Recently ordered on Seamless Web. I wanted I healthier option to regular pancakes, so opted for the wheat pancakes. However, I wanted banana in them, but there is no option to add it online. So my girlfriend called, the lady could not understand, so I spoke to her in Spanish, said I wanted bananas and she said Ok. Fast forward, pancakes arrive, no bananas. The pancakes were pretty bad... I ordered the Mexican 10 ounce burger with sweet potato fries and I had to say it was fairly good My name problem was that the bread was soggy from the juices from the burger I'm assuming and the French fry oil being in the same plate. I love Daisy's! It's totally the best place to go after a night of being a dirty stay out. I'm a big fan of their Lumberjack Special where you get 2 buttermilk pancakes, sausage, 2 eggs and hashbrowns. Totally hits the spot after a night of debauchery. The food comes out quickly and the service is great. The wait staff is really friendly and always willing to spare a few minutes to chat and chide you for not cleaning your plate. Oh Daisy's, there's some things I love about you, like the fact you never close, there's almost never a wait and the service is pretty prompt. But you don't always bring your A-game and some of your prices are way off for a diner. I'm still sad about the $9 we paid for a skimpy BLT on plain sliced bread w/no mayo or fries. Well... I gave it 3 stars since it was opened 24 hours and I came at literally 4:30am because my friend and I were hungry and couldn't sleep. He's vegan and he got a veggie burger, but he didn't say anything about it. I assume it was OK. I wanted to give it a 2 stars because the potatoes were too mushy, I got an omelet with bacon and mushroom and cheese, but the cheese looked and tasted like cheese whiz that comes out of a can. Or that spreadable cheese that comes in those kid snacks where you have the plastic red stick. The coffee had some ground coffee bean bits in it. But it tasted ok. I think I've been spoiled by the diners in Bay Ridge. Diners by me offer breakfast specials that include coffee amd juice. Apparently not here, it's a la carte. That's fine but the breakfast platter in itself was more expensive than my neighborehood too. I know, this is Park Slope. I get it! But, for what it's worth. This place is a solid alternative in comparison to the other restaurants that offer brunch. Service was quick and the decor of this diner is pretty cool. Not generic looking with cheap wallpaper. Sometimes I come here on Sundays for brunch. The breakfast here is really good. I get the scrambled eggs, with bacon, sausage, and home fries! the home fries are my favorite things! The atmosphere feels very homey, it is a place where you can come here with your family and enjoy a good breakfast. They also have a huge menu for people that want to eat lunch or dinner at Daisy's. The food taste very home made and authentic, which is really fantastic. The price is fair, it's not overly expensive. This is overall a really great place but also a convinient one as well, since they have almost everything on the menu, it's a great place to come when you cannot decide on what to eat! read more

On my last visit, I ordered the penne a la vodka, which came with a salad. The Italian dressing was too tart and the red pepper flakes were surprisingly spicy, so that was a miss for me. The portion size for the penne was out of control- I think they gave me a pound of pasta! I barely made a dent in it so I took it home with me and it literally fed me twice. So it was 3AM and my friend Jon and I were chillin in Crown Heights when the munchies set in. Of course the only place in CH open that late is the 24 hour bulletproof bodega on the corner, so after consulting Yelp, we decided to go for a walk around Prospect Park to go to Daisy's. After a good half hour on our feet, we were thrilled to arrive at a our destination. It's a very comfortable establishment, well decorated, not too kitschy... the kind of place you can see being a great place to stop by on a bitter cold winter day. Our waitress was very attentive (maybe because we were the only people she had to wait on when we got there), and the food was prepared quickly. I rate a diner based on the quality of their breakfast, and I have to say, judging by the omelet I got, this is definitely a diner to keep on your radar. Not to mention the fact that our meal was incredibly cheap. Seventeen bucks for breakfast for three people (we brought back a meal for our friend who had gone to bed). This is my FAVORITE DINER! Been coming here since I was a toddler (I'm 20 now, birthday was Wednesday sept 11), my family been coming here before me and we never had an issue with Daisy's diner. I always order the breakfast anytime I stop by Daisy's for a bite to eat. I normally order scramble eggs with cheese, homefries with beef sausages, white toast and a tall glass of OJ. That's been my order for as long as I can remember. Food is so good, they make my scramble with cheese just the way I like it. I can't stress enough about the homefries. Homefries and hash are completely two different things, I'm highly annoyed and tired of going to other diners asking for homefries and get hash browns. With Daisy's diner? Well on my way for some good morning chow this place I must have passed a thousand times. So I looked at the menu and decided to keep it simple. Pancakes and Bacon, wow these were some hearty pancakes. For a person like me not to finish them that is saying a little bit. The butter was nice and cold and the pancakes were steaming hot, a very fine combination. Service was kind and fast, plus i only drank water at this sitting. Boy, wish i had some real Maple Syrup. I feel like diners are few and far between now in Brooklyn so we decided to try this place when my mom said she wanted diner food. We were seated right away in a booth when we arrived and quickly ordered after we got the extensive menus. I got a chicken sandwich while A got a chocolate milkshake, which we shared, and the standard eggs, home fries, toast, and sausage. Our waitress was nice but it took a little while to get our food since she was chatting with other staff. What we ordered tasted ok and nothing stood out for us that we would get again so it's really just your typical traditional diner, which is nice to have around. Stopped in for brunch after a 6 mile run with my husband! I love was STARVING & am quite surprised I was willing to try a new place when I felt I needed my "tried & true" meals as a reward. This diner is right on 5th ave near 9th st. It looks quite small from the outside but once you walk in you realize the diner extends to further seating in the back. It was bustling with people when we came in around noon. The staff was smiling and everyone was making conversation with the patrons which was nice to see. We were seated after less than 10 minutes. The waitress was friendly and promptly brought over coffee. The menu is extensive and I finally decided on the ranchero omelette. The food was delicious and portion was perfect! They also have TVs just in case someone won't leave the house for fear of missing the game lol. Ohh and I'm that crazy person who travels with Tabasco hot sauce but luckily they have it!! Let me start by saying I've eaten breakfast may times here and Saturdays and Sundays are so crowded they must be doing something good and they do. You get a great breakfast served quickly and it tastes great. Dinner is another story, less attentive and eager to please and unless you stick to burgers your rolling the dice with your selection. Also turn off the TV that has static every time the cashier rings up an order and for god sakes PLEASE repair or reupholster the vinyl seats up front. So, the story tonight begins much earlier as my girlfriend and I were seeking some late night grub....We're picky and indecisive (well, I am at least) so after deciding on takeout, we discovered (big surprise) that nothing was open and still delivering. Thus began an argument and a subsequent agreement on going to a diner for some good ol' comfort food. Now, I feel that people don't really understand how to rate a diner. They are establishments in a league of their own. You go for three things: greasy food, milkshakes, and people-watching, in that order. You do not go for exceptional service, although a quirky over the hill lady who gives you extra whipped cream is always a bonus. There is no quirky over the hill lady here. There are surly waiters, and the weird seedy guy in an ill-fitted 15 year old suit that I can only assume is the owner. Maybe his name is Daisy. Anyway, I'm kind of torn about the rating here. On the one hand the food is great for a diner. I'm talking about the perfect "my-soul-hurts-give-me-food" type of fare. That's what you go to a diner for. On the other hand, the service was pretty bad, even by my lowered diner standards. Our surly waiter didn't even say hello before throwing the menus on the table, then came back every 30 seconds to get the order. I'm pretty sure he was trying to rush us, which was validated when he put his coat on and walked out the door, never to be seen again. His shift must have been over, and apparently he didn't deem that our tip would be sufficient enough to encourage sticking around. Also, annoyingly either their menu prices are out-dated, or they feel like since they don't have an automated POS that they can write whatever price they want on your ticket. Our $7 burger turned into $8, the $2 rice pudding suddenly became $3.25. That was after Mr. Seedy Bad Suit Owner wrote it out for us since our waiter had left. Summary: Bad (weird) service, but the food is great. We had the BBQ burger, which was delicious, but standard. Good french fries that were just the right amount of crispy. The Banana Challah French Toast requires that you peel and dissect your own banana but is tasty nonetheless. And as long as you understand your pudding costs $3.25, not $2, then you should be happy with it. PS, there was a delivery guy popping in and out when we were there (around 1:00 AM) so I'm assuming they have late-night delivery, which is a bonus. Not sure what the radius is though. read more

I've been avidly seeking a diner to call home and sadly, as much as I wanted Daisy's to fit the bill, I regrettably say Daisy's did not come close. we ordered: the Mexican burger (we asked for just the burger yet they brought/ charged us for a deluxe), a Veggie Patty Sumo Burger, onion rings and buffalo wings. While nothing we ordered was awful... Nothing was very good either. It was mostly just 'eh'.... Even by diner standards. The moral of the story is my search for my diner haven continues. read more

I went to Daisy's for the first time this morning and it blows my mind that it took me a year to get there. Seriously, it's 10 min away, open 24 hours, delivers... where have I been? I had the banana walnut pancakes - giant, fluffy, sweet, delicious pancakes. They were a little bit dry, but that's why Pancake God invented syrup. I could only make it through 2 of the 3 pancakes, and now four hours and a two mile walk later, I'm still full. The waitress was a sweet older lady, super friendly and super quick.
