I really like Ted's for their delicious hot dogs and fries. They prepare your meal in front of you which I appreciate. The interior is also a large space that's great to hang out with friends. I did have to knock off a star because they are pretty slow. I also picked up an online order today and their online pick up is also where you check out which is kind of frustrating because you have to basically cut the whole line waiting to check out. I wish they had a different area for online pick up so you don't feel super rude cutting the whole line. I would just stand in line next time since that's pretty much what I had to do anyway which cuts out the convenience of online ordering. Theres also an online ordering "progress" website which tells you when your order is ready but they don't update that either. If they fix the online process I could easily give them 5 stars! read more

We ordered our usual and my son said his milkshake tasted weird. I gave it a try and it did. It tasted terrible. I brought it to the counter and they didn't seem like they believed me. They made another and I asked them to try some first so I didn't have to be the one to test it. They refused and handed me the new shake. As I walked to get a straw, I heard them say it smells bad and someone had just cleaned the machine. Sure enough the shake tasted horrible again. As I was trying it they realized that whoever cleaned everything replaced vanilla syrup with apple cider vinegar. I wasn't mad. I'm just glad it wasn't bleach or something dangerous. read more

We were finishing up a meal at Cracker Barrel and discussing other interesting-looking nearby eateries, when, upon hearing us talk about Ted's Hot Dogs, the person at the table next to ours said that we absolutely had to stop by for a dog. Say no more. We drove on over and decided to share their Regular hot dog, and we got it topped with just jalapeños and mustard. It's a really terrific hot dog. It's cooked perfectly and boasts a really irresistible flavor from the grill. And the two toppings we chose complemented it perfectly. The food is always good. While we were waiting in line though a woman ahead of us was handed a very overloaded tray. Her milkshake fell off and splashed everywhere before she was able to even take a step away from the counter . Quite a few of us were splattered with vanilla shake. They let her try to clean it up herself with napkins. No apologies to her or any of us that were wearing it and they didn't even offer to replace it. She was embarrassed and everyone felt so bad for her. The people in front of us bought her a new one before we were able to. They didn't send someone to finish the cleaning up until she had left the line. read more

I had a terrible experience at Ted's on Sheridan Drive in the Town of Tonawanda. I ordered hotdogs and a drink. The condiments were put on the hotdogs along with a drink,They were sitting on the counter that and the cashier was too busy to take my money and I stood there for a couple minutes while he was packaging up onion rings for somebody that was three people behind me as I stood there and waited. My food got cold as I waited and I was eating in the restaurant. This is terrible Customer Service. read more

A popular place had a number of customers both before us and after. Menu has many options but being a dog place, we ordered dogs. He got a foot-long with chili, I ordered an all beef chili dog with cheese and onions. (Extra cost for cheese was $1.98) Also got an order of rings to share. Was it good? All I can say is, it's a hot dog. Rings? Rings were crispy but seemed to have a lot of batter. If dogs aren't your thing, have a burger. Everything gets cooked over glowing coal briquettes. So we went for the nostalgia and found just that. Both inside and out, it seems to need a little updating. Staff are quick to take orders (and actually give you what you ordered) and give you your order asap. Sufficient parking even with a crowd. My 5 year old had his heart set on a cheeseburger, but that wasn't an option today. The hotdogs we tried were good and half off today for National Hotdog Day, however my husband didn't realize there was a 99 cent charge for chili per hotdog. I enjoy the hotdog I had with the dill pickle spear on it. The French fries were good, but not exactly worth almost $5 for a side portion. Even with half off hotdogs, our order of 4 hotdogs, one fry, and 2 drinks was almost $25. Not exactly a great value for what we received. read more

The food is still excellent but the new ordering system stinks. It took far longer for customers to get their orders than the old system. Also, the new seats aren't good unless you're looking to simulate the feeling of sitting on a wooden pallet. read more

Second visit to a Ted's. This place has two separate lines going at once, both capable of making your food exactly like you want it. This is pretty novel and innovative in an industry well known for its regression, poor decision making, and general bumbling incompetence, so absolute kudos to the manager running this place. Food is good, but like so many places, it takes two burgers to equal a real size burger. Consider offering a triple or even quadruple burger to compensate. This is the first time I've been to a Ted's since this whole pandemic nonsense began so I don't know if the way they're doing things is new or if this is the way they've been doing it the whole time BUT I LOVE IT. You go in and the counters are all blocked off but there's an employee taking orders on a tablet. Then you wait in line against the wall and the only time you approach the counter is when you pay and receive your food. This really minimizes how much contact each customer has with the counter area. Well done, Ted's. Well done. As for the food and customer service. it was awesome. As always. read more

While I've had some hit and miss experiences with Ted's, namely the random closing of a few different locations, the food is amazing 90% of the time. It's a staple of buffalo and a great atmosphere. Their burger is super underrated. read more

This place is a Buffalo, NY classic and in my opinion, the food is consistent whenever you visit. My go to meal is a regular hotdog with Ted's Hot Sauce, a regular fry to split with my husband and a chocolate shake. I also like to get either the Chipotle Ranch Sauce or the new Ted's Burger Sauce to dip my fries into! Right now, based on COVID guidelines, there's no indoor eating, but they do have some outdoor picnic tables if you'd like to eat outside. Inside, the lines are mapped out to abide by the social distancing guidelines. They've also set up a text messaging system for your order so that you can wait outside while your food is cooking. Consistently good food and service. I have been going there since my childhood days and have never been disappointed. Ted's has the best charcoal broiled hot dogs and burgers in Western NY. Their onion rings are awesome and the fries are good too. They also serve Mineo & Sapio Italian Sausage sandwiches & char grilled chicken sandwiches. There is something for everyone. Everything is always fresh, hot & tasty. They have been in business for about 70 years and they are still going strong, so obviously they are doing something right!! read more
