The food was good and the service was as well. What I ordered: - Kale Caesar (added chicken) - Eggs Benedict - Fries I love a place that offers kale or other greens as opposed to just romaine lettuce. By far my favorite diner in Park Slope. I'm from Cali originally, so the concept of "diner' is still a little lost on me. I do get it, somewhat....diners are supposed to be greasy spoons where food is pumped out at a fast pace, delivered by suly waitresses. So in that sense, Daisy's fits that bill....and then it doesn't. The pace is fast--especially during weekend breakfast and brunch hours. The waitresses hustle you through your order, and the speed at which they pump out your food makes you wonder if they're doing lines of meth back in the kitchen. The menu is actually HUGE. I'm talking Jerry's Famous Deli huge (you SoCal mofos know what I'm talking about). If you can't find something to eat at Daisy's, you should honestly GFY---there is literally something for everyone. Example: last Sunday my girlfriend and I went there for brunch, and it was packed to the gills. You would think that you'd be waiting for a table well into the next Recession; but NO--we were seated in 5 MINUTES! Both the little lady and I are vegetarian, which should be enough to make a 50-something diner waitress at the last half-hour of her graveyard shift roll her eyes in disgust. Add to the fact that my better half is an UBER picky diner---to the extent that a 25% gratuity on top of tax should always be included on our bill. I ordered the two eggs, which included toast and potatoes--all under $4. SCORE! She ordered the California Omelet. With egg whites? And instead of turkey, put sundried tomatoes? And easy on the cheese? And wheat toast, no butter? And a half of a grapefruit? No problem. The order came out before you could say "teabag that grapefruit". Our water's were always filled, and the waitress was always around to make sure that we were enjoying our food, but not dawdling. In total, we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. The bill was less than $25. This place is a total gem. read more

Tonight I went to Daisy's Diner to have Dinner with my Family. I have been eating at this Diner for Years,this Diner has some of the Best waitresses that I have ever come across,but this night we had a Male waiter who was rude from the beginning. At one point, we switched my 10yr old Daughters order from Pennie to Linguine within 15 seconds of him asking us what kind of pasta she wanted. When we changed the order he literally rolled his eyes at us with a smirk. I ordered The Pennie Caprese which was good besides the fact that they sprinkled A LOT of cilantro on top. Me personally, I hate Cilantro, I can't stand the taste, so the fact that it was melted with in the cheese and all over the plate kinda ruined the meal for me. I ate most of my meal but had to pick out the cilantro the whole time. When we were ready to go I asked our waiter, if the menu says that they put cilantro on there Pasta, He told me " No, This is not Cilantro it is Parsley." I said No sir it's 100% cilantro I know the taste of Cilantro and I am very well aware of what Parsley taste like, as I use it in my everyday cooking. He comes back to my table eating what he claims is Parsley and tells me this is Parsley Not cilantro I can let you taste it. I said sir listen I ate most of the food I'm Not asking for a break on the check or anything like that, nor Am I even complaining about the fact that my meal was ruined because someone accidentally put Cilantro on my pasta,I am just letting you know so you guys don't continue to put it on other peoples food! this man continued to tell me that there was not cilantro on my food. This was an unbelievable experience and I couldn't believe that this waiter was arguing with me about what I was eating on my plate. Today was my last day going to daisy's diner. I've been a customer for a while but today was the straw that broke the camel's back. if i'm at a diner spending my hard earn money i expect to be treated the same as every patron in your establishment no matter the race. i've turned a blind eye to this previous time and ignore it because i didnt want to be looked at as "just another Angry Black Man". theres a short mexican waiter in daisy's diner with a big ass square head. (he looks like Murdock from the superhero squad) black and grey hair, this man refuses to help an african american customers. Today I watched him help the spanish customers then the white customers when it came to us "blacks" moreno" he walked pass us and turned his head and looked the other way..and we all were seating approximately 2 to 5 ft away from each other. I knew he turned his head because it took him a while to turn that big ass square head of his and ignore us. so to daisy's diner you've seen the last of my money because of 1 worker who thinks its ok to treat certain races that dine in your establishment differently when at the end of our meal we all pay using the same color money! I had a disappointing experience during my visit. The coffee quality could use improvement, as it was either burnt or watered down. The food was decent overall, but my omelet turned out to be quite dry. I noticed some hygiene concerns, like a staff member touching the counter before handling the toast that ended up on my plate, which made me uneasy about eating it. I didn't have the energy to address this at the time, but it's definitely something that could be fixed. Additionally, the coffee mugs seemed a bit unclean. I appreciate the effort to create a trendy vibe with the leather aprons, but I think customer service needs a boost to match that atmosphere. This diner is a joke on so many levels. A group of 4 of us stopped in recently on a sunday. It was very crowded so I figured this place has to be good. We all ordered breakfast items. Pancakes were undercooked and were oozing batter in the middle. Over easy came out over well and the bacon was beyond well done. On the third dish the eggs were ice cold when they came out. My other friend had no complaint with his scrambled eggs. In all we had three egg platters and one pancake order. Toast was given for only two orders. Also, the waitress disappeared on us. We wanted more coffee and the check and she was just gone. After about ten minutes when she reappeared we decided to just get the check and leave. We left feeling very annoyed. read more

I had an amazing experience at Daisy's Diner! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was elegant and the staff were very welcoming. The food was outstanding the cinnamon roll pancakes was especially delicious, with great presentation and generous portions. Everything tasted fresh and clearly made with care. Service was quick and thoughtful, and Saul made sure we had everything we needed. The overall experience exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Daisy's Diner to anyone looking for great food. Unfortunately, this was the worse diner experience I've ever had in my whole life. I needn't go into the details of absolutely every aspect being a disaster, but I feel that I need to save others from also wasting their time and money. Daisy's diner, if you read these, I think you need to hire a consultant to help you learn how to run a restaurant. DO NOT GO HERE. I went here thinking I found my new favorite late night munchy place. Wrong. Not only did I see one of the servers drop food. I saw them place it back on the counter and serve it despite the fact I told them I saw them drop it. If this is what they do when customers are watching can you imagine what goes on in the kitchen?
