What a great neighborhood gem. Been wanting to come after the restaurant caught my attention earlier this year. Finally got the opportunity this morning while running an errand in the neighborhood. Ordering process - either kiosk or at the counter. We used the kiosk. Ordered- * hubby had the huevos motulenos - very substantial Mexican breakfast item. * I had the French toast. Yummy. A Mexican spin on it. * he had a drip coffee- said very good. * I had an espresso Mayan mocha - excellent The restaurant dining room layout is L shaped. Plenty of natural lighting. You need the door code to gain access to the all gender bathroom. There was a slight wait for our food. But was worth it. Self water station. Flatware brought out later. Tuesdays and Wednesdays they've got specials. Tuesday is a taco special and Wednesday is a chicken wing special. I plan to return and try other Mexican influenced food.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I stopped by La Linda for lunch and decided to try their special--three pork tacos featured on the poster outside (beer, tacos and live DJ on May 5). They were delicious and came with a habanero sauce on the side that added a great kick. The DJ spinning music gave the whole place a fun, festive vibe, which made the experience even better. The cashier was very friendly when I was ordering and took the time to explain each taco, which I really appreciated. There's also the option to scan and order from your phone or use a kiosk, which is convenient. During my meal, the cashier even stopped by twice to check on how everything was--I really liked that personal touch. My passionfruit drink was excellent--refreshing, vibrant, and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cashier also mentioned they're on social media--Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok--so feel free to show them some love, especially since they're a new spot. One small note: after I took a short break between tacos, the last one got a bit soggy. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and I'm looking forward to coming back to try more items from their menu next time.

I've been here a couple of times. The food and service are excellent! You order at the counter and then then bring your order to you. The staff has been friendly and we've never been rushed out. It's a great place to visit with friends over a meal.

This spot is a great place for a solid breakfast. The bagel sandwich was good but nothing fancy. I really loved the smoothie which I saw a video about!! Would love to come back and try more of their menu. I did a to go order which was ready promptly (10-15 after ordering).

TLDR: A cute little cafe for a simple breakfast, lunch or light dinner with Foccacia or bagel sandwiches, salads, fish tacos, pasta and more.. A little bit of everything.. Extensive beverage menu with wine too! Friendly service, casual calm sit down vibe. A nice relatively quiet place to hang out with some Latin music over the speakers. Order at the counter or kiosk and the servers will bring your order right to your table. Nice heavy quality silverware and plates! For my visit, I ordered the... Chicken Mix Sandwich Lots of Chopped white meat chicken mixed in a mildly sweet mayo-infused house sauce that is pretty tasty. Also riding along is lettuce, slices of tomato and avocado, All of this is served between two slices of fluffy soft toasted focaccia bun that was perfect! With the sandwich, you also get a side salad of fresh mixed greens with heirloom looking cherry tomatoes in a light mildly sweet vinaigrette. That was really good too (4.5/5) I look forward to coming back soon to try some of their Mexican offerings, especially that Breakfast Burrito (served all day! Hooray!) Superb access via Muni L Taraval streetcar line which stops right out in front. Parking is actually achievable in this part of the City. Just circle the block.. or walk/bike!

Cute breakfast place that just opened up a month ago on Taraval. My friend and I were the only patrons on a weekday morning around 9:30 a.m. We were immediately greeted by the friendly cashier/server at the counter. He explained the menu to us and told us his favorites. My friend got the lechon omelette and I got the chilaquiles. We both enjoyed our dishes. My friend also really liked her honey cinnamon latte. Parking is a bit of pain in this area but overall a good experience and happy to see a new restaurant open in the area.

Went in this early evening on a date with my toddler. The space is bright, clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back with some adults to try more things but wanted something small and shareable with my toddler so we got nachos with cochinita and a smoothie (verde - spacing on the name). The chips tasted homemade and the toppings were delicious and evenly spread. The cochinita was juicy and flavorful. The smoothie also was a hit with my 2.5 yo. Look forward to heading back to this neighborhood spot.

Food is amazing. I've been here 3 or 4 times and everything I've ordered has been excellent. I especially like the chilaquiles for breakfast. The coffee is great and they have specialty coffee and smoothies. The staff are wonderful - total stars!! It's bright and airy with lots of light. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could.

    Chipotle tamrid wings

Wings are super wet, not even crispy. The wings are drenched in the sauce making the wings very soggy. They shouldve cooked or fried the wings more to not make it soggy. The wings dont even look like the wings that are on the menu. The wings on the menu look so different compared to what i was given. Im very disappointed and wish i can just get my money back. Im not even going to finish this.

    Smoothie's La linda

The food is amazing I recommend this restaurant. The smoothie's are delicious and refreshing. The margaritas made with agave wine are delicious too

This Spanish/Mexican restaurant is simply EXCEPTIONAL. It's located across from the Post Office in Walnut Creek, just a short distance from the swanky North Main Street restaurant and bar scene. "Ezkina" is Basque for the Spanish word "esquina" which means "corner," and you can spot the difference the minute you walk in: real cotton/linen napkins on every table - none of the polyester or paper nonsense. Order a drink. Every cocktail is top-of-the-line. My wife had a margarita, and I had a Manhattan. Did the bartender go to Harvard's Bar Tender's School? We savored every sip. We enjoy trying new dishes, so this time I had the Chicken Mole De La Casa, and my wife had the Huitlacoche Stuffed Chicken (Huitlacoche adds sort of a smoky, woody, mushroom, and black truffle taste to the dish). Both were out-of-this-world delicious. AND, as a surprise, they offered an off-menu dessert: Carajillo Bread Pudding (a rich spiked bread pudding with notes of coffee and Licor 43 topped with vanilla ice cream). So the next time you're heading to the Post Office, bring a thirst for something new and visit Ezkina... there's a ton of free parking behind the restaurant. Main Street eat your heart out.

This place popped up, and once we parked, we realized it was right by the farmers market... so clearly we had made the right choice. We got there right when they opened, so no wait, and grabbed a table inside near their very pretty bar. I had already stalked the menu a bit and had my order figured out for both of us: pistachio pancakes and the chicken mole breakfast tacos. And honestly, both were excellent and exactly what we needed after a wedding the night before involving a few (too many?) cocktails. The pistachio pancakes were delicious, but DO NOT skip the syrupp. I'm pretty sure there's cardamom in it, and whatever they're doing, it takes the pancakes to another level. And the chicken mole breakfast tacos? I've never actually seen mole incorporated into a breakfast taco before, but it totally works. A little unusual, very flavorful, and definitely not your standard breakfast taco. Hubby also wants to add that the coffee was very good!

Because of timing for other errands we came at 10:30 am and they were open on time and ready. Sitting outside or inside is amazing, outside you get the crowd and the sun. Inside you get amazing interior design. My overall feedback is this is one of the rare "fancy" Mexican places that justify the price and justification. Everything is above average in taste and execution. Brunch Tacos mole: chicken mole poblano, scrambled eggs, huitlacoche, tortillas, epazote crema, fried shallots & avocado. Perfect portioning and the salad that came with it had a fantastic dressing. I pulled some chicken out and gave it to my wife and then it was perfect, a bit too overstuff before. The mole and overall taste were quite good though. Chilaquiles: tortilla chips sautéed in chile de árbol-guajillo salsa, topped with queso fresco, cilantro crema, and an egg. My wife loved this so much it made her question every time she didn't order it before. Fried egg sandwich: two over easy eggs on house baked brioche bun, chipotle aioli, avocado, bacon, cheddar cheese, fried shallot. Kids loved this and happily ate the leftover after. Iced Mexican Cafe: delicious iced coffee with a distinct Mexican taste. Distrito Verde: mezcal, basil, lemon, and falernum. Simple but refreshing brunch cocktail, really paired well with the mole tacos. Chips and salsa: These are not free but worth the price. Both the chips and the 2 salsa are of extremely good quality and preparation. Abnormally tasty and the kids went crazy eating it.

With over 900 reviews, I had high hopes--and I'm glad to say my meal delivered. Food (4.5 stars) + The two-taco combo (about $13) was a win for me. I chose carnitas and adobada (that saucy red mole-like one!). The adobada was rich, flavorful, and unique, while the carnitas, although a bit dry, had a nice smokiness. The sweet bite of the onions really balanced the tacos--maybe a touch more cilantro and onions next time. + Kat's carnitas burrito was bright red and juicy (I found it perfect, even if she thought it was a tad dry). I think they put some similar yummy sauce as the adobada. Generous portion, meaty, and delicious. + Will's carne asada quesadillas were cheesy and tender. He found them bland, but I thought they were fine. Plus, the generous guac portion (even if it needed a squeeze of lime) was a nice touch. + The salsa bar deserves a shout-out. Mixing the spicy corn-bean blend with hot salsa and pico de gallo? That's a flavor bomb right there. - Carne asada nachos, while generous, fell flat. There was also quite a generous portion of guacamole along with sour cream. My only complaint is the meat lacked that smokiness or char of most asadas. It felt bland--almost taste boiled. I took the meat home to doctor it up! Service/Ambiance (4 stars) + I put this under service because I'm a fan of the unexpected and getting chips with our meal was a nice touch. Bonus Star! ~ You order at the counter, grab your own drinks. Staff were minimal but efficient enough for what it was. It's casual--not full service, but they get the job done. ~ Ambiance is simple--nothing fancy. You've got a salsa bar, a drink station, and it's very much a "grab a table" kind of place. Overall, for a quick, affordable sit-down Mexican spot, it hit the spot for me. My friends rated it 3.5 stars, but I loved it. I'd come back for the carnitas burrito and salsa bar alone!

My wife is Latina, so we're pretty familiar with authentic Latin/Mexican flavors, and from the moment we walked in, we were a little unsure of what to expect. We completely understand we're in Willow Glen and that Copita is going for a more upscale take, but for us, authenticity and flavor still have to be at the heart of the experience. Our waitress was very friendly and polite, and this review is absolutely not a reflection of her service. However, when we asked about the style of the food, there seemed to be a little hesitation in explaining it, which made us even more uncertain about what we had gotten ourselves into. I don't like bashing restaurants or their food, so I'll simply say that, unfortunately, the highlight of our meal was the chips and salsa. The cocktails, on the other hand, were good and definitely not shy on the alcohol! Also, don't expect large portions. The restaurant is clearly aiming for a more upscale presentation and experience, so the plates reflect that. Overall, Copita just wasn't for us. This was our first visit and unfortunately will probably be our last. I genuinely wish them success, but I think a few changes, especially when it comes to the flavors and authenticity of the food could make a big difference.
