I went with a couple of friends before heading to the beach, which the restaurant is conveniently near. I got the Chilaquiles Burrito with chicken, Inside was fried corn tortilla, salsa verde, two eggs, monterrey cheese, sour cream, cilantro onions, refried black beans and queso fresco. The chicken was tender and spiced well and the fried corn tortilla added a much welcomed crunch and saltiness. The cheese was smooth and creamy while the onions, eggs, black beans and queso fresco created a delicious, savory blend. The burrito was the perfect temperature and was washed down with a iced Americano. The coffee had strong but smooth flavor. The service was fast, friendly and attentive. Finally got a chance to visit La Linda. Arrived at around noon on Saturday and there were a few tables open. Kiddo and I both ordered the Mayan Mocha - good and not too sweet. Kiddo ordered the acai bowl. She liked both the fruit and the acai. There were a few things I wanted to try but decided on the Tilapia w/ zucchini noodles - appreciated that they had low carb options. The bowl looks small but quite filling. The noodles were well flavored and paired well with the fish. A table next to us ordered tacos which looked very appetizing as well. Something I'd like to return to try. What a great neighborhood gem. Been wanting to come after the restaurant caught my attention earlier this year. Finally got the opportunity this morning while running an errand in the neighborhood. Ordering process - either kiosk or at the counter. We used the kiosk. Ordered- * hubby had the huevos motulenos - very substantial Mexican breakfast item. * I had the French toast. Yummy. A Mexican spin on it. * he had a drip coffee- said very good. * I had an espresso Mayan mocha - excellent The restaurant dining room layout is L shaped. Plenty of natural lighting. You need the door code to gain access to the all gender bathroom. There was a slight wait for our food. But was worth it. Self water station. Flatware brought out later. Tuesdays and Wednesdays they've got specials. Tuesday is a taco special and Wednesday is a chicken wing special. I plan to return and try other Mexican influenced food. read more

Happy Cinco de Mayo! I stopped by La Linda for lunch and decided to try their special--three pork tacos featured on the poster outside (beer, tacos and live DJ on May 5). They were delicious and came with a habanero sauce on the side that added a great kick. The DJ spinning music gave the whole place a fun, festive vibe, which made the experience even better. The cashier was very friendly when I was ordering and took the time to explain each taco, which I really appreciated. There's also the option to scan and order from your phone or use a kiosk, which is convenient. During my meal, the cashier even stopped by twice to check on how everything was--I really liked that personal touch. My passionfruit drink was excellent--refreshing, vibrant, and easily one of my favorite parts of the meal. The cashier also mentioned they're on social media--Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok--so feel free to show them some love, especially since they're a new spot. One small note: after I took a short break between tacos, the last one got a bit soggy. Cute breakfast place that just opened up a month ago on Taraval. My friend and I were the only patrons on a weekday morning around 9:30 a.m. We were immediately greeted by the friendly cashier/server at the counter. He explained the menu to us and told us his favorites. My friend got the lechon omelette and I got the chilaquiles. We both enjoyed our dishes. My friend also really liked her honey cinnamon latte. Went in this early evening on a date with my toddler. The space is bright, clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'll definitely be back with some adults to try more things but wanted something small and shareable with my toddler so we got nachos with cochinita and a smoothie (verde - spacing on the name). The chips tasted homemade and the toppings were delicious and evenly spread. The cochinita was juicy and flavorful. The smoothie also was a hit with my 2.5 yo. My father loved his pork belly dish and the shrimp Calabrian was excellent (I'm hoping next time to see if it can be served over rice; the sauce is too good to leave even a drop on the plate) The real surprise were the fish tacos. My sister and I immediately fell in love with the silky refried black beans and pretty much ignored the aioli (BIG mistake) and couldn't quite put our finger on the floral herb (it didn't taste like cilantro). Having enjoyed the other dishes so much, we thought nothing of it until I tried my taco (we shared) WITH the aioli. And WOW... The aioli bridged all the unique flavors creating a symphony of taste unlike any other fish taco I've tried. Highly recommend for the food, freshness, cleanliness, speed of service. The huevos motuleños were very satisfying, but everyone kept stealing my maduros. 3 leches concha is a fun twist on French toast, and comes with lots of fruit. The food is good. BUT I will say something that turned us off was the price! It's a fancy restaurant disguised as fast casual. The service was great, fast. There was obviously a lot of love put into the preparation. But we paid $50 for a breakfast burrito, chilaquiles and a coffee. And the chilaquiles didn't even have any meat. Burger was standard for a concession stand and lacking flavor. Crepe was pretty good. Next day picked up chilaquiles verde and a smoothie to go.
