and familiar, I mean I love a diner vibe ! The menu is extensive and IMO breakfast is the star of the show, with standout items like the Create Your Own Omelette, the Hungryman Breakfast off a nice spread of eggs, bacon, pancakes, and home fries, that's what Matt O. had and he's now a fan. I had the Nutella French Toast that was like a homage to Elvis with bananas, strawberries and lots of sweet goodness, it was special! I also got a side of sausage gravy and biscuit to share, and these Yinzers actually nailed this Southern favorite. For lunch, the Whale of a Fish Sandwich is a big favorite here, it's hand-breaded haddock on a hoagie roll with tartar sauce and fries. Other popular dishes include the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy, the Steak Salad with garlic-marinated filet, and the Mushroom Swiss Burger with crispy fries. They even have Homemade clam chowder, I will definitely scope that out on my next visit. The diner has wheelchair-accessible entrances, outdoor dining, takeout, and offers a veterans discount, gotta love it! Bottom line: Whether you're craving a hearty breakfast, a nostalgic lunch, or just a good cup of coffee in a welcoming setting, Freedom Square Diner delivers. Good food, great service in a welcoming environment, it's highly recommended!!! Hours: Monday through Saturday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

Elegance with a welcoming feel of home and delicious creations!…read more As soon as you enter, you can see the grandiose architecture of the building and decor. The simplified elegance is also accompanied by the hospitality of the staff. Warm welcomes and greeting each customer as if they are a regular creates an atmosphere that you want to be in for every meal... and you didn't even eat yet. The menu has plenty of options, but I asking for suggestions... the staff can help you to find those hidden gems of Oakmont. The fried zucchini appetizer is not your normal bread crumbed planks- but a pillowy tempura batter that is cleverly aired to avoid sogginess with their plating technique. I would highly suggest grabbing this as an app. The bread service is already fresh and delicious... but the secret sauce... ask your waiter for the dip. Yes, it now costs a little extra. But oh my word.... It is worth every scent. The Blackenzola is worth the creative name and topping! The gorgonzola is fresh and adds such a delicious crust with the balsamic glaze on top of their filet mignon. The chef cooks the meat to perfection and it is a great meal. The green beans are a great vegetable option. The mashed potatoes make sense to be a Chef's Choice. The piping on the plate is beautiful - and they are smooth and creamy! After eating such good food, you have to say yes to just see the Dessert menu... and the tiramisu was calling my name. They give you a large portion and you can taste the freshness of this decadent dessert. All in all, Hoffstot's is a place that you will feel welcome, you will want to come back, and they will probably remember you.. or at least make you feel like part of the family.
