Today I picked up my girlfriend Gloria Pritchett, and we went out to Dairy Queen for date night, and she also gave me a Spanish lesson as she is from Colombia. We both got vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate, and she said hers was very delicioso. I got a Ronald McDonald tattoo on my face earlier today and she did not like it at all and told me it looked like it was super infected and going to explode. She also said she does not like Ronald McDonald and so I dumped her right there and she stormed out. However, the tattoo started hurting really bad and so I quickly shoved my ice cream cone into my face to try to ease the pain and then went to the doctor's office immediately. I am not happy with Big Scary Jimbo from the tattoo parlor and will be giving him an angry phone call later today!! I placed my order online for two blizzards. Went there and there wasn't much room to park. Has a very small lot. The inside of this DQ is very small and can't fit very many people. The line was out the door for people waiting for their ice cream. They should have separate sections for those people who are picking up orders, and those were placing orders so those who are picking them up already paid for them don't have to wait long. The employees seemed nice, but I only had to interact with one who didn't say very much. They did have a nice selection though of ice cream cakes, boxes of buster bars, and dilly bars, etc. in the freezer to the left. Then you had to walk through a very narrow section to get to the exit door, where people were standing around in the aisle so it's hard to get through. They filled our blizzards up high, which it was very nice and they were pretty good . They have big, bright, menus up on the wall, which were very clear and easy to read. Much better than the ones that are outdoors. They really need to expand the inside and a bigger parking lot would be nice. All in all, it's a decent place. We got our blizzards and that's what we went there for so they served their purpose. read more

so rude! got an online order and the order said it was done! we went in to get it and there were a lot of people there in line, we looked over where the take out orders are usually sitting and there was nothing there so we asked, guy at counter was rude, said wait a minute and then ignored us. so we waited 22 minutes to ask again and he grunted and handed me my order, and the time on the ticket was before the first time we asked about it. this was the 3rd time the people taking orders and or picking up online orders were rude to us. there is another dairy queen on niagara falls blvd, that is where we will go from now on. strike 3 your out! read more

What is it about a Dairy Queen that even in a city full of top notch ice cream joints, still manages to find a place in my heart and stomach. I stopped by this Dairy Queen location Saturday evening after some dinner to top it off with a little dessert. Similar to every stop I've made at a Dairy Queen over the last 2 decades or so I ordered a Blizzard (because blizzards are fantastic). For this trip I settled on a chocolate chip cookie dough blizzard and similar to most past experiences, it was made quickly and just as it should. The ice cream was delicious and hot the spot just the way a stop at Dairy Queen should. This location seems to be moderately busy, but the line goes pretty fast. The building itself is super tiny! I find it super awkward to squish in and order and then wait while trying not to bump in to anyone. Other than that, no complaints. Our order has always been correct. I love that this Dairy Queen has vegan ice cream days. Follow their Facebook page to find out when. I used to love going to Dairy Queen when I was a kid but haven't been for 20 years. Being vegan, there are a lot of places that don't accommodate my lifestyle so how thrilled was I though to find out that this DQ has vegan days with vegan soy ice cream and tons of toppings and mix-ins. On their last vegan day, my husband and I went and he got an Oreo Blizzard and I got a chocolate dipped soy ice cream cone. It was delicious and just like I remember it.
