    Fried dumplings
    shari h.

These guys were doing their things. Friendly and quick. Unfortunately, they did not have the double fried chicken wings. So, the front counter gentleman recommended fried dumplings inlieu of the wings. Thanks for the recommendation!! We added the sesame noodles as well.

Sparkman wharf is a super lively area that I love going to on the regular. I've been to this place a couple times and it's not the tastiest, but it fills you up and probably one of the better options there. Honestly, it's pretty reasonably priced for the area. I've gotten the udon noodles for $11 and the dumplings for $10. Their food tastes very Americanized. More sweet than typical Asian food, not as spicy, and just lacks authentic flavors. But honestly, when I go there I'm not expecting a lot. It's solid for what it is

We just so happened to find incredible Asian street food by Dang Dude overlooking gorgeous water views at Sparkman Wharf! Everything was so fresh and delicious with phenomenal service! We will absolutely be back! We rode the free trolley but there was plenty of parking available in the nearby decks! Been around this area a few times now and kept passing on Dang Dude as I just wasn't in the mood for their option quite yet. This time around it sounded good and I'm glad I tried them out! I ordered the Kimchi Chicken bowl and it was the perfect portion! Lite on the stomach but still filling. Flavors were good very lite heat and a creamy yum yum sauce top it off. Service is simple order wait and eat. They will call out your name when it's ready. This is a Togo only location but plenty of space and seats around for the most part. High traffic area. I will be coming back to try some other menu items!

We were recently meeting friends at Sparkman Wharf and settled upon this booth to get our meals from. My husband and I both got the yaki udon stir-fried noodles with their lemongrass chili chicken, which was especially nice. We'd definitely order this again. Likely with some bubble tea next time.

    Brown sugar chili rubbed wings

I had Dang Dude yesterday. I'd give it a solid 4 stars. I got the brown sugar chili rubbed wings and the fried dumplings. The wings were fried very crispy, but despite there being a lot of seasoning on the wings, they didn't have that much flavor. I was also expecting them to be sweet and savory but they weren't sweet at all, surprisingly. There dumplings were pretty good, fried well. There is some topping they put on them that has a flavor I wasn't a fan of, but overall they were decent. The service was great, even though they were out of all of the proteins except steak, so I couldn't get the bao buns. The ambiance at Sparkman is so nice and relaxing. Being by the water on a nice sunny day has a way of making you feel like all is right with the world!

After waking around the area, Dang Dude had the tastiest looking menu and the staff was super nice. Our food took some time to come out, but that only told me that our food was made to order and not sitting around to be reheated. Everything I've ordered here has had a lot of flavor. It's also really nice to sit outside along the water with the pretty views. It's a bit pricey, but the food matches with quality. Absolutely recommend you trying this spot.

The only options available during my visit were dumplings so I opted for the fried and steamed vegetable dumplings. These dumplings were good, the service was good and the ambiance was great. The Christmas lights are up @ Channelside. The menu here has way more than dumplings so stop by and try them out.

    Korean Style BBQ Pork Bun

Yuck seriously I was at Sparkman's Wharf for a dog festival and wanted a snack. I decided to stop by here to order this Korean Style BBQ Pork Bun which was described as with Pickled cucumbers, lemongrass hoisin. I didn't taste that whatsoever. There is no pickled cucumbers either to give it some flavor. My dog eats 500% better than this. It was also sitting there for a bit, and I didn't want something cold on a cold day. It def wasn't good at all. Service wasn't good either. What a waste!

Cool spot on Sparkman Wharf - that delivered some pretty good fried pork dumplings. I would go back to try others menu items.

Had a good lunch before heading to the airport after a conference. The dumplings were great and the noodle salad was delicious. I got a bit more heat than I was going for, but enjoyed my food regardless!

Korean style BBQ pork bun and strawberry lychee fruit tea

I can't really say much when only have tried one food item. However, from trying their Korean BBQ pork bun, which is a little salty and average , I wouldn't expect much. Their seasonal strawberry lychee tea was good and refreshing!

Was expecting more , i absolutely love dumplings but these were a miss. The filling was a bit mushy like bean texture. The sauce the put ontop was ok. But i wouldn't get these again. The drink was ok as well but tasted watery. The dumplings were on sale when i visited 4 for $2 but normally it's 5 for $8

I also had to try the Italian Beef, served on a fresh French roll piled with tender, juicy beef and hot giardiniera. I spent six years working in Chicago, and Paulie is turning out Chicago classics that rival some of the best I had there. He's ranked #6 on Yelp's Top 100 Sandwich Shops for a reason. The first time I came was right after that article, and there were about 50 people in line, so I left. This Saturday I stopped by at around noon, and I was third in line. WARNING: do not be in a rush! Your food is not coming out quickly. Paulie is a sweetheart, but he is a one-man show, and he likes to chat and get to know all his customers. They currently do not carry the full menu they show online, so I went with a Chicago hot dog, and the Italian beef sandwich. Paulie educated me a bit on the sandwich; if I wanted it juicy (with the sauce already on it) or on the side to dip into (yes, please, I'm a dipper), and how spicy I wanted it (more peppers, less peppers). After a nice chat with Paulie about politics, I headed home and dug in. The Chicago hot dog was perfect, although I had to remove the hot peppers. The sandwich was outstanding; the beef so tender, the peppers and onions adding depth, and the roll was so soft-I could only eat half, but the other half heated up nicely for dinner. Can't wait to go back!
