I had a very good experience here with Tristan (spelling?). My new watch's metal bracelet was too loose, and I needed a snugger fit. I also happen to be germophobic. I went to the other two watch/jeweler businesses in the mall: Crabtree Jewelers and Treasure Island Jewelers. I asked if they could please wear gloves while removing two links from my watch bracelet. They said that they didn't have any gloves. The guy at Treasure Island Jewelers flat out refused to do any work with gloves on. I finally came here, and I was pretty sure that Dakota Watch Company wouldn't have any gloves. To my surprise, they did! Tristan offered to wear them right away!! I was so impressed by how innately customer service oriented she is. I would definitely return here for removing the links from the metal bracelets of any watch that I ever buy in the future. read more

I bought my watch here & they help with batteries the first year ( only lasts a yr?) after that they charge more than jewelers for replacement. four of the numbers have come loose from my watch face. They're now jiggling around under the crystal & getting in the way of hand movement so it doesn't keep reliable time. Their answer -have to send it off & you pay. This is a fail. How difficult can regluing the numbers be? Stay clear. read more

I'm not a big fan of Dakota watches, but I'll go to this mall kiosk occasionally to have batteries replaced. I don't think the receipt specifies this, but all batteries come with a year warranty. I've never waited too long for a battery swap. Bonus fact: All watch stores set the display watches to 10:10 so that they appear to be smiling and don't hide the company's logo. read more

I went to the kiosk at Crabtree Valley Mall to have a battery replaced in my Swiss Army watch. I had done this before with good results. The young man took my watch and told me to come back in about 15 minutes. I returned as the clerk was attempting to put the back on my watch. He was actually having to lean hard on the press to get this done. When I got my watch back he informed me that there was something wrong with my watch. I took the watch home and less than 6 hours later the watch stopped entirely. I returned to the kiosk to talk with the manager, Daniel Gelpi. Daniel told me that it was not their fault and that my watch had simply stopped working at the exact instant that they pried the back off of it. AT THE EXACT INSTANT that they began working on it??? I asked Daniel what he intended to do about replacing my watch and his only reply was that they would take the watch and send it to their repair facility to see what they could do. I took my, now destroyed, watch back and left. This place is run by crooks who have no interest in customer relations or customer satisfaction. Their job is to sell cheap watches to suckers and occasionally replace batteries. My advice is to completely avoid this place and visit reputable watch and battery dealers. It's been awhile since I've seen such disregard for a customer or for satisfying that customer. Save your time and avoid Dakota Watch Company. read more

Left my watch for battery change and cleaning at 11:45 am. Was told that manager had to do this so it would be ready after 2:30 pm or latest 3 pm. Came to pick it up 3:10 pm. Agent told me she had called the manager to come in without success. I spent two hours extra in mall just waiting. Very poor service of so called manager. Decent place to get a battery changed quickly. Actually the only place I could get my Invicta done without being charged an arm and a leg. The could do with a bigger selection of leather bands though. read more
