Dandelion Hair Studio & Apothecary is BY FAR the best, most down to earth, comfy sweet spot for all your hair care needs. The second you step into this oasis (yes and I mean oasis), your spirits are INSTANTLY lifted by all the surrounding extravagant plant life, aromatherapeutic diffused air, bohemian décor and warm smiling faces greeting you. They offer everything from complimentary herbal teas and made-to-order essential oils to highlights and hair removal. Are you an early bird? No problem! They offer a very chic, cozy, eclectic subterranean waiting room (NOT AREA) where you can utilize a foot massaging machine and tune into whatever tv program that helps you relax. But don't get too cozy down there because they never over book or leave you waiting past your appointment time which is one consideration I enjoy and respect the most. They have respect for their client's time and are very punctual. Aubrey (IG: @hair_brained) is the stylist I chose to care for my daughter and I hair. She listens to your concerns and thoroughly explains how to care for your hair after your appointment to promote healthy hair growth. I am living proof and I can TESTIFY (yes, I went there) that my hair is now growing healthy and strong! I am 100% natural and use zero heat on my hair. She has managed to resurrect my curls back from the dead in 3 months time with SIGNIFICANT length to show for it! I personally get the Awapuhi Wild Ginger Keratriplex Treatment with steam and a trim every 6 weeks and BABY LEMME TELL YOU, THIS IS IT!!!! She also does an amazing job with waxing my brows and listens to my feelings when I need a ear (not included, lol). I cannot thank Aubrey and Dandelion Hair Studio enough for what they brought back into my life. I feel more beautiful and most importantly, the results are REAL!

I would give A-List beauty no stars if I could. I hired them for hair and makeup for my wedding…read more The trial could not have gone worse. It. Was. A. Joke. A lot of these places have you pay a significant amount of money to do a trial (like $500) because it creates a psychological motivation to continue to do business with them (the sunk cost fallacy). Ladies do not be victim to this- even if you paid $500 and the trial goes poorly, do not give them more money! I paid the non refundable deposit to Ariel Lewis, and gladly paid another company $1,500 just to not look (and more importantly FEEL) like I did after my trial with A-List. The other company was professional, kind, used actual beauty products (see below), let me watch what they were doing, and were friendly. Find a company that works with you for your big day. Not works you for the paycheck. Hopefully this will save you the $500 trial with A-List: Let's start with hair. The biggest red flag was that she wouldn't let me watch while she was doing my hair so that I could be "surprised" - I was surprised all right. She admitted to me she had not looked at the inspo pics they asked me to send in, and asked to see them. She looked at the first one and said "K I got it." She didn't have it, because what was created was a departure from my looks. It wasn't a terrible style if it had been done well. I mentioned concern about the longevity of the look day of, and she said confidently it would last even though I could feel the pins slipping. I said repeatedly my hair texture is fine and doesn't hold curl. She said "Not the way I curl" and then put wax in it to "help." Everyone with fine hair knows wax weighs it down. It did not last. Not even through 90 min minutes of sitting still and getting makeup done (much less a whole wedding...). My trial was done at 11:30am and by 1:30pm my hair had fallen out of the bun into the two sad looped pony tails she had used to create the look, and was in straight tendrils around my face. Not a curl in sight. Even the initial finished looked was frizzy and you could obviously see pins. The best part was that the A-List makeup trial was after hair and she came in and asked "what time my hair trial was?" hahah. "Oh you couldn't tell it just happened? Your teammate just gave me an updo, obviously!" Lol Next was makeup. Ladies. They used E.L.F products. Correct- the products you buy for your nieces and occasionally find at the dollar store. I get it, this isn't the main event, it's just the trial so maybe they use different products day of? If so, that negates the purpose of the trial... I want to have my shades matched and confirmed which is part of the trial one would think. I paid for airbrush makeup- she did zero prep the skin. She pulled the machine out and started spraying- didn't even pin my face framing hair pieces back so there was a distinct line not blended around my face where my hair had been. The airbrush went on cakey and flakey and actually aged me about 10 years. It's not for every skin type so that's part of it, but at least try and prep the skin. I sent Hailey Bieber natural dewey inspo and she did old church lady rosy pink cheeks I am not kidding. Bright. Pink. And round. I looked like a toy soldier, even after I asked her to keep blending. The whole thing was a joke. It also didn't last despite paying for airbrush- which I was grateful for because I would not have gone out looking like that. When I reached out to Ariel Lewis to tell them I would not be using them for my wedding and talk about how disappointed I was, I was intercepted by an admin. Interestingly, I didn't ask for a refund but the very first thing the admin said when I said I wouldn't be moving forward was that I wouldn't get a refund. This exchange told me a lot about how they do business and their priorities. I asked to speak to Ariel to provide feedback. I never heard from her. Guess it's on me to keep reaching out? I was then told I could do the trial again with the same artists. Nah I'm good... If it were my business with my name on it- I would be embarrassed by this. Pics below of hair. I didn't want my face out there on the internet so I didn't post makeup. So- ladies, save yourself the money with A-List. Unless you want a good laugh- My Maid of Honor was there and we still get out the "after" pictures so we can have a good chuckle over wine. I hope this saves another bride the stress and money I wasted on the A-List.

Very POOR Customer Service. Extremely POOR communication. Why does a company refuse to list itself…read moreon Google? So they can avoid all the negative reviews. So it's not a surprise that A-List has no Google listing and minimal reviews available... do the math. It doesn't add up to a reliable and professionally behaving company.

Of course, I was immediately shocked - not just because she picked up the phone but she was courteous, kind and very patient to answer all my questions! My experience so far has been wonderful! Absolutely horrible experience! I never write reviews and surely never want to put anyone down,…read morehowever I left in tears so I NEED to be let people know. I had Joey do my hair and not only did he blow dry my hair extremely loose and lazy , he starts flat ironing my hair as it is still WET! I had to ask him twice to blow dry the back a little more after he sizzled the back of my scalp. Now most people would have gotten up & left at that point, but I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt to finish and do better. BAD IDEA he burned me the entire sitting over and over again. I literally had to get up and walk to the bathroom twice to keep myself from crying and or throwing the wine glass they gave me as complimentary. My scalp burned so bad the entire time and i was miserable. Finally after he was "done" he takes a pomade stick and puts in all over my edges and combs it through the front of my hair. Keep in mind he didn't touch the my edges with any heat not even the blow dryer saying he's about to give me some "baby hairs". I looked like a grease monkey leaving the shop and by the time I got home all the grease soaked into my edges and turned into a puff ball. I had to wash my hair and do it again myself. DO NOT GO TO THIS MAN! (ONLY reason i rated 1 star is because 0 isn't an option)

I show her a reference photo and what she does with my hair is always a million times more perfect than the photo it started with. She is so skilled at everything color and hair-related and on top of that, she is so freaking friendly and always has me cracking up in the chair. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Jasmyn and I am so glad I found her! Kristen, the owner and also a stylist, is so sweet and friendly. Every time I come in, she's the first to greet me and immediately makes me feel super comfortable, like I'm at a friend's house instead of a storefront. This is all due to Jasmyn's handiwork, but I've never left Bella without 100 compliments from the staff and patrons. Whether I need a quick trim or I want to completely change my look, Bella is the only salon I'll trust!

I'm with Suzanne V…read more I purchased a Groupon to try out a new procedure and I'm really excited that they offer it but no one seems to know what's going on besides the owner. I was told by 3 different people that the owner would call but I've not gotten a call yet. They seem to do okay with regular paying customers. Is anyone else who used a Groupon having the same issue??? I hope I like this experience once they do call. Again, as Suzanne said, I'm requesting a refund if they don't.

It's true, I also had my appointment rescheduled at the request of the salon, but honestly, the…read moreservice I got while I was there MORE than made up for the slight scheduling gaffe. And here's what it boils down to: Anthony is an artist. He gave me, quite literally, the best color of my life. I purchased the Groupon for partial highlights and a cut, and made it to my rescheduled appointment on a Saturday. I explained to Anthony that I wanted extremely natural, thin, sparse highlights, and a trim and reshaping. "No skunk streaks!!" I begged. Man did he deliver. He applied the highlights, rocked the shampoo and massage, and then started blowing out my hair. He'd advised early on he planned to cut me dry. I was highly skeptical, but let him do his thing. As he blew out the sections, the strands started to shine and revealed gorgeous, subtle, sparkling highlights. The dry cut was one of the most enjoyable cuts I've ever experienced: with each slice and snip, I could watch my hair would bounce into a fresh, beautiful new shape. Could they improve their scheduling process? Yes, but I can't warrant knocking a star off for that. Hands-down the best highlights I've ever gotten in the years I've been at it, and darn close to one of the best cuts. Highly recommended.
