I I completely understand that Dollar Tree stores are very busy this season, but it is not acceptable for staff to be rude to customers. Today I went in to buy some packing supplies. There was a long line, and for about ten minutes the cashier kept calling for a manager to help at the front. Eventually an older woman I think She's the Manager her name is Amelia, came to assist. When she arrived, another woman cut in front of me. I pointed out that there was a long line of people who had been waiting their turn, but the woman who cut in just said, "She told me it was okay." Then the manager started talking to that woman and told me that if I didn't like it, I should leave. When it was finally my turn, I mentioned that a paper roll on the counter wasn't mine. Amelia grabbed it, slammed it down, and yelled, "THAT GOES HERE!" I told her it was okay and that I understood, and then she mumbled that I should "understand she was stressed because she closed last night." This experience was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. I hope this message reaches whoever needs to address this situation. read more

There are 2 women now that work the registers. They look like they could be related. Rude and do not know how to take "the next customer" in line. Instead, they pick who they want to help and let the next customer wait. I waited in the long line for 15 min with ONE cashier, then the other lady opened a new register and took the person behind me. The person behind me was the same nationality as the cashier so maybe she was privileged. I had 3 things in my hand. I told her 2 times she was rude for doing that and she never even looked my way as I was talking. Left my 3 items. After 20 yrs going there... I will NEVER be back! Amir is a wonderful employee. He had a line so long that it went into the aisles, was requesting backup on the registers, and handling complaints from customers meanwhile i could see his coworkers (posting this at the time i left) socializing in the front. It is ridiculous that this man did not get the support he needed while the others are socializing. Valentine's day Saturday I walk in and see a line going past the candy aisle with one girl working. I hear her call for backup multiple times and it took quite some time for the manager to come to help. She comes and asks what the problem is to the girl working and she says "the line got long." The lack of professionalism, quickness, and care for her job made it clear that the manager doesn't worry about anyone but herself. I told her she needs to have someone else working it's a saturday morning and it's valentine's day! I tried to tell her that this is unacceptable and she proceeded to tell me that I should handle the payroll. The lack of professionalism was absurd as I walked out and I won't be visiting this dollar tree again. I didn't care about waiting in line, it's the fact that they put a single person on register for this entire store. Dollar Tree is always a great place to go to when you need a small item or diy item. The afternoons here are very busy, so you can't get in and out, if that's your way of shopping. Otherwise, this location has some good finds. I was shopping in the gift wrap section. They had a lot of different options of wrapping paper to choose from. Never any helium, balloons that they do have blown up they wouldn't sell to me because the cashier was lazy and wouldn't get one down. Their smaller balloons that they're selling are a joke and deflated. At this point take down your balloons and stop acting like you sell them.... They never have helium any time I have gone in the last 2 years. Cashier didn't even ask me for a bag and when I had asked for one after I paid she goes "10 cents. Do you want?" Um yeah if you had asked I would have paid with my stuff but now I'm supposed to pull 10 cents out ? Yeah this place is a joke. Not to mention the lines are atrocious and the store is a MESS. Female cashier is just unfriendly to customers. She dropped my coins change in my hand in which some fell to the counter. She looked at me to see my reaction. This is the second time I've been to this location and experienced the same unfriendly attitude from this woman. It's my last time shopping there. I always find great stuff at this dollar tree. Crafts for the kids. Decorations for the house. You have to get here in time for the holidays because if you come too close to the holiday they won't stay stocked. This means you have to plan ahead. I feel bad leaving a one star review but I hope they can maybe learn from it? Anyways, while shopping in the store I sliced my finger open on one of the shelves. Blood was flowing out and I didn't have anything to stop the moderately heavy bleeding so I asked an associate for a bandaid as I assumed they had a first aid kit for injuries and emergencies. Nope. She told me to go buy a box of bandaids if I wanted one. The line was 20+ people and I still had nothing to stem the bleeding so I ended up going into a neighboring store who had no problem helping me. I've been visiting this place off and on ever since it opened years ago. I remember mom would let us pick an item or two for us kids to take home. The lines can get pretty long depending on the time of day you visit. They typically only have one cashier and when people are buying dozens and dozens of small items, it can be a slow process. This is the only place where I can find those moisture absorber containers for bathrooms/closets. Best deal around when they actually have them in stock. This is the closest Dollar tree to me. Which is the only reason I bother to go here. I know it sucks to work a minimum wage job, but it's where you chose to work. Maybe not your first choice for employment, but thank the lord you have a job. At least try and crack a smile. The workers seem to always be changing. I dont know if it's because they get treated badly by the managers and they quit or because they can't handle the amount of customers, are overworked and they quit. They never have enough people helping. There should be one person working the balloon section during the times that balloons are at its highest demand. IE, graduations. They have one of the two cashiers doing balloons while the rest of the customers wait for one customer to get 20 balloons. I went in, as soon as they opened, just for some paper plates. I had to wait for the lady's balloons....I had ONE item. It's very frustrating. Teaches me to wait last minute to do something! The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. (I'll post pictures of that) I was afraid my daughter was going to catch something. On the brighter side, they have a great selection of things ranging from cards, candy, school/office supplies, party supplies, hair accessories and many more things.
