Called Mr. Fish up to have a pipe unplugged in my business in Camarillo. The process was pretty painless to start out. Mr. Fish called the first time to advise me that he would have to take some pipe loose to better access the work area (more $$). That was odd to me because if you're going into a "business" you're not going not have the perfect circumstances to start with, the cost was already on the high side. That being said no big deal let's get it done, right? The next call I get from the panicked Mr. Fish was to inform me that he would have to take the sink out which wasn't a big deal but he was freaking out about how hard this job was and how the crap from the pipes was getting all over him and "This is the worse I have ever seen" bla bla bla! OK?! So... get it done! He calls again to let me know the job was done and again to pump up the fact that "The job was BAD!" I guess to hit me with a $325.00 bill. He then proceeds to tell my employee that he's done and walks out. My employee walks back to find a HUGE mess all over the walls and floor. Mr. Fish left two water lines un-attached that caused even more water damage when turned on and did not place the drains to the air conditioner and reverse osmosis back into the drain he had taken apart, again more water where it didn't belong. When I called Mr. Fish to tell him how unhappy I was with his unprofessional work he blamed me for not being there to supervise him. He also said that he had asked my employee if everything was good before he left which in fact he did not. He did not offer to come back to clean up nor did he offer compensation for my employees cleaning up his fiasco. I would NEVER use this guy EVER again. Don't walk, run from this company. read more

I searched online for a local plumber to fix a "leak" that was found during a home inspection. With my home being in escrow, I wanted to get it taken care of as fast as possible. I started reading the many reviews of Daniel Fish Plumbing and decided that I would contact him as soon as he was open for business. I told Daniel the inspector said I had a leak and Daniel was at my home 90 minutes later. Daniel was able to determine what the problem was right off the bat and I was shocked at what he told me. I recently had another plumber replace the fixtures in my tub/shower as well as the drain. Daniel told me the previous plumber failed to attach the drain to the pipe. Meaning, each time I was taking a shower or draining the tub, the water was just flowing freely under my house. This had been going on for about two months. Needless to say, I was a bit miffed. Daniel assured me he could fix the issue and have it up and running in no time, and he was right! Though Daniel had to correct a couple mistakes the previous plumber made with the drain and the pipe, he was able to fix it in less time than it will take me to finish this review. Daniel explained everything to me and made me feel at ease. He understood the stress I felt being very close to the end of escrow. He was friendly and professional and made me laugh and relax during the repair. I feel a little sad that I will now be leaving the area and losing the services of a plumber with Daniel's experience and his commitment to getting the job done right. Recently I was helping a friend locate a plumber to solve some issues at her home. My search led me to Daniel and that was a good thing. The problem was slow drainage on one half of the house. The plumbing in this house is over 40 years old and the drain line was cracked and was growing closed. It was determined it would be far better to reroute a new line instead of jack hammering up half of the marble floors and trying to repair the old. Danial gave us an extremely fair price for the job. I knew this because my friend had talked to 10-20 plumbers in the last couple of years and I spoke with several before choosing Daniel. Upon further review it was found that the main sewer line from the street to the house was antiquated also and code would not allow us to join into it. My friend had limited financial resources and doing both jobs at the same time was not in the budget. However Daniel stepped up and agreed to work with me to get both jobs done as economical as possible by allowing me to do some of the non -skilled work. Daniel gave me advice on the things that I needed to do and he fixed several minor unforeseen problems without demanding more money. I hired Daniel Fish Plumbing to replace the 42 year old cast iron pipes in our home. I received several bids from different companies. Daniels bid for the job was excellent and he came highly recommended. We hired him to do the job. He and his crew were on time, respectful of my home, hard working, cleaned the work area, and had the job done before the scheduled finish date. Daniel even saved me $5,000. They had run into footing issues and they were having problem getting the new pipes through. After many conversations of other options the $5,000 more solution was best and I approved it. A couple of hours later I received a phone call from Daniele and he said that they had been working for 2 hours to get the pipes through and it worked! No $5,000 extra! Daniel could have done this job and pocketed the money and I would have never known the difference. Daniel Fish thanks for the great job on my mom's plumbing. Called Daniel for a second opinion on my mother's sewer line. A local Camarillo plumber said he cleared the line, but it was broken and needed to be replaced. Price $2,400.00, but for you $1,600.00...what? Ok, not convinced. Called Daniel after reading many positive reviews. He asked a number of questions, which I answered. Daniel was straightforward and honest, explained what he thought the other plumber had done and not done properly. Explained what he thought needed to be done to correct the problem as quickly as possible and at the lowest cost possible. I paid to have the line inspected with his camera, he explained the process and made sure I was watching. He recommended the roots be cut, which he did. We inspected the line again with the camera, Daniel said that should have done the job and we should be go to go! He was right... Simple, to the point, honest, job done! At 6 am in the morning had an extremely loud and dangerous sounding noise (constant loud high-pitched tone, like pressure buidling up) coming from water heater. Called his business number and he directly picks up. He patiently took the time to walk me through some visual inspection and troubleshooting actions. When we got to a point, got me in touch with manufacturer of water-heater. Not clear which step did the trick, but tone / danger went away and resolved itself. He called back to check on things, just in case. He offered his help, all without charging me for his time. Very positive experience, even offered some words of encouragement. I didn't think it was possible but Daniel Fish is one of the last of a dying breed of service providers who actually care more about the customer than themselves. He was extremely knowledgeable and didn't waste any time finding the problem He wouldn't quit until it was completely fixed; was careful with our home & didn't do anything that wasn't absolutely necessary. Instead of taking advantage of us and charging us an arm & a leg, because it was an emergency, he bent over backwards to be beyond fair. My DFIL was with him the entire time and instead of being annoyed he was cheerful and taught my FIL a lot. My DFIL said he had never seen anyone work so diligently. The OLD controller in the bathroom shower totally pooped out and was just spinning around in a circle. I called Daniel Fish Plumbing and he said they would be out that day. We recently bought a house in Westlake Village and Daniel was hired to repair a broken sewer. He found that the previous company had left the sewer completely open to the ground and why tree roots were growing in there.
