Lots of options. They have a hotpot station, hot foods section, sushi station, and beverage station. Some options that stood out to me were the abalone, crab legs, malatang, and beverage options. However, the abalone and crab legs were limited per plate. Food quality was average. Ambience was busy, lots of people during dinnertime. Whole restaurant is super spacious. Everything is self service. Grab plates, foods, drinks yourself. Only thing they help you with is grabbing dirty plates off your tables. Overall food was really average for a pretty high price. Nothing too special, had lots of variety. Wouldn't come back but glad I tried it out.

This is a good spot with a lot of diverse items to choose from. It's approx $40 on the weekends, then cheaper priced on weekdays as well as different prices for lunch or dinner. We went on a weekend, so probably, I assume, experienced the menu at it's very best. The highlights are: Roast Duck Snow Crab Legs Cooked to Order (you need to tell them and watch the grill and request to get your order pulled off early if you want "Medium Rare") fresh Meats, like Galbi short beef ribs If you look on Yelp, you'll see a lot of the photos. When you go to the restaurant, before you commit, you can ask to walk in to check it out before committing. They do provide FREE drinks, so that's not a separate upsell offer. They have all or a lot of Asian foods like sushi, sashimi, dim sum, BBQ grilled meats, soups, and lots of Chinese food. This spot used to be KOME and TODAI, so has a custom buffet DIY self-service layout. Parking is easy in the adjacent covered parking lot structure.

Finally we were able to try this buffet place in Daly City. It was a Wednesday early dinner so there was no wait for us. After scouting the area, I went to try some of the rolls but I don't know their names because I didn't see the names. I only tried 2 kinds they were just okay hmm 3/5. Then I also tried their crab salad 3.5/5. Honey walnut shrimps 4/5 Roast Duck 3.5/5 Cook to order beef short ribs 6/5! -this was the highlight for me! Baked mussels- 3.5/5 Salted Egg Buns - 5/5 Steamed Ribs - 2/5 Garlic Abalone - 3/5 Snow Crab - 3/5 it would have been nice if there was butter Desserts- 5/5 The place looked exactly like the old buffet but upgraded. When we were about to leave they were more people coming. Will I go back? Yes :)

My guy and I were on a search for a good seafood buffet while in San Francisco, since we couldn't go to Supreme Crab (see review for details), and found this gem, Daly Buffet. When you walk in, it's very clean, well decorated, and has a cute instagramable wall for pics with your family/friends/date that is just too cute 4.8/5... and they're ready for large crowd, with automated machines ready to dish out numbers. Luckily it was a week day and we stopped in for dinner. The staff is very friendly, and didn't give our service dog any kind. They treated him as the extension of his human that he is, and that's awesome! Also, staff cleaning up and putting out food were quick and if you blinked you'd miss them! 5/5 for service Now on to the food! I'm not quite sure how this place has such a low rating. The sushi was decent and the sashimi served ice cold, I loved the kimchi, raw oysters, and cold mussels 4.6/5 for cold foods. I moved onto the hot foods next and had their green beans, spring rolls, dumplings, chowmein, roasted duck, spicy frog legs, snails, clams, mussels, fried prawns, and hot and sour soup (which was so yummy) & this area was decent but not stellar, I'd rate a 3.5/5. Their desserts and drinks really put this place over the top for me, their unlimited cold jasmine tea was light and flavorful, their Rose mousse cup was surprising in the best way, and the chocolate fountain with marshmallows was just what I needed to top off my meal 4.5/5. Overall, I rate this establishment a 4.5/5

Was happy to learn that an Asian buffet had return to the location. If memory serves correctly it was Todai, MC Skewer and Kome--all of which were buffets. Ever since Kome closed down I was hoping something would return in this post-pandemic era. Enter Daly Buffet. WOOOH!!!! My party of six arrived at 11:00 am on a Friday and it was already packed. A very good sign. Lunch was around $30 and I was thinking it was probably worth it. It was. After our party was sat, this guy made a beeline to the sushi section. The plan was to gobble up enough sushi to get kicked out. Although I ate four plates worth, I was allowed to stay. The sushi was good considering it was all-you-can-eat. I cleared my plate every time. My next visit will focus on hot food. Oh, yeah. Well, maybe a little sushi. Now for the pics...

San Francisco has a void to fill when it comes to large scale buffets. The last one I really remembered was Moonstar in the Civic Center area in San Francisco. They had rows of food like sushi , seafood , chow mein, and lots of deserts. Today's buffet landscape in SF is centered around one type of food and it's usually has a time limit. Currently you have to go out of San Francisco County to try a bigger buffet experience. So I had to go next door to San Mateo County and went to a place which was a buffet place called Kome . It's now called Daly Buffet in Daly City on Junipero Serra. Outside of San Francisco I landed in Daly City at Daly Buffet on the boulevard of Junipero Serra. There are lots of tables and the wait can be 30 minutes when I arrived for lunch. Inside there is hella food. You will find everything from sushi, noodles, ice cream, and dim sum . You can also find different types of fruits and also seafood. They have quantity and the food is fresh but it won't win any Michelin awards. Like most buffets it has a time limit and it's 90 minutes. Come here for Brunch or Dunch if you have an appetite. Come and get some seafood like shrimp , fish , and "clam"which you can make sour with lemon squeezes like you see on TikTok and "Instagram" then try different foods on your plate you try to "cram" like cheesy pizza, steam buns, noodles, sushi also some "lamb" The glory days of the Buffet in SF was a different "era" as they say "que sera sera" the buffets are not as big as the ones located in Lake Tahoe or Reno in " The Sierra" but it's good sized buffet located in Daly City at Daly Buffet on the boulevard of "Junipero Serra"

Compared to most buffets i'm used to, this place def has a lottt of food that I enjoyed. It's better than the buffet who used to be in this place. I went for the lunch pricing of $26. I felt like this was really worth it. They have sushi, a good selection of protein and seafood, fried food, soup, dim sum, and around 6 kinds of dessert. They even have malatang which was a nice plus and the thai spicy soup was flavorful. A little strong but still enjoyable. The eggplant, steamed fish, chicken feet, tuna sushi, hot n sour soup were great! Obviously for a buffet the food won't be perfect so it was good for what it was. The vibe inside is busy and the tables are pretty filled even on weekdays but they have a lot of tables as it's huge inside.

This place doesn't take reservations so if you're planning a weekend visit, show up at least 30 minutes before opening. People start lining up early and it fills up fast. The buffet covers a lot of ground. We're talking sushi, salads, dumplings, hotpot, BBQ, Chinese food, desserts, fruit and drinks. There is genuinely something for everyone here which makes it a great spot for big groups or anyone who can never decide what they want to eat. The food is solid, not the most elevated buffet you'll ever have but everything is good and the variety more than makes up for it. You absolutely get your money's worth. Highly recommend for large groups or anyone who just wants options!

I've been here several times with my family before. We usually go here for dinner, but I've been here for lunch once. There's usually a 30 minute wait if you go here during dinner hours, but if you go here for lunch then there's not much of a wait. This buffet has a large variety of food, but they don't always have the same items everyday. Like, I noticed sometimes they have the chocolate fountain and sometimes they don't. The chocolate fountain is actually one of my favorite parts about this buffet, so it's sad on the days it's not there. Other than the chocolate fountain, I do like how they have a drink section with both fountain and bottled drinks and how there's a teppanyaki grill, and noodles section too! I'd recommend this place for dinner! I prefer the dinner hours since they have more seafood items or just more items that I like.

Buffets are always an eat at your own risk ordeal. But for $45/PP it was NOT worth it. I came in on a weekday dinner and MOST of their sushi were left out all day, fresh batch was never remade. Meats were all gone because people kept taking more than allowed. Only thing that was fresh there were fruits and their oysters. Those items kept getting restocked. The soup area was just ok, the broth was VERY salty but better than all the foods that were provided. Skip the dim sum unless u are there during opening so it's fresh. Staff were very attentive on clearing your table. There's a free parking lot near by and bathroom isn't very clean but decent to be used.

Standard buffet. Not spectacular, but does its job to offer a variety of food for everyone! They have an area where you can pick your meat and they bbq it for you, Malatang station, dim sum, seafood, sushi, desserts, soup, fruit, fried food, Chinese food, drinks, ice cream, etc. Some items can be a hit or miss, so maybe get a small sample of each thing you want the first time around. Their meat, fries, and some of the seafood and sushi is good. It can get busy, so you may have to wait. Unless you make reservations especially for a big party! Place is spacious, good amount of seating. Parking in garage. Nice to go once in awhile

First time trying this buffet & I honestly rlly liked it! It's still well maintained inside, the quality of their sushi is pretty good for buffet food. There's a lot of good options to choose from. They also serve hot soup broths. Worth the money if you like buffets!

You pay upfront before being seated, with an automatic 8% service charge. The $26.99 lunch buffet is reasonably priced, especially since a regular meal can easily cost the same. I came with my mom today, and her senior price was $24.49, which is a nice discount. She was satisfied with the food. Food-wise, it's a mixed experience. The hot dishes are mostly either very spicy, heavily fried, or covered in sauce, which tends to mask the natural flavor of the meat, not really my preference. There's also a selection of dim sum, desserts, fruits, and sushi (though I skipped the sushi since it didn't look very appetizing). The drink options are fairly varied, which is a plus. One thing to note: the bathroom floor was very slippery. There was a yellow caution sign, but I do wish they would address the issue more thoroughly rather than just relying on a warning. Overall, it's an okay spot for the price, but the food quality didn't stand out enough for me.

Well, unfortunately, I visited again and this visit warrants removing 2 stars, making my rating a…read moregenerous 3 stars. First off, the service was terrible and the female server tried to cheat us. I came with a family member that is in her nineties and using a walker - the oldest person in the restaurant and clearly a senior. Why does this server, who didn't provide any service mind you except when her boss told her to bus our plates, charge the practically 100 year old lady regular price, rather than the senior price? When I brought this to the server's attention, she did not apologize and her service became even worse, if possible, which leads me to believe the overcharging was on purpose. She finally fixed the check and then proceeded to leave rather than take my payment, pretending to work, so that I had to wait and wait and finally walk up to the front to pay. All during my meal, she was chatting with the two male servers, rather than working, by the way - there's no need to pretend to work now. During this visit, I went on a weekend, which is all day dinner price and not worth it. The seafood items all pretty much tasted not good. The crab was old enough that I couldn't really get any meat after cracking it, and the mussels from the hibachi tasted off. The crawfish was of course the frozen kind, but just not tasty. The fish was decent, but I think it's possible that fish is a lunch item. Dinner is not the way to go because the seafood items are sad and not worth eating, much less paying more for. Dinner is $25.99. In my original review, I thought the weekday lunch buffet was a surprisingly good balance between being extremely affordable and fairly tasty, with just enough variety to outweigh any shortcomings from a slightly tired building. This Chinese buffet is definitely the most affordable one near San Francisco. You can't beat the price. Lunch is the way to go because you get serviceable dim sum (love the molten lava salted egg yolk black bun), freshly made sushi rolls, your usual stir-fry dishes like beef and broccoli (with beef that is actually pretty tender), stir-fried clams, bbq pork, along with a made-to-order Mongolian grill and noodle soup station (although there's only one broth option). Oh and the soft serve ice cream here is actually the best out of any of the buffets I've been to - really tasty and smooth and sweet. All of this for only $18.99 for lunch. You really can't do any better in terms of price. I think everything for lunch was fresh and the seasoning was appropriate. Sometimes with buffets, because they're turning out so much food, the seasoning is either too salty or too bland, but everything tasted fine to me. This server (a different one) was good at removing plates from our table at the right times. The main negative of this restaurant is that the building is clearly old, but everything seemed clean. I think it's important to support affordable, reliable local businesses like this. I've probably tried all of the Chinese buffets near San Francisco and East Bay, and given the low price point of King Sun lunch buffet, I think anyone interested in an affordable mainstay should consider giving lunch a try. Just watch out for the lady server with short hair who might try to cheat you and won't do any work except if her boss tells her to.

We were immediately greeted, and pricing was explained because seating location depended on what we chose to eat: hot pot only, KBBQ only, or both. 1 was $34.99, and for both was an additional $5. We chose KBBQ. After seated, we were presented with food and drink menus, but since drinks were not included, we chose water. We can order up to 8 items, which we did, and while waiting we were directed to the sauce and appetizer/banchan area. I chose broccoli, jap chae, and salad and returned to my table. Someone was already bringing our 8 items. We had several rounds although not always 8 items each time, and eventually we were full. Our favorites were the LA galbi, beef belly, and marinated bulgogi. Some of the meats were a little tough, but that generally happens with the leaner loin beef. Our grill was swapped out multiple times without our asking, and our water cups were promptly topped off throughout the evening. Food was brought out promptly each time by either a person or a robot. Our server was putting on a show; he spoke several languages to us and made jokes, not interfering with our meal but being entertaining. We sat next to the window so were able to look out into the beautiful lagoon as our view. I don't know if there is a time limit, but we were not rushed. All employees were pleasant, not rushing. I don't eat desserts, but my dining partners enjoyed the yogurt from the machine and mango pudding. Our server recommended adding the peanut sauce and peanuts to the yogurt, which was appreciated. We don't have a lot of choices for AYCE, so I will return. I've only been here once before for hot pot and don't always remember that it's here. I saw some of the negative reviews about being rushed or pushy service and am glad I didn't experience this during our dinner.

(I'm going off memory here, so the rice cereal might be incorrect. just order it, you won't regret it!). soft scrambled egg with shrimp and rice this is in the rice plates section on the menu (I had to look it up, I never noticed it before). the sauce was slightly sweet but the meal was completely destroyed. fried chicken I mean; never thought it would be GOOD, but my boyfriend was so adamant about me testing it.. and it's delicious. crispy skin (almost like chips), juicy, flavorful, and with mangtomas sauce!! longsilog my tried and true? ugh, the suka too (vinegar), incredible. garlic rice? always a huge and delicious portion. god I miss it. bangus sisig bang-oose. milkfish for those that don't know. ugh, the jalapeno, tomato, lime!! and the flavor on this? I could marry it. it's also a favorite in the family, so we order this almost every time we see it. the skin? crispy. amazing every time. you're gonna come here for the gambling, but might as well eat some good food while you're here too.

It's clearly a popular spot, and for good reason. The quality of the meats stood out, especially the ribeye, which was flavorful and well-marbled. One of my favorite touches was the self-serve drink fridge in the back, offering a wide, unlimited selection that adds to the overall experience. The broth was rich and satisfying, complementing the ingredients nicely. The atmosphere strikes a great balance--casual and welcoming, with the feel of a classic Chinese hot pot restaurant. It's an easygoing spot that still delivers on quality, making it perfect for a laid-back dinner with family or friends.

The spicy broth was definitely Chinese levels spicy- a little strong, soy milk or another beverage is highly recommended! All the food here was yummy- the shocking standout was the honey prawn shrimp. Our table loved it so much that we ordered three plates. The cucumber salad is also a non hot pot dish that's included in AYCE that we found really enjoyable. No complaints, nothing is wrong with the meat quality or the veggie quality but the broth is not the best IMO. It could be worked on. Love the free ice cream bar that has Asian inspired flavors- my favorite was the red bean and black sesame. The service is quick and the place is clean! Definitely a hit, we all left with our bellies full.

I totally should have skipped delivery and eaten a full meal here!! The food we got to try was mixed. Caesar salad & corn soup, good. The coconut shrimp somehow had no flavor, and the oysters Rockefeller were fine. Our issue was primarily with the service. We were there with two kids under 5. We told them upfront that we wanted to eat quickly given this. Long story short, it took an hour forty minutes to get our entrees. At which point we had to get the food to go. The restaurant after they were asked comped a little, but were not very apologetic about the wait just saying their wait staff were busy. So it seems like they may need to invest in more waiters. This was made all the more frustrating because it was one of my kids birthdays, which we put in our reservation note, but nothing was done to make this in any way feel special or accommodating. Overall, if you are going for the atmosphere and to have dinner, I think it is a nice restaurant given the views. But if you took this away, I would say the food and service are not up to standard.
