Stopped in for a sweet treat. In general I am not a huge fan of danish treats but I enjoyed my danish horn. Interior is cute and clean while the exterior looks inviting.

The ambiance is mind blowing, the danish will bring you back and the staff are magnificent. Stephanie made us feel so welcomed. I also truly appreciated the way she wrapped my danish because she did it in a way that the flavors didn't accidentally mesh. Solvang holds at least five bakeries. At least that's how many I found myself in, searching for exactly what I found here. A friend and I walked in and out of each bakery looking for what was craving. Every bakery sold the opposite of what I was looking for. Most of them would add sliced almonds in the fruit of the danish. The bread used didn't look fluffy or soft. I was on a serious search and was about to give up until we landed at this establishment. They were neat and organized. Their danish was beautiful to the eyes (I could taste the fruit with my eyes) and wonderful to the tastebuds. I had to exercise self control with my choices. From the fruit inside to the icing on the top, these danish are addicting. I definitely plan to return on my next visit to Solvang. I went with the cherry and lemon (my go-to flavors) I also want to try one that was cinnamon lemon. My tastebuds were blown. It was so flaky and thin, yet so lucious. I was very impressed.

My family and I briefly checked out Danish Mill Bakery just to see what they offered in comparison to the other bakeries in town. Upon entering, we realized how hot it was inside - like uncomfortably hot to the point where I got overwhelmed and just needed to get out of the shop. Before I did, I bought 2 packs of their Danish Haribo gummies that I had never seen or heard of before - we brought them back for a friend of ours who loves Haribo! I also noticed their massive glass counter display of Danish pastries - they looked amazing! We didn't buy anything from them since I was in a hurry to get outside, but man...did they look tasty! I did notice that they had a nice seating area in the back to enjoy your items - that is, if you can stand the heat. Staff at the counter and register were super friendly! I would definitely come back next time I am in Solvang and brave the warmth to try their pastries! Check them out!

The Danish Kringle was pretty tasty but the chocolate truffle was disappointing They do have a small area in the back to eat but you have to pay a tip to eat there and order it to eat in. I found that a little strange for a bakery

We shouldve read some reviews here at yelp! If you have your order in a to go box you cant sit inside, doesnt matter how much you bought! We asked the cashier if we could sit inside and take a bite of some of the patries we bought, she said yes. Here comes another staff very rude and kicked us out, she said if you have to go box you cant sit. The cashier, didnt even explained to us having it in a box. It puzzled us, we even place a tip because she already said yes for letting us sit inside. My boys who are already sitting felt they were very rude approaching us. We dont even want to try our pastries because of this experience. Not coming back here..

Lots of baked goodies with almond! I wanted to grab so much, but luckily before I got in line to order, our table for brunch was ready so we stopped by the bakery again after our meal. I tried to be reasonable since some of the things I was eyeing does not travel well on the 3+ hour drive we have going home, so I settled on a bear claw ($4.95), Kringle slice ($4.50), and almond mazarin ($4.95). Everything tasted so good! The pastries were flaky and full of flavor. Find free parking within walking distance in a nearby lot. Walk off the sugar rush from consuming the pastries as you explore Solvang.

This bakery looks as it appears, welcoming and busy. It's non stop and I tasted the reason why. If you are visiting Solvang, the Danish Mill Bakery is a must stop. I highly recommend trying the Apple Fritter. It's deliciously soft, the flavor is just magical!! I only had "one bite and I'm done" in mind but, I ate half of this delightful loaf. They also offer hot or iced coffee, lattes, etc.. This is a cute bakery. Don't forget to check out the mechanical bakers in the front! :)

The best price for pastries, $4.95 for pastry in February 2026! All the baked goods looked super tasty, hard to choose. Got the Guava cheese danish pastry was delicious, the flakey dough was a little bit salty, so go for just the regular fruit option. The line does get busy mid day, but moves quickly. The store was clean, and there are couple table in the back to enjoy your pastry. Overall, a great place to stop and get all your pastries.

Danish Mill Bakery - Solvang A true Solvang gem Danish Mill Bakery is a historic, family-owned bakery, and you can feel the tradition the moment you walk in. I had the guava cheese Danish, my husband enjoyed the raspberry cheese, and my friend had the blueberry cheese all three were fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Perfect balance of sweetness and texture. This bakery has roots tracing back to Copenhagen and a legacy of baking even for Danish royalty, which makes the experience feel extra special. They're known for authentic Danish pastries like kringle and aebleskiver, crafted by Danish-educated pastry chefs, blending classic recipes with a modern touch. The place is spotless also the good service and the decor is cute and adorable I loved the window decorations and the little birds outside such a cozy, welcoming vibe. You can truly taste the history, care, and passion here. A must-visit in Solvang

Excellent selection of tasty treats. The cinnamon crisp is a sublime mix of a churro and a croissant. We visited at the low tourist season so service was a breeze. More of an urban atmosphere than kitchy. They had some cute animatronics out front which is very popular among the bakeries here.

Can we talk about how cute little chefs are in the window?! And we got there at the perfect time before the line was out the door. Everything was baked to perfection. The Kringle was DEVINE and I wasn't sharing. Only thing missing was a cup of coffee to complete the perfection. But after all it's Solvang and you need to pace yourself for all the eating.
