6/26/20 The line got bigger after we placed our orders.

6/26/20 Apparently the Booty Treats icecream wasn't satisfying to my wife. So when you want icecream done right, you gotta go to Dairy Queen. Unfortunately, the Coronavirus has the inside of the restaurant closed for sitting in it. Many of the customers did not wear face covers while the employees wore face masks or face covers with gloves. Joslyn our server took our order. She did a fine job listing to what was needed. She seemed to enjoy hearing her native tongue when I returned for napkins. Her eyes lit up when she heard my Spanish. Guess she doesn't hear it enough in North Carolina Outer Banks area. Anyhow, the small icecream sundae was delicious and we will be back again.

Let's do the time warp...I am taking you back to 2010, when I last ate here. The blizzards were very good. The other ice cream treats (sundaes, milkshakes) were also good. Fast forward to 2013. My friends and I were excited about coming here for blizzards, only to see the sign on the door that said "Closed for Season". D'oh! Denied. I just wish it was open earlier. If they were, I'd give them three stars.

    hours of operation

it is currently in open hours and I think workers aren't here. I want ice creamyness right neow but the doors are locked.

This blizzard was out of this world, good! Like I know I love the frosted animal crackers but there's still a certain something that's missing with just the cookies. But boy!! Crush those bad boys up and mix them with soft serve ice cream and you've got yourself a deal!

Went in, ordered 3 blizzards and 1 dipped cone. Came out in a minute and a half and it was delicious. Never been to a faster DQ

Standard DQ, can be busy but line moves. Nothing crazy. Good selection of ice cream cakes and they will write on it in icing.

It was a bad experience. The person messed up my order. Couldn't understand English and I couldn't understand his language either.

Hire workers that can understand English, thanks. Messed up order and wouldn't give me lids.

Very slow service and extremely dirty locations. There were no clean tables and the doors and windows were dirty.

Nice staff. We had arrived late and they were just about to close the store. They accommodated my family and let us put in a final order.

As you walk in you note the feel of it being a converted diner made to look like a country place. You grab your own menu, seat yourself, and walk up to the bar/register when ready to order. If the first time, you need a minute to get your bearings. Food ordered (3% fee is not using the cash "discount" FYI, pretty common around here and absurd given these OBX prices). Drinks are self serve. Some coke products and excellent tea. This was the end of breakfast around 10:30/11, so it was empty. Service was pretty quick. (they bring it to the table). I thought the breakfast pricing was fair. Shrimp and grits for $12, etc. Especially for the portion sizes. Two things I didn't care for. -The ceilling tiles were crazy dirty and stained and the flor light bulbs were uncovered. -The shrimp and grits needs a re-do. It's huge, with a base of grits, ladels of bacon gravy, and about 5 shrimp and cheddar cheese. It's more like a shrimp, grits, gravy, cheese casserole. I would have much rather had a base of grits, the gravy scooped in the middle with shrimp stuck in it, and topped with cheese. Even with all that you'd think there would be flavor. It was kind of bland minus the occasionally greasy/burnt bacon piece. Also, the shrimp were flavorful but over-cooked and tail on, which is traditional--but in the casserole were a pain in the butt to get the tail off/cut. I know they can do good flavors and plates. My spouse's chicken biscut...omg the hand-breaded chicken was fantastic! My son's baked apples were to die for. You Philly visitors will be happy to see scrapples on the menu - yuck. All in, I would repeat and stick to chicken and the chicken coop.

I really enjoyed each of the dish and all the beers that are on a tap is the highlight of the restaurant. There are two long tables in the middle for larger groups. The seats are surrounded by TVs and a great spot for the family. The second shift breakfast burger is delicious! The Pork belly BLT is also more refined and will please finer palates. The crispy apple jack chicken has all the ingredients for a delicious sandwich. But I would replace the 3 chicken tenders for a large chunk of chicken breast. That would make the sandwich perfect. I don't necessarily blame the restaurant for that since people are constantly coming and going through both the front door and patio, but it did affect the experience. We didn't try the beer wall this time. We came primarily for the food, and I'm glad we did. We both ordered the Angry Chicken sandwich, and it was fantastic. It had great flavor, a good level of spice, and was absolutely massive. For $19, though, it better be big! Honestly, I almost wish they offered a smaller version with just one chicken patty at a lower price. The sandwich has so many great elements, but it's almost too much food. I'd happily order a smaller version. Our server was friendly, but he was clearly spread pretty thin. It took a while to get drink refills and our check. Overall, there were a few things that could have been better, but I'd definitely come back for that chicken sandwich.
