"Damn this pizza is fooooiiiinnnnn!" Mars Blackmon may have uttered this statement upon dining here. "DAMNFiNE" certainly is the appropriate name for this wood fired pizza pie joint! A name inspired by a vintage sign that read: "damn fine stuff". The aesthetic, the environment, superb staff, food and beverage menu selections (CHIMAY served in the proper glass!), killer pizza, fabulous dessert - who could ask for more? Even a well-maintained stylish washroom, which is always a welcome touch and says a lot about the ownership/ management attention to detail. Thank you, Stacie for your excellent attentiveness and expert service! Around 10 years ago within the Outer Sunset area, the artisanal hipster revitalization started to take place amongst the old school, Vietnamese, Chinese and Mexican neighborhood establishments. Inspired by remote work, new economy, and generational change, it has become a trendy culinary destination. I dig it, and my daughter keeps me abreast of this phenomenon so we take the trip South across the GGB every now and then to experience this culinary explosion. This was our nightcap after a day of food exploration in the city. I believe Mayor Lurie would be proud. --------------------------------------- "This is, excuse me, a damn fine cup of coffee!" ..... Honestly, the pizza was damn fine. We were able to get seated as a party of 7 around 5:30 on a weekday, but boy do they fill up quickly. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and our waiter was very attentive at water refills and checking in on us. Highlights of the menu were the Pig in the Woods and the Sausage and Sage pizzas. Thin crust pizzas with creative toppings and a perfect crust.... chefs kiss. They offer a variety of accoutrements like ranch, cheese, chili oil, dried chilis, and parmesan which really take the pizzas another step further.

This is one of my top pizza spots in the city! They make an absolutely scrumptious pepperoni pizza, but they also do a great Margherita and other specialty pies if you like to mix things up. The star, their beautiful crust, is fantastic. It's slightly charred, perfectly bouncy, and just delicious. Dare I say... it's the best in the city? This is the kind of place where you'll actually eat every last bite of the crust. They also make a great housemade ranch that's perfect for dipping. Thankfully they have a great wine list too because what's better on this earth than excellent pizza, a spot of ranch, and a crispy glass of wine. Beyond just the pizza being good, this place has so many little things that make it special. When my mom came to visit recently, we ate all over San Francisco and wine country, and at the end of the trip she said the best thing she ate the entire time was the warm olives from here. The menu is on the smaller side, but everything we've had (apparently even the $8 olives?) has been really well executed. I also love the neighborhood and the vibe inside. It's a tiny place that's always buzzing with an interesting mix of all kinds of people. It can feel a little overwhelming if you're looking for a quiet date night, but it's the kind of spot that just feels full of sparkle. The staff have always been really friendly, and it's one of my favorite places to grab a bite to go after a beach day.

This place has a very cool vibe about it. The booze selection looks very respectable. No cheap stuff on the shelf. Service was friendly and attentive. My friend and I shared the burreta and cherries/nectarines salad. It was simple but oh so sublime. It's one of those dishes that I dream about so I'm sure I'll be going back for more. We also shared the pig in the woods pizza. Pizza was made with a sour dough since I can detect a slight tangy note. Soft but crispy crust. Toppings worked well though I wish there's a bit less cheese so I'm sure I'll be requesting for next time. They have their own very large and cool looking wood burning pizza oven. A few people making pizza dough off and on. Fascinating to watch them keep stretching the dough until I can see through the very thin layer.

We've had takeout once or twice, but never dined in because they're always so busy! But we hustled on a weeknight and had an early dinner with the kids. We sat in the back patio which was very nice and spacious. We ordered two pizzas and a pasta. The kids demolished the cheese pizza. WOW we were amazed, perhaps because its thin crust, but whoohoo. win. The adults had the spicy pizza which was very nice. The pasta was tasty but I thought they could have used a different type of pasta? Still good since I love thick and chewy. overall great service, food came out fast and we were in and out!

4.5/5 I finally got the chance to try some of their pizzas! Stopped here after going to stern grove and we were starving. Parking in the neighborhood was fine! Got there at 5:30ish on a Sunday and were able to be seated in their back patio. So cute! The host was lovely and personable, staff were quick and kind! We ordered 2 pizzas and a salad and wow! Their seasonal items are SO fresh. The burrata salad was light, refreshing and so flavorful. The pizzas both were perfect and their gluten free crust held up! A wonderful summer evening, can't wait to go back!

Pizzas were Neopolitan style and the dough was nice and yeasty and chewy and charred. The classic margherita was my favorite and the other pizzas were good. Personally I'm not a fan of pizzas with a lot of different toppings, but they have a lot of really unique combinations.

We really wanted to come here for dinner, but didn't plan ahead to make a reservation. Luckily we we're able to grab a table at 5:30 PM on a weekend, though parking in this area was nearly impossible Food was excellent and service was also very good . We had a great time ! They have a narrow restaurant, but there is also some seating in the back and front patio. We started with the Caesar salad, which was very good and had whole anchovies. My son wanted the meatballs, and the hostess reassured me that it wasn't spicy, despite having jalapeños in it, which was correct. Comes with three super juicy meatballs. The cheesy marinara sauce is also perfect for dipping pizza crust in after . The crispy calamari was also fantastic. Great cocktail, wine, and beer menu. My husband enjoyed his Pilsner draft beer and I thought my spritz was quite refreshing and not too sweet. We couldn't decide between a few pizzas, so definitely over ordered and will be eating some leftovers The Pig in the Blanket - the truffle oil flavored cheese on the pizza was fantastic . We wanted to try the vegan pepperoni out of curiosity. They have a completely vegan pizza with fake cheese. We ended up getting a real cheese pizza with the vegan pepperoni, which was flavorful and did not disappoint. Overall fun spot for dinner ! Make a reservation and come early to search for parking !

4 starts for the ambience and friendly service. It was a second stop for drinks and food. Was able to be seated right away. Interior is beautiful with a view of the wood fire pizza oven. 3 Stars for pizza: Good large portion and flavorful pizzas. But the texture of the dough was chewy and soft. Felt more of a soft bread than a crust. We shared the Allota burrata which had generous amounts of cheese and arugula.

So many pizza places in SF, I can keep up! Met a friend for a 6:30pm res and got sat right by the window. The staff was quick and there was always a constant stream of people doing carry out. Caesar came fast and the pizzas followed soon after - really nice base on these and oven marks. The potato pizza was my favorite of the two - the other one I think lacked a little salt?

One of my favorite spots in the city for pizza! The pies are thin and perfectly charred and crispy. We came on a weekday and was able to snag a spot at the community table without waiting. We did a glass of White House wine and a glass of syrah. Both were delicious, the house wine was refreshing and not too tart while the Syrah wasn't overly dry. Of course the wine paired beautifully with our pie. Went went with the sausage and it was perfection. Savory and delicious, will be back for more solid pizza!

Honestly really happy with my experience at DamnFine pizza. Came with a reservation on a weekend for lunch, and service was great. Crowded so a reservation is clutch. Having been to Flour+Water pizza and other places in the city, I actually thought DamnFine surpassed the others. We ordered two cocktails, a caesar salad, and two pizzas. damnfine spritz was only ok, would get others. The pear cocktail was solid, not too sweet and good flavors. Caesar salad was good. Fresh and crispy veggies + good flavors with the squeeze of lemon The pizza was very good. We got the lil smokey and the acapulco pizzas. We really liked the dough, it had a nice bounce and chewiness despite being light and on the softer sider without being undercooked. Really set the pizza apart from others we've had. Toppings were also very flavorful. Loved the pickled onions and pineapple on the acapulco with contrasting flavor notes. Lil smokey had nice depth to flavor. I wish both were a little spicier, or if i could request more spice but they did have a little hint of heat. Parking is pretty available in the surrounding areas. Would recommend

4.5 stars. Totally in the hype on the pizza. Mushroom dream: light on the sauce, thin crust mixed mushroom. Lil Smokey: more flavorful because of the red sauce, broccolini and chili pairs with the sausage Hot honey: house made? .It was more spicy than sweet and it will grow on you the more you have. Get both pizzas for a balance between the two. It was difficult to hear because it was a loud in there. Water was provided to each table, it was difficult to get our severs attention. One large table for 4-6 in the back, high table in the middle with tables of 2-4 on the sides. Outside dining was full on sunny night.

Any HAPPY HOUR info? Nothing on website or photos.

    Nope no happy hour

Do you have gluten free pizza or gluten free pasta? Thx

The menu doesn't show any GF pizza or pasta.

    Do they Take reservations?

    Is there a kids menu?

No. They have pizza! What kid doesn't eat pizza?

    How big are the pizzas?

    14"

If I'm driving from South San Francisco is parking impossible? 😊😁

Depends on the day/time. It's residential street parking so on Fridays and Saturdays it may be more tough to find parking vs weekdays. It took me about 7 min to find street parking 3 blocks away on a Sunday around 645pm.

There is a nice selection off the main menu for Happy Hour 4-6pm. Providing an opportunity to sample one or more of the menu items as an appetizer. I chose the mussels with garlic bread, as good ones are not found easily. The portion was quite ample, and the sauce I dipped my nice crunchy garlic bread in was very flavorful, warm and delicious. I also tried the plantains which were cooked perfectly; not too mushy with a perfect char, and the sweet onions on top were also tasty. Paired with a very tangy dipping sauce. All the flavors came together well. My husband ordered the Cantina burger which he enjoyed down to the last bite. Our daughter also sampled off the smaller menu with Lomo Empanadas and the Chicharron de Pollo which she reported were both very nicely prepared. Will, our server gave us excellent recommendations which we availed ourselves of. The bill for 4 items plus the burger, a side of rice, and a ginger beer came to just under seventy dollars, which was a reasonable price. I would definitely give the food five stars, and the restaurant four as it's a long and lengthy bar with a few tables for two. The majority of the seating is in the back with two flat screens and an open kitchen. I can imagine how loud this place can get. We went at the perfect time: not a lot of customers so we received excellent individualized service from Will. I would hope to be able to return next time we visit GG Park and sample some more menu items like the Peruvian Paella which sounded very promising.
