It used to be my favorite place to get quality products at good price, and didn't mind driving the distance. I understood the price hikes in the past and things were good values. Now they raised the price by 28%. It may be due to the tariffs, but I find that too big of a jump. I noticed the store had less customers, and I felt that I would not be back. I've never been in a DAISO before, I always thought it was just a stationary store but I'm super glad I checked it out! It's more of a dollar tree with some exceptions. Almost everything is priced at $1.75, unless it has a tag where you have to do the conversion into USD. There are signs around the store to help you with the conversion. The cashier upfront, Tina, was also spectacular! She was super friendly, professional, and overall has a great personality. She did some small talk, which I really enjoyed. This Daiso is the nearest one to me and it's more than an hour away but sometimes I drive all that way just to come here. Super fun store where almost everything is $1.50. Hard to get out of here for less than $40 because I always find a ton of things I like. And a few of the things I like are their imported candies that cost $4 each. :( LOVE the little plates and bowls and cups. I want to take them all home! Cute stationaries, stickers, tapes, little knickknacks, kitchen tools and utensils, decorations for the home, and lately I've been buying a lot of small things for my 1/3 scale doll dioramas. It's located in a shopping center with lots of parking and also other cool stores to check out before or after your visit to Daiso. I just love to walk down the aisle's and check out everything they have to offer. Some items are a little bit higher priced, three dollars, still a great deal. Quite a few items are easily found in the other $.99 stores, however, some of the items sold here I have only seen sold at Daiso or in Japan. For example you can purchase those little foot socks that allow you to wear thongs because there is a divider between the big toe and the rest of the toes. I love that! This may easily be the best store in the fallbrook shopping center. It's called Daiso, but should be known as the $1.50 and other good items for more. I know , I know , to long of a name but what a great store . So down to the goodies. About 90% of the store is $1.50 while everything else ranges from $1 - $5 depending on the item. They have everything from electronics to silverware to holiday stuff and even Japanese snacks and drinks. My favorite items truly are the Japanese snacks as they are so good especially the soda flavored gummy candies and the variety of different pocky sticks . If you haven't been here it is a definite spot to check out , I mean who doesn't love spending under $10 for a variety of ransom items that will be digested or used in my house. read more

This is one cool place that I would have never known about had my friend not mentioned it to me. I said, "Die what?" I didn't know what she said nor how it was spelled. She told me where it was, so I of course Yelped it and found out how it was spelled..... and then remembered how she pronounced it. I walked in, and my jaw dropped. EVERYTHING....... it is sooooooooooo much nicer and better and cleaner and better quality than ANY $1.00 store, 99 Cent store, Dollar Tree, or anything similar...... so, for the extra 50 cents per item, you get better and more of. Seriously. I don't check in every single time I come here because I don't really know if it matters. But I have to keep updating my review because they never fail to have whatever I'm looking for, even if it's not a normal thing to look for. Today I was in need of some kind of raised rack that I could rest my big ass HP 17" laptop on. HP is notorious for having overheating problems. And yet I still got a second one. Well the only solution to continue using my pretty good laptop is to raise it so that it's not resting directly on any surface, and to have a fan blow right under it so it doesn't overheat. My McGyver setup just wasn't working anymore. So I thought I'd go to Daiso to see if I could find a dish rack or cookie rack. Sure enough, I found some kind of folding tray rack! Unbelievable, but believable. For $1.50?! I also needed some nice plastic pencil cases. Found three. Also got some cute lucky cat figurines for Christmas giveaways. Snacks is also a must every time we go. Today's pick: cheese flavored corn curls, Japanese rice crackers and roasted chestnuts. My fave. This shop was a very interesting twist on the typical dollar store aesthetic. A mixture of products ranging everywhere from snacks, to storage containers, to other random knick knacks all clumped together in one modernized urban Tokyo vibe-like location. My biggest complaint is that this location shamelessly advertises itself as a store that sells everything for $1.50 (unless otherwise marked), but you're going to have an impossible time trying to find anything actually priced at $1.50. Almost every product has a tag greater than $1.50 which completely takes away the draw of a place like this. It's becoming commonplace for bargain stores to be 99¢ (and up) nowadays, which in that case may as well be any other store. This is an interesting novelty place to come see for fun, but I don't see myself coming back here for any everyday essential need. read more

Yay, I never realized there was a Daiso in the Fallbrook Center! I had come here to go check out Michael's and found the Daiso as I was driving around the parking lot. Woo-hoo! Always an awesome browse for cutesy and functional stuff to use around the house. I had gotten some brown cloth organizers from the Daiso in Torrance, and I saw more options here for a smaller pencil holder. So now I have a cool matching set of a TV remote caddy, pencil holder, and two rectangular boxes to put my papers and miscellaneous stuff in. The prices here are very good, only $1.50 for every item in the store unless otherwise marked. I found a really nice silver metallic cloth wine gift bag. Way nicer (and cost way less) than plain gift bags from Target or Michael's! read more

I really didn't want to leave a bad review as I love the items. I am really disappointed in how in one week me and my family received bad service. Just a few days ago I spent $150 worth at this store. If anyone has shopped here, you know that goes a long way. The cashier was not paying attention and forgot two of my items. Spoke to the manager a few days later and they corrected it and thankfully there were still similar items for me to pick up, as my original ones were gone. Now it's only been two days I decide to give this place another chance. Low and behold they charged me twice for an $8.00 item. Didn't find out till I got home and had to drive all the way back for them to once again correct their mistake. To add insult to injury our cashier BRIAN was rude and less than helpful. When we asked for a refund on the double charge and asked that they try not to repeat these simple Mistakes so that we the customer do not have to Continually be inconvenienced, this guy has the audacity to rudely dismiss us and say to check our receipt at the door next time. WTF BRIAN.. it's not our job to police YOUR job. Do better bro... will not be returning here and putting my business elsewhere. The nearest Daiso to me so I've got to say this is going to be my most visited one out of the handful in Southern California. Arriving at the mall parking lot on a weekend is just asking for that traditional parking lot merry-go-round looking for a spot. Finally after a 9 minute trek we found a spot and it was game on. It has been unusually hot these past few weeks and I was actually quite excited to walk into the nice cool chill of the Daiso establishment. I looked at the entrance doors and noticed one was open which is odd because Daiso doors always ask to be closed at all times. We my Daughters and I enter the store we were hit with what can be described as a Fart from the gates of Hell. There was no air conditioning on and the Heat began to wrap its arms around my whole body. I usually spend an hour slowly walking up and down the isles looking for things that intrigue me but I do not need. The heat was slowly taking over my body and I spent most of the 30 minutes of our time in there wiping my forehead from sweat. I couldn't take it anymore and gave the twins the signal that we we're going to leave. I ended up spending $10 and had to go... My last two trips I spent $107 and $112. This trip with unbearable heat I purchased 6 items totaling almost $10. Literally 10% of my standard spending because it was nearly 80-85 degrees inside of this location. If you guys have AC turn it on and if you don't have it... get it. read more

From headgear (hats, beanies, ear warmers), bags, lunch gear, tea muddlers, gift wrap, phone accessories to snacks, and many small things between, Daiso can be a fun shop; my hubby and I were thoroughly entertained! Items are CHEAP, mainly $1.50-$3.00 Today I got 9 items for 14 bucks! which included (3) beanies, noodles, pocky, (2)calpico, red bean candy and a micro fiber cloth set. Minimum $10 if paying with credit card. Recycle and B.Y.O.B., otherwise .10/paper bag. Shop was clean and employees were friendly.
