My friend and I went on a Thursday for Ladies Night during Happy Hour, which featured $5 Espresso Martinis, Cosmopolitans, Palomas, and select wines. Each drink was delicious, and the happy hour vibe was perfect. On another Thursday visit, I tried the mussels and dessert. The mussels were excellent, but the dessert was a letdown. For $14, I expected something special, but instead got a hard, crumbly brownie that didn't quite match the "warm brownie with ice cream" description. Had a team dinner with 20 peeps. The server split our orders to help the kitchen. It was difficult to keep up with a large table and drinks. I had the kale salad with shrimp added. Several (at least 10!) had the smash burger and loved it. Steak was not a hit with the three that ordered it. Sides came out late compared to rest of dinner. Overall nice experience. It's hard to serve a large group. Our waiter did his best and had one assistant. We had desserts and the favorite was by far the deconstructed cheesecake. I had the s'more and it tasted like a campfire. The crispy graham cracker crunches were interesting! Have been many times to this location. They definitely need a large party plan. read more

I will pay whatever for good food, but $24 for a basic wedge salad (touted to be entree size) (I paid approximately $9 to add shrimp)... this came with 4 shrimp. Come on. How is this supposed to hold me for dinner. I had also ordered it with dressing on the side and it came with dressing. No biggie, they fixed this error immediately. The calamari was very chewy. My wife and I were visiting from Arizona. Having a dinner out with our son and his new bride. It was recommended to visit Daniels. We all shared with each other, to impress and convince our choices were the best. Before I type out my list of great food. I want it known, that Chef "Mike" Austin is a powerhouse of a chef! Starters Hamachi Aguachile: Great starter, the apple and chile brought back a memory of Mexican candy. The fruit with the chile to follow. Loved it ! Potato Espuma Octopus: The sauce and chorizo, took my appreciation of octopus to an entirely new level! Entrees Smash Burger: When you are not sure of what to order. This classic was a perfect choice. Definitely will feed your craving. Lamb Tasting: Great dish, my favorite part of this was the spice of the sausage. I commented that is was an unexpected "treat". Cornish Hen: With the root beer jus, this was a highly anticipated choice... and delivered big ! Braised Beef Short Ribs: Outstanding choice with red wine braising and the grits pulled everything together. We did have four deserts, took up our spoons and enjoyed them all. We were taking my parents out to dinner and decided to come here since it was new and close to them. Our waitress was friendly but drinks took awhile to come out. My cucumber gimlet drink was very refreshing. My dad got a Manhattan and he said it was ok. My second drink I got an espresso martini and it was a little watered down though. The appetizers were very good. We got the bacon wrapped scallops. They were cooked perfectly and pretty big, and the horseradish sauce was good with them. I thought it was a little pricey for the amount though, it was $18 for only 5 scallops. In a picture on Yelp I saw 9 scallops, maybe the other ones were smaller though I don't know. We also got the bourbon shrimp which was good too , but you only got 5 shrimp. I ordered the crab cakes as my meal. They were ok but they were advertised with jumbo lump crab in it and the meat looked mostly chopped up to me. It was a little on the wet/mushy side as well. It only came with corn on the side as well, I would have liked some kind of starch to make the meal more filling, I was stealing a lot of my husband's potatoes. My husband enjoyed his ribeye, though I felt it was a little salty. We also split the chocolate tort which was a nice finish to the meal, it was rich but small enough to not overstuff us. My Boyfriend and I recently visited this establishment and I have quite a lot to say about it. The things I absolutely loved about this place was the out of the box cocktails they had on their menu. We split a few and all of them were so delicious. The bartender and staff were very pleasant and outgoing. I truly would recommend this place for happy hour cocktails or late night cocktails. The only downfall was we had placed a few appetizers and once we started to eat our third appetizer, my boyfriend noticed what appeared to be a bug crawling around on the plate. I was absolutely mortified, and the bartender immediately took it away and informed the manager. And why the manager was extremely apologetic and comped us for the food that we ordered our drink bill was still upwards to $60. For it being our first time there and having that experience, I'm just not sure we willbe able to make it back. With that being said I still do recommend this place for amazing cocktails and relaxing vibe at the bar. read more

Mixed experience at Daniel's this past week. On the bright side the food was awesome. Everyone enjoyed all of their entrees (really good crab cakes for me) and appetizers (whipped ricotta was great). The interior is also really cool, with classy decor, lots of space, cool bar, and an impressive upstairs event area. The negative came with the service unfortunately. Throughout the meal we were often thirsty as a result of the very small water glasses and busy server, and at the end of the meal, we were somehow charged for the wrong table's check - that is simply not something that should happen at a restaurant, especially on a relatively quiet night. Altogether a solid experience, just wish the service was a bit better. For as expensive as this place is, you expect a bit more than we received. Will probably make it back at some point, just not as eagerly as I might have otherwise. read more

We just had my daughter-in-laws shower at Daniel's this past weekend it was perfect. First, the staff was absolutely the best. Friendly and very attentive to all of our needs. Second, the atmosphere was beautiful. The rustic setting was exactly our taste and the room was the perfect size. And best of all, the food was delicious. We had both the caesar and beet salads, orzo and spinach and pasta with sauce as the sides and a chicken with mozzarella and peppers for the entree. My guests have complimented the food all day. Cannoli's for dessert along with the Italian cookies and cake we brought with us. It was the perfect day to celebrate the upcoming birth of my first grand baby. Great place. Slow service but we wanted to chat anyway. I got an omelette with your choice of toppings. My son got one too. The omelets- egg part-- were really good. The green peppers weren't cooked enough and I absolutely did not even taste the cheddar cheese. There was no salt & pepper on the table. The potatoes that came with the eggs were good, nicely browned & seasoned. I noticed both my son & I had a pile of raw green & red peppers on our plates. Just a few complaints from a veteran omelet eater. The brunch burger was apparently really good. My husband and daughter in law loved it. My other son & daughter in law got a dish I can't pronounce. To start, this place is beautifully decorated and I would love to see it lit up at night with the fireplace on. We went there for lunch today at 12:30 on a Saturday. We were the only people dining for the first 10 min. I was not really happy with the prices on the brunch menu. The only one available was this menu. I was unimpressed by a Avocado toast with a poached egg for $22 and a regular 3 egg dish (not omlette) and hash browns for $18. Want a side of bacon? $6. My dining companion and I ordered a bisquits and seasonal jam to hold us over. Took a while and it was $10 for only 3 biscuits. Very thin mixed berry jam. We requested butter, several times which didn't come for 10 min. We were told that it was being "freshly whipped". Unless they were milking the cow and churning the butter, it shouldn't have taken that long to get butter. Meanwhile, the heated biscuits got cold. The bisquits were undersalted and not worth eating. The only other table was a chatty party of 6-8 people who were say directly next to us (close tables) in an empty restaurant. Another party of 3 came in, but walked out after a few minutes. The waitress took away my utensils when after far to long, by "Baked Eggs" came out. She never returned with new utensils and I had to take them from an empty table. We had to request salt and pepper, neither was on the table. The boiled eggs, really Sharshuka (sp) was served with the tiniest and saddest 2in piece of "broiled" soggy bread. Just the one piece. You kind of need the bread to enjoy the dish. Again, under-salted. It's like ordering dippy eggs and getting toast the size of half of a playing card. They took a long time to come out as well. 3 tiny poached eggs, some Za'tar tomato and a tiny soggy piece of bread for $16. No, ma'am. If they don't do the business and can't serve people promtly in a large restaurant with only 2 parties sat, they shouldn't be open for lunch. I've never tried the dinner menu, so can't comment on that. Maybe good for dinner, but I would not return for over-priced eggs and slow kitchen times. read more

My husband and I consistently enjoy our dining experiences at Daniels in Conshohocken: last Friday's meal was no exception. We started with the mussels served in a decadent wine-butter sauce...mussels were tender and tasty, broth great for dipping bread! My husband had the trout (crispy- delicious skin), and I had the pistachio agnolotti...I thought I'd died and gone to heaven (homemade pasta stuffed with mild blue cheese in a creamy sauce topped with lots of crumbled pistachio nuts - wow! We shared the delicata squash as a side which was loaded with unique flavors...very Autumn-like...we were thrilled, alas, no room for dessert! I feel the need to also point out that Kurt, who runs the restaurant, makes such a great effort to detail: both to restaurant aesthetics and quality of food/customer satisfaction! Love the seasonal menu choices, and First Fridays are lot's of fun with live music and local vendors. A local gem! read more

This place is amazing! To start with, it's simply stunning inside, the attention to detail in the various rooms was the talk of plenty of the conversation... The food was amazing, from the chicken to the burger to the drinks, our cups and plates were a culinary delight!! I also have to mention the staff here is wonderful! And an extra shout out to Collin who really went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly with the food restrictions we had at our table, this man really set the bar on what customer service is all about! Ask for the Mr. Keith Special if you are interested. My favorite drink was Sober, Spice & Everything Nice. All the food was tasty, but the highlights for me were the Milk Bread, Tagliatelle, and Mango Panna Cotta. I don't think I've ever seen milk bread on a menu in America, and the miso honey butter that came with it was very yummy. Stopped in with a group of friends for dinner tonight, we ordered bunch of appetizers they were all delicious. I'm going to recommend the macaroni cheese add the beef, loved the drunken shrimp and do try the truffle fries. We wiped up the drunken sauce with the truffle fries until the plate was cleaned. Smokehouse burger was so yummy my friend finished it in about a minute. I want to recommend the prime rib sandwich served French dip style. What a large tasty sandwich, comes with fires. I was so full and just keep eating it until my plate cleaned off. What a great atmosphere, the Staff was very friendly and accommodating. the food timing was spot on. It was a great atmosphere. My husband and I love this restaurant... The food and cocktails never disappoint! We also love the atmosphere both inside and outside. It is obvious that the manager takes a lot of care into the aesthetic details of his restaurant; but now to more important things... the food! We tried several items from the new Autumn menu and started with the mussels, served in a scrumptious wine-butter broth. Couldn't stop dipping bread into the broth once every last mussel was gone. My husband ordered the trout entree which was both tasty on the inside and crispy on the outside-great choice! I had the pistachio agnolotti, which was one of the most fantastic pasta dishes I have ever eaten. The homemade pasta is stuffed with blue cheese served in a creamy sauce topped with crumbled pistachios...to die for. We shared a side order of the stuffed squash, which was also absolutely delicious and filled with unique flavors. Unfortunately there was no room left for dessert! We went here for their Mother's Day brunch special. It was a brunch buffet and endless mimosas and Bloody Mary's for $45.00 a person. The food was "okay" and there was quite a variety including an omelette bar. The omelette and the breakfast potatoes definitely needed salt, but the rest of the food was seasoned properly. The mimosas were not good at all, I'm not sure what champagne was used but it was extremely bitter. I think for the value, I expected more for $45 per person - especially if you don't drink. Perhaps they should considered lowering the price of brunch and add the cocktails as an additional surcharge for those who want it. All in all, it was okay, but it was Mother's Day. So it was super busy and the meals were made by the mass. The restaurant and the atmosphere is super nice. I will probably go back for dinner at some point and see if it's worthwhile to go back in the future or scratch this spot off my list. read more

My sister and I went on Sunday to have lunch. The bartender was very nice. Prior to my sister joining me, I advised the bartender that she had food allergies and asked if there was onion in the chicken salad. I was told no. When she joined me, we ordered and she ordered the chicken salad wrap and I ordered my food. The bartender came back and said that there WERE onions in the chicken salad. So, my sister ordered a club with no bacon. The bartender immediately advised us that they make no substitutions to their food, unless they had a food allergy. Obviously, she does have a food allergy. There were no further discussions, no manager came out to discuss it with us so we cancelled our order and left. As a newer restaurant in Conshohocken, you really need to be willing to make some concessions for people with food issues. It's a shame, but it's doubtful we'll be back. read more

This restaurant was really great! We went on a Thursday night and it was surprisingly very busy. The ambience was nice inside, the only thing that was frustrating is that we made a reservation on OpenTable for outside, and the restaurant said they were only seating indoors this evening. Food was great and service was very quick. They stressed that it is their new summer menu and it had only been out for three weeks. We got the side of potatas bravas as an appetizer and it was delicious. We also got the hanger steak and the scallops. The scallops were so good. Definitely on the pricier side, but it was worth it for a nice date night. Will definitely be back when they transition to their fall menu! read more
