I've heard about Daniel's Truth through friends and I finally got to experience them at the K Expo. They had a perfume making class and it was SO worth!!! Daniel (ironically same name as the brand) taught the class and he made the class so entertaining. 10/10 would recommend and I'll definitely be visiting the store in person soon!

The perfume class was an excellent experience. We booked for two for the afternoon perfume making class, which is an entirely oil based class. I believe the class can seat 10-12 per session. There were six of us in this session. The session was about 1.5hrs in all. Parking is easy in the large plaza Upon checking in, we were greeted and shown to our seats. There was a nice card with our name on it, a spread of different scents and a work area with paper, a personalized bottle for our final product. Our teacher, Daniel, not the Daniel's Truth. Daniel was a great communicator and teacher. I honestly didn't know what to expect going in since my knowledge of perfumes is very basic aside from what brands I like. Daniel gave us an introduction on the company history, locations in Korea and other offerings. I felt like I learned a lot about the different items out on the market, the different brandings and marketing. Never knew the differences between an parfum or a toilette until today. As we went through the class, we went through each layer of parfum, creating our own unique combinations. I appreciate Daniel's informative explanation on the different scents, as well as the tips on what may conflict or not work with each other. In the end, we got to smell each person's scent and a winner is chosen to win a special prize. It's amazing how each person has the same spread, but everyone created their own unique scent. At the end, we also received a goodie bag that included a random hand cream and a gift card to used on their products. It's a memorable experience I would do again and you come out learning something new with a personal keepsake you can use. Daniel did inform us that the spread of oils will change in the future to be more fall themed soon. Maybe they'll change them for spring time as well Also learned they will be offering the cocktail and perfume class soon, which I will highly consider. Overall a great experience. I do like their signature scents as well so I'll definitely be picking them up soon with the gift card.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and had such a fun time! Ironically, neither of us wear fragrances daily, so this was a unique experience for us. Our class was taught by Daniel (not the Daniel of Daniel's Truth), and he was super helpful and knowledgeable throughout. Each person had their own little station with a wide selection of oils -- top notes, middle notes, and base notes. I appreciated that we started off with a bit of background on the history of perfumes, how they're made and sold, and what each type of note means. I went in thinking I knew my scent preferences, but after smelling each oil, I realized I lean more toward fresh, citrusy florals -- which is what I ended up creating! After making our signature scents, we named and presented them to the class, sharing the story behind each one. At the end, we were gifted a little goodie bag with a sample of one of Daniel's Truth perfumes, an engraved roll-on bottle for our creation, and a $50 gift card to the store. Plus, one of the sweet employees even gave us a cupcake! Overall, it was such an awesome learning experience and a really fun, unique way to spend time with a loved one. Highly recommend!

Booked a perfume making class at Daniel's Truth to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Booking online was very simple and hassle free. My best friend had taken this class a few months ago and recommended it to me, and I definitely recommend as well! Daniel was very friendly, FUNNY, and explained everything in great detail. In this class you are able to make your own personal perfume/oil, starting from top notes, to middle notes and base notes. It may be hard given that there are so many scents to choose from but you will end up with something so unique and personal to use for years to come. The store itself is very aesthetically pleasing, bright and clean. All the staff here are friendly and help you find your perfect scent. I highly recommend this class if you're interested in learning about perfume , interested in finding your own signature scent, and looking for an activity to do with your friends or significant other.

This was my second time at Daniel's Truth and it was just as amazing as the first. Daniel is an incredible teacher and the experience of creating your own oil is so unique and creative. I made an oil called 'Writer's Block' and somehow the entire experience felt like sitting in a warm living room, surrounded by inspiration. You can tell there's real passion and artistry behind what he teaches. He will also help you balance your scent if you went overboard!

My cousin and I took the Signature Perfume Class on Saturday. We both had an amazing time. Daniel (not the Daniel of Daniel's Truth), our instructor was knowledgeable and charismatic. The class started with a brief history of perfume and the company. Also, he discussed the differences between the perfume strengths (eau de cologne, eau de toilette, etc). As someone who enjoys and purchases perfume, this was extremely valuable information. The perfume making aspect of the class was very hands on. Though I made a mistake (not due to Daniel's ability in teaching, but due to my lack of caffeine hehe), Daniel was quick with the solution to fix my issue. I was worried my perfume was going to smell horrible, but it turned out smelling wonderful. My bf loves the scent on me. Thank you Daniel! Highly recommend this class. My cousin and I will definitely be back for other classes.

I was a little uncertain and intimidated walking in at first as I had little to zero knowledge about perfume, but Daniel was very informative and helpful throughout the entire session. I went with my girlfriends today and had an amazing experience! We had so much fun together! We learned so much about Parfums and made our own custom 100% oil perfumes! The bottles also had our names engraved on them. It was so worth the price. ($100) The class was about 1.5 hour and started right on time. I was like 5 mins late but my friends were already there. There are 8 seats. We also got a goody bag with perfume lotion, samples of their fragrances, and a $50 gift card to use in their store. (Their oil perfumes are $52 so just pay the difference! They also had car diffusers, lotions, candles, etc to use them on.) Totally worth the experience and all the goodies you go home with! Definitely recommend to go with friends or family! read more

My best friend and I did the perfume class and absolutely loved the experience! Our host/teacher for the day, Daniel (not at all related or the same Daniel as THE Daniel) was easy to follow, very knowledgeable of all the fragrances and steps, and a very amazing teacher for the class. The easy to follow presentation has more information to add to my new interest of perfume science and also just my love for scents. First, I have to say the shop is very nice. The level of quality and professionalism is obvious. You can tell they're very serious about what they do. We came for the perfume class and really enjoyed it. Peter led the class and he was very passionate and very knowledgeable teacher. The class was a high-end experience. We had a wide selection of high-quality oils to use to create a custom perfume that was designed to evoke an emotional response for each of us individually. The process was layered and very interesting. We received personalized perfume bottles for our finished perfumes, we received gifts, beautiful gift bags, we even had a contest for best perfume with a very nice prize at the end. We also got a chance to sample many of their most popular signature perfumes, which were really impressive. Overall, it was a very special experience and it was a lot of fun. If you are a connoisseur of perfumes, you would love this class, but honestly, I think it's a class that anyone could enjoy and of course a great place to buy your next perfume if you want something that's next level. read more

I booked the Signature class for a friend and me. We had such a great time learning about the composition of perfumes and creating our own scents. The class was with a group of 10 other people. Peter, the instructor, was very knowledgeable and attentive. He came by to test our scents as we were putting them together to give us input, and we even passed around our scents at the end. For the price of the perfume class, this is unbelievable. Considering the experience and gifts I received at Daniel Truth, it feels like such a steal. This isn't just about learning how to blend fragrances--it makes me feel like a better version of myself. And thanks to Daniel's luxurious scents, I can't help but feel a touch of elegance, too. Like a hidden gem of a restaurant I wanted to keep to myself, I finally introduced this secret spot to a close friend, and sharing it with them made it even more special. I never imagined that a perfume-making class I joined on a whim would turn out to be such an enjoyable experience. Creating my own fragrance using natural oils brought me so much happiness! I attended the class with my coworkers, and just like me, they initially joined without much expectation--only to end up completely falling in love with it. It was fascinating to see how each person's perfume had a unique scent, perfectly tailored to their individual preferences. The fact that it was my own custom fragrance made the experience even more special. Since the products are made with natural ingredients, I can use them with confidence, and I was pleasantly surprised by how long the scent lasts. Unlike traditional perfumes, the fragrance lingers subtly yet beautifully for a long time. I actually prefer it over brand-name perfumes now, and I think I'll be using only these products from now on. I've already booked two more classes in February, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful experience. I had to reschedule my class twice and I got very lucky. In being able to join my class since apparently the website doesn't capture two reschedules! Be careful of that. Otherwise it was such a fun and unique experience; I learned a lot. Peter was so helpful and friendly, making the class feel safe and welcoming. This was one of the best experiences I had in Southern California! Our instructor was Daniel and he did such a wonderful job in making the experience so fun. Daniel is extremely knowledgeable in the different scents and was really patient in helping us create our parfums. His wit and humor made the class go by really fast that by the time it was over, we didn't realize the hour and a half went by so quickly. We made such wonderful memories celebrating my friend's 40th birthday together. The luxurious atmosphere of the store made us feel even more special, and being able to create our own signature perfumes was truly an amazing experience. I just took the perfume class from Peter and it was the best experience I ever had!! He made it very simple but clear to understand yet super fun and relaxing at the same time. It was amazing to see how everyone in the class came up with such different scents when using the same oil to create our own. The quality of the products they use here is amazing and you can never go wrong with what you make. It was so much more than what i expected, something beyond just creating your own perfume. Came here on a Saturday with my girlfriends for our valentine's activity, we had such a good experience. It was fun learning about perfume making and making our own unique scents. It's a bit pricey, but I think it was worth the experience. Daniel was our instructor, he was very helpful and knowledgeable, his sense of humor and honesty made the class more enjoyable. The funniest thing about this location is that you can see all the boyfriends, husbands, and partners and their kids just waiting outside milling around on their phones while their S.O. is shopping inside. When I went on the weekend it was pretty packed. I liked that there are some brands you don't generally see at other Asian beauty shops and that there are samples you can, I guess smell or swatch. There's make up, skincare (serums, toners, sunblock, face wash, etc.), hair care, body care, and some household goods like those air freshener sticks. However, after a quick look through I was just ok with the prices and the selection that they have here for my own beauty and skincare needs. Some of the items are a couple dollars more expensive that what I could find online, but that's understandable. I think my only issue was the stock that they had of what was carried and the state of the samples. Most of what did pique my interest, the cute eye shadow palettes and make up, were all sold out but were still on display (10+ items like this not just a couple) and the samples that were out for swatching looked absolutely disgusting and dirty. Smeared lipstick and cream and blush everywhere, some had hair and dust and other things in it. I dipped real quick. I don't know, I've been spoiled with ShinuyaLa and I'm genuinely quite surprised there's no K-beauty shop equivalent that does it like them.
