Very good tapas. We tried the tortilla española, shrimp in garlic, short rib and paella valenciana. The stand out was the shrimp. Simple but authentic. All of the other dishes were very good and d I will defiantly be back if I am in the area. The staff is very good and looks like they enjoy working with each other. Sat at the bar and watched Don Julio work his magic.

This is my new favorite tapas spot in Boston! Everything about this experience was amazing. The food was so delish. The shrimp and scallops were my absolute favorite. I would highly recommend Dali to anyone looking for tapas!

Came in with a girlfriend a few weeks ago for a nice diner. The place is pretty cool, has a nice atmosphere with really friendly staff. It took a while to be served but we didn't mind having a slower dinner. We got the alcohol free sangria and I was very pleasantly surprised as how similar it tasted rather than like straight juice. We had the squid ink dish which we weren't expecting to be calamari. Not my personal favorite dish but nothing bad about it. Then we had the scallops which I found to be pretty good, the flavoring could have been a bit stronger. The most interesting dish was the blackberry duck. Something about it confused my Brian but would definitely say it's a dish you need to try. My favorite thing we had was the lemon custard for dessert. Very large size, plenty for a group of 3 or less.

A hidden gem in Somerville, you'd never know this place is so busy inside! Great decor and friendly staff, make a reservation before hand or try to get lucky with bar seating. This is a tapas style place, with our favorites being the braised short rib, chicken kebab, octopus, and churros. Such a delicious and high quality meal!

The food is always amazing. Working through the menu, as someone who usually eats seafood, I was eager to try the other items, and it didn't disappoint!! Our experience is always amazing, fun, and so welcoming by all the staff. I do have to shout out our server/bartender, Julio T. He is always happy, welcoming everyone, and having a great time at the job. Each time I have been there he is always having fun serving all those at the bar and keeping folks laughing and enjoying their time. One thing I love about the ambiance is that everyone you see loves their job and is there to assist you!

Best place ever!! You feel as your part of a big family . Food, drinks, ambience is just wonderful! Julio is the best !!! MJ bartender made made me this delicious drink wow!!

The atmosphere is fun and busy and the decoration is eclectic. Our server was very welcoming and taught us how to pronounce the Spanish dish names. Our food came out relatively quickly but water refills were slow. Overall I had a great time and would come back again for special occasions El Passion - fruity with a sour punch Arroz Negro con Calamares - the black rice slightly tomato's and very tasty. The calamari on top was crispy. Your lips will turn black Mejillones en Crema de Camarones - the mussels were skinny and the shrimp sauce was the star of the show. It came with garlic bread for dipping but the sauce was also great on rice. Pato Braseado - The duck cooked perfectly and the acid from the berry sauce cuts the richness of the meat Conejo Estofado - sauce was sweet with a slight kick. Paired well with the tender rabbit Valenciana Paella - very lightly flavored rice. I enjoyed the variety of seafood and meat in the paella. Clementine flan - flan is silky smooth and not overly sweet, the candied fruit was a slightly bitter accent. Churros - came out piping hot with dulce de leche and chocolate syrup.

Another great meal at Dali. Tried the mussels in creamy sauce for the first time here- it's delicious. Creamy artichoke and mushrooms were quite rich. Gambas in garlic sauce, beef short ribs, calamari and squid ink rice, and seafood paella are all favorites here. The tenderloin empanadas were amazing, and I liked the accompanying dipping sauce. We asked for extra toast because it's the perfect complement to all the flavorful sauces - crispy outer layer, soft interior, warm. Great cappuccino to end the meal.

What a lovely Spanish tapas restaurant with an unassuming exterior. I've walked by a few times before, but being inside really transports you into its own world with dimly lit ambiance and thoughtfully themed decor. The portion sizes were expected for tapas (small plates) and every dish we got was unique in flavors and delicious. For us, the standout was the braised duck leg. What an incredible mix of sweet and sour flavors of the sauce combined with the savory flavors and crispy yet juicy textures of the duck. Our server was attentive in filling up our waters and recommended the right number of dishes for us to have a filling but not overstuffed dinner. I would definitely come back for another delicious meal with friends, family, or for a date night.

Food: In general, good for the most part. There were some tapas dishes I liked more than others. The drinks were good though, my espresso martini was 11/10. It's tapas style, so you can order a lot of small dishes to try. The paella was ok. Service: Our server, Moi, was fabulous. Super attentive and personal. Our food was also pretty fast. Ambiance: It's dark inside, and gets very busy (they tell you to leave as soon as your reservation time is over). The main drawback for me was that there were only 2 bathrooms. The door from front was also confusing. But it was fun going to my friend's birthday here!

Amazing food! My first time trying the concept of tapas (well not really but more like my first time trying many plates of tapas at once) My review of some of the things I had from here: 1) Ceviche was amazing and the presentation of it was beautiful. The juice to seafood ratio was adequate so that's always good (usually I don't see a lot of seafood in ceviche at other places. 2) Scallops were good but I think the sauce that it was served in helped. 3) I can't recall the name, but it was a sizzling shrimp dish served in a cast iron type skillet. Honestly, I wasn't a super fan. It has a very smoky flavor and it's just basic salad shrimp, not even prawns. 4) calamari with squid ink rice- I was very impressed with the squid ink rice. I don't have much to say about the calamari itself since it tastes comparable to other places. I definitely like the ambience here and would come back if there is a birthday party (oh yeah, and speaking of , you'll be hearing the waiters sing happy birthday every five minutes for someone. So just a fair warning if that annoys you (it kinda did for me lol)

I really enjoyed looking at the various decorations in the restaurant! The decor, combined with the ambient lighting, and occasional loud birthday celebrations, made for a fun dinner experience. Two of us decided to order a variety of tapas (mostly hot) from the menu. I was not expecting a lot of the dishes to have a sweet undertone to them. We started with the jamón ibérico ($24) which came with a few pieces of crusty focaccia soaked in oil. The fat from both the ham and the oil was very rich. We got the alcachofas rellenas ($15), bolitas de queso ($12), pulpo a'feira ($19), gorditas ($10), and chuletillas de cordero ($15). All of the dishes were decent, but I wouldn't say any of them particularly stood out to me. The alcachofas rellenas tasted just like a baked artichoke dip (delicious, but nothing special). I liked the bolitas de queso but the caramelized onion and honey ended up making the dish too sweet for my liking. The chuletillas de cordero had a similar vibe for me-- the lamb chops had a nice char, but the peach sauce was unexpectedly sweet. If you prefer your dishes to be more savory than sweet, I would not recommend the bolitas de queso, gorditas, or chuletillas de cordero. After we received all of our dishes, we realized that we could still eat so we tried the plato mixto ($25). It came with a huge variety of cheeses and meats which were fun to pair together. Overall the food was good and I enjoyed the vibes as well.

Decent but a bit salty. We may be tapas snobs? Or maybe it was just a particularly salty night when we most recently went.

Good place for kids, 6yr and up? Wanted to take my family here and have seen kids in the past and sure kids are welcomed ... but wanted some feedback either way?

Great place for kids. Lots to look at. Some of the sauces have very strong flavors. Not picante, but a few dishes have a lot of raw garlic. But otherwise: yes yes yes. My daughter loved it from the time she was 2 and my nephew asked his grandparents…

Come Mother's Day and I am not a fan of going out on the actual day, but I did remember this place. We made a Saturday reservation, picked up my son from work, and headed over here. SO WORTH IT! I thought the spot was adorable and clearly well loved by locals and their own staff. You really get the feeling that all that work there really love the place. I like the menu items are not the "usual suspects" I see at most Tapas places, which are good but sometimes you want to shake things up. We got: Bolas de queso Patatas Aioli Croquetas De Jamon Croquetas De Verduras Solomillo De Ternera y Queso Cabrales Calamares Fritos Tabla de Quesos Pisto Manchego Albondigas De Cordero Iberico Peras Borrachas Torta De Chocolate All the menu items were flavorful and enjoyable. I think my favorite was the Croquetas De Jamon, if I had to choose just one item. We also decided to get two desserts - a pear dessert which seems to be their signature dish and the chocolate tort. While the pear was lovely, I was really in the mood for something chocolate so I enjoyed it more (but honestly cannot go wrong with either).

We made it clear that we would gladly crowd the table and make it work but we're told that there literally weren't enough chairs. Which was not true. At one point we were told the the add could "stand" at the table. It is extraordinary that she made this statement. It is profoundly galling. I didn't catch her name but it was a slightly heavyset woman in a leopard skirt. I am sure they this is a lively spot with a decent rep and lots of business. However, when a place starts to think that they no longer exist to serve customers but rather that customers are lucky to eat here they will quickly go down hill-- frankly a sign that it already has. Arrogance is rarely rewarded in this industry. And this place is not good enough to be arrogant. The pluses do not outweigh the minuses. Our other opted to go off on his own. We ate. The food is wildly overpriced. $9 for 2 slices of a baguette with tomato puree. I make this at home and the food cost is about $0.75. The other items weren't quite as absurdly priced but I found the pricing for the pan con tomate idiotic. The food was solid overall, not amazing. The service was okay from the waitstaff but somewhat intermittent. The experience overall left a bad taste in my mouth. I was happy when it was over. To add insult to injury they allow smoking on the sidewalk tables and the people next to us were smoking something pretty vile from a vape pen.

Not sure if the lack of other customers contributed to the depressing atmosphere but we were seated in the larger dining section and it felt a little haunted. The food was just not very good, it pains me to say. Another review mentioned how the dishes did not seem to be prepared with any love or effort, which I agree with. The patatas bravas, a mainstay of any tapas menu, was perhaps the worst offender: undercooked, roughly cut chunks of potato with a messy drizzle of tomato sauce on top. Not sure how you mess that up. The bread used on the side of our spicy garlic shrimp was stale and cold. The toasted crostini with Iberian ham was an utter mess for a $19 dish - crudely sliced ham layered on top, making it impossible to take a bite without the ham sliding off; very tough, chewy bread. And the portion sizes were miniscule for the regular price (they do a HH special with $5 tapas which is a way better deal). The creme brulee was way too heavy on the cinnamon and amaretto. Our waitress was sweet and the food came out quickly, so giving some points for that. Parking: They offer a parking voucher for the Whole Foods around the corner; it's a minor pain to have to traverse that particular intersection to put the voucher in your car and then back to the restaurant but free parking is such a rarity in Boston so I'll take it.
