Although I had been to Drover's in the past, I didn't want to leave a review until I got to try a cup of coffee! Now it's safe to say I definitely have enjoyed each experience I've had at Drover's. The staff has always been helpful when I inquire for some direction with selecting a donut. I always lean towards the chocolate flavors and have been satisfied every time! I even brought a donut to my boss since he admitted to never having tried one from Drover's. He said it was very delicious. Their donuts are definitely more cakey than others I've tried but I enjoy the texture. They have the more gourmet style flavors but also have the classic ones (ie glazed) which makes for an inclusive donut experience. For the coffee I had opted for a simple latte. It did the trick with giving me a caffeinated boost for my day. Overall, each visit I've had has been what I've needed to have a sweet, caffeinated start! read more

I really had some high hopes for this place, but the doughnuts did seem like they were not fresh. The glaze and maple bacon doughnuts were both dense and dry. However, the apple fritter did taste really good. I will probably try this place again. Maybe they had an off day. read more

For our trip we stayed locally at the Sideways Inn, part of the complimentary delivered to your door breakfast was Drover's Donuts. I wasn't sure how well a continental breakfast that would make but our first night stay let me know they were fantastic! The donuts were large, with a lighter cake and a delicious and flavorful chocolate frosting. We loved the donuts so much we checked out their Instagram page and found out their shop was quite close. So we opted at the end of our vacation to grab some to take home. They have the standard options you'd find and most any donut shop in America glazed, chocolate frosted, maple frosted, iced with sprinkled, and apple fritters. We opted for their current seasonal favorites and got an assortment with Maple Bacon, Raspberry Pistachio, Triple Berry Hibiscus, White Chocolate Macadamia, Caramel Latte, and a blueberry fritter. The young lady working was so nice and helpful with me picking out what to get. She made sure we got fresh donuts for the road and they were as gorgeous as they were delicious! The shop was small but clean and well designed, it had a home feel to it while looking classic with a touch of modern. Each if the donuts we tried were so yummy, the raspberry pistachio was my fave and so flavorful I wish I lived closer! All I'm all I can't wait to go back to Solvang again, and see what Drover's has going on next time. read more

From the moment I stepped in I knew I was in for a treat. So many yummy options for donuts and there was a line of anxious customers. I wanted to try so many, but I opted for 3: dulce de leche, chocolate and blueberry. All 3 donuts were so delicious and not severely sweet. This donut shop is hands down the BEST! Donuts were still warm and gooey from the oven. Melt in your mouth treats! My kids got donut holes and the strawberry sprinkle donut. Both great choices. My husband and I split the Crumbl and maple bacon. Crumbl was my favorite of them. We were visiting and stayin at the Flying Fkags RV park. If you're passing by Buellton or live in Santa Ynez Valley stop by this new modern donut shop. Donut prices range from an old fashion at $1.25 to apple fritters at $2.75. I enjoyed the simpler side of things with a beautifully executed cake donut dusted in cinnamon sugar or glazed with some sprinkles. They also offer gorgeous crowd-pleasers like a fruit loop, glazed donut covered in crumbs, and ready for their closeups. But a donut's only as good as its base, and luckily even the standard glazed here is great. If you're unable to find parking in front of the building you can park in the next parking lot over or park by the Coffee Cabin parking lot and walk over. read more

Fantastic donuts! The maple bacon donut is always good here, and their other specialty flavors are often inventive. I absolutely loved the lavender honeycomb donut they had in August. I can't wait to see what flavors this September will bring! The donuts themselves aren't too heavy or sugary, thankfully, and the flavors really stand out because the donuts aren't too sweet. If you're in Buellton, definitely stop in for some donuts. Just note, the shop can be a little hard to find as it's sandwiched in a spot in a row of a couple of similar buildings. read more

I would not recommend this place to anyone ever. Did a donut themed birthday party for our son & we talked to the owner about doing various shades of green & blues & decorative. I received all blue, & out of the 60 I ordered for the party about 12 had sprinkles. In 2 of the boxes the frosting completely stuck to the box & couldn't even be used.That's not even the worst part...the #1...I'll let you be the judge of what you think that is, but it's definitely not a #1.
