Dallas JDM sold me an engine that arrived with a bent cam sprocket. It also had a sticker indicating the timing belt had been replaced at 86k miles in 2012 so they were lying about the engine having 50-65k miles on it. Further, there was a loud knocking noise coming from the engine and compression was around 100-125 PSI on each cylinder. It took 2-3 days and I had to re-send the same e-mail a few times before they would respond to my questions. I eventually received a refund but it cost me a lot of time, labor, and money. When I did finally receive the refund a few weeks later, they issued it without any sort of apology for selling me a defective engine with way more miles on it than they advertised. I definitely will not purchase from them again. read more

I just left Dallas an hour ago. I went to purchase an D17A VTEC. I called Dallas JDM Motors and asked if they had done any compression tests on their motors, and could tell me what the reading was. I was told they didn't do that. My mechanic couldn't go with me, but he asked me to look under the oil cap to see if there was sludge, and to look at the plugs to make sure it wasn't burning oil. Since they were not able to give us much information other than what engine it was, he wanted it checked ou. All their engines are powerwashed, so I know a good checking out is required. I was allowed to look under the oil cap, but when I asked for permission to pull a plug, the young man helping me walked away to talk to the boss. He came back with an older Asian man, who said he didn't want me wasting his employees time. I said that "I" was willing to pull the plug, but he said NO. I asked, "if, after I pay and load it, when I pull the plugs, if they are oil fouled, may I return it right away?" He was obviously angry and said, "This motor is NOT for sale". I don't know why he is against someone checking out a motor, but this business seems pretty sketchy to me. Who would buy a used car without a test drive at least? I just wanted to make sure it didn't burn oil, but that oppurtunity was refused. Please use caution when buying from this company. I'm not saying that they are hiding anything, but their actions to me today would make me very wary of ever returing again. And I will certainly never recommend them to anyone. Do not buy from this place. I purchased a b18c for my car. I have had to fight with these guys both Daniel and zoon to get anything done on the motor. These guys are a joke. Purchasing the motor was easy but getting them to warranty the motor or do anything that would be the right thing to do was a nightmare. After dealing with this motor for almost 90 days between calling them and trying to get ahold of either Daniel or zoon that are never there or never return your call. they finally refunded me most of my money back claiming that I didn't bring back the exhaust manifold so they docked me 200 bucks. What? It's the top half that isn't usable unless you have the bottom half! All the electronics on the motor where pretty beat up and or broken. I will tell everyone never to buy here. I will never buy here ever again. read more

I put up an ad on craigslist looking for some S2000 parts. Their shop had one of the parts I was looking for (a trunk lid) and contacted me. They were quick on responses and when I went he helped me load it into my car. Trunk's in great shape and I got it for a great price. I would've bought more, but they don't carry many S2000 parts (they're notoriously hard to come by even on the s2000 forums, eBay, etc). Again, I'm very happy and I'd be willing to purchase from them again. read more

George is great to work with. My Granddaughter's truck needed an engine and we had purchased one from a "Supposedly multi state company" in Seguin TX. Turns out they were just a broker and the engine they shipped was pure trash. Was shipped late, all nasty and the air intake crusted over with crud. Lasted less than ten miles and lost all oil pressure. Had a one year warranty but after 4 weeks of them saying over and over again they had one on the way. We contacted JDM In Dallas. George said yes I have one on the shelf, so the next day I drove up. He explained how they got them and told me I would have to swap certain items out from the old one and I would be ready to go. Told me it had a real 90 day warranty . Super nice fellow. Next day I got my trailer and went up and he loaded me up. Within another couple of days it was purring like a kitten. If folks tell you they are a mega dealer. Do a lot of looking before you send them the money. Better yet if you need a Japanese motor just call just call George. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I bought a front end clip from them for a WRX in May of 2014 for $1300.00. Upon arrival, the front bumper support was completely rusted through as well as many other parts in less than serviceable condition. I contacted them about it. I was ignored until I left negative feedback on ebay about them. They contacted me only after I left negative feedback and opened a case resolution. They agreed to pay the return shipping for the bumper support as well as the other broken and rusted parts once they were sent back and begged me to change the negative comment on the feedback. I sent the parts back and a few weeks later received the bumper support. A few weeks pass by. I called asking about where my parts were and they told me they were sitting in a box and would be shipped out the next day. A few weeks pass by. I call and they told me they had been shipped. Again, a few weeks go by and still I have not received my parts. I called and asked to speak to a manager, then was put on hold. I sat on hold for 30 minutes before hanging up. This happened again two more times. I NEVER RECEIVED MY PARTS. I am out $400.00 in parts now and they led me on long enough for the Ebay policy to expire and now I get to buy parts that I already paid for. AVOID this shady company at all costs and just buy your parts elsewhere. They have no sense of customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! read more

Buyer beware. I bought a used transmission (with allegedly less than 50k miles on it) for a Subaru Outback. It failed catastrophically within 3 miles of the test drive after installation. They sent a second transmission. I paid $1000 to take the bad one out and put the second one in. Only once it was in the car did the garage notice that it was the wrong type (axles would not fit because they had sent a Forester transmission). Dallas JDM then sent axles they said would work. They didn't. Then they say they will not pay for the labor caused by their faulty and then incorrect transmission. Nor will they pay to ship the transmission back to them. They do not know what they are doing and their customer service policy is appalling. Do not buy from these people. read more

I bought rear disc brake conversion for my Honda Civic. It bolted right up and it was exactly as described these guys are awesome
