We've been to the Issaquah location before, so expectations were calibrated. The Mercer Island branch was great. Cleaner space, faster service, and the food punched well above what i expected. Parking is easy...either at the lot next to restaurant or at the Walgreens parking lot blow. Had the creamy tteokbokki, galbi soup, and the seafood pancake. The tteokbokki is fine. It's basically Alfredo with bacon cream sauce that studied abroad in Seoul for a semester. Not bad, just having an identity crisis. The galbi soup was solid and warming. But the real MVP of the night was surprisingly the seafood pancake. Crispy, loaded, and one of the better ones I've had in Seattle. This is a very solid 4.3 star if Yelp let me, but upgrading to 5 given the location. read more

Great new location in Mercer island! Food is still as good as their original one in issaquah but maybe because it's new, it isn't nearly as crowded. Have been during a weekday dinner and a weekend lunch and restaurant isn't full, as compared to issaquah we've always had to wait for a table. Service is friendly. High chairs available. As for food, we particularly enjoy the seafood pancake and fried chicken, then making our way down the many other options each visit and depending on what we feel like during that moment. read more

New Korean place on the island! I came in on a weekend for dinner. The interior is quite large and open which is nice. We had a stone pot bibimbap, cheese tteokbeokki, and chicken wings. The bibimbap was good. The variety of veggies was good. Hot bowl makes for good crispy rice. The tteokbeokki was super cheesy and saucy. Sauce was pretty good as well. Chicken wings were okay as well. Yangyeom tasted pretty heavily sweet. Not spicy. Chicken itself was juicy too. Sides, salad, and soup were okay too. I didn't really like the salad dressing it came with but maybe personal preference? It was a black sesame mayo dressing. Overall, I was pretty underwhelmed with this place. Service was really nice, place is convenient and has lots of variety of dishes. But there's so much better Korean elsewhere. And the items were quite pricey given everything. Been to the Issaquah highlands location and was pleasantly surprised to know there's a second location! Food was solid. We ate everything. Ordered the stone bibimbop, Mandu soup, and beef bulgogi. Comes with refillable banchan- the Kimchi is amazing. Would definitely come back. Parking is easy in the lot out front and we were seated right away on a Friday night. They were pretty busy but we still able to get their attention for things we needed. I'd say somewhat less warm and proactive in terms of checking in, but that's not a must. Ambiance is fine. The booths are a bit awkward and are much too high for the tables so you sort of have to lean over the entire meal, but that's a minor point. Inside otherwise felt bright and relatively spacious despite being quite busy! Last call for food at 9pm (at least on Friday). read more

Finally got to try this Korean restaurant on the Island. I had the bibimbop lunch and my coworker had the bulgogi lunch. All were solid! I wish there were more mushroom and spinach in the rice but it was still delicious. It's a great addition to the choices on Mercer Island. read more

Love the food, hate the table layout. Came here before the official opening because Korean cuisine is amazing and was seated in the middle two top tables. The restaurant layout itself looks a bit haphazard - a freezer for ice cream is in the main dining area, an oversized television consumes the east wall. The restaurant has no character, no ambiance but - does it matter? Seriously ambiance is nice but that's the garnish. Give me service and food. Service was solid. Friendly and overly polite. There were some soft opening hiccups but nothing big. The food was delicious! I ordered the Rose Udon and oh wow it was wonderful. The noodles were toothy, the sauce creamy, the sausage a delight! I loved it! Every bite was delicious. The rain on my parade was the table arrangement. With a freezer on one end and the pony wall on the other end people did not have a clear path of exit. Service was friendly and the banchan dishes were good but the food itself came up short. The LA Galbi was very pricy for pretty low quality meat that was overly fatty and not well marbled kalbi. Also got the Galbi Soup and it was just ok. The meat with the bones looked impressive but the meat tasted old like reheated microwaved meat from a few days ago and the broth was clean but not rich or deep. Over $80 after tax and tip for just these two dishes with no drinks is just too much for a casual lunch, even on Mercer Island. Unfortunately for these prices, you are probably better off driving to a Korean bbq restaurant which offers a similar price point. read more

I'm a fan of Danji! Glad we have a Korean option on Mercer Island. I've tried their fried chicken, bibimbap, soon dobu, galbitang, and fresh kimchi. Fried chicken here is super juicy and good amount of breading. Bibimbap was super fresh. Galbitang had a nice hearty taste. Kimchi here is also super fresh. Love buying kimchi for takeout to have at home. Very very fresh. Customer service is also super friendly. Great casual spot for groups for lunch or dinner. read more

yum yum yum!!!! my family and i were waiting for weeks for danji to open ever since we saw the sign go up XD we came in on their second day and were seated right away. the space has really opened up and there's lots of seating now. we ordered and food came out super quickly. everything tasted great -- the fried chicken we got was super crispy and moist, and the wings were sizeable. i will say with a wet sauce it can be a tad bit salty, but not terribly so. the bibimbap was yummy as well, but i would've liked the egg to be more runny; it was pretty much fully cooked. loved the cheese tteokbokki and soup we got as well. of course the banchan was delish too! overall pretty solid spot for mercer island and im glad we have a restaurant that's open later now. obviously some items are a bit pricey, but expected for the island. read more

Great food and the service was excellent. It was our first time there so they spent time answering our questions and making recommendations on the menu. They checked on us regularly and were really nice. I had the hot pot bibimbap and my husband had the beef bulgogi and both were delicious, and the portions were large enough that we had yummy leftovers for lunch the next day! read more

Food quality is great, excellent For the price. Service was fast and friendly. -1 star because the ambience could be better -- warehouse feel with no personality and the audio system is poor. If you are going to be playing continuous music it really needs to not sound like a tinny cheap speaker. These are easy fixes though. The interior was clean and neat. read more

To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

Located in the Hadley, Mioposto is the best pizza I've eaten in King County hands down. I'm a huge fan of their quattro formaggi, a delightful cheese pizza with lemon zest that makes it sing. It comes with either the olive oil base or tomato base and they both are amazing. The prosciutto e arugula minus onions is another giant favorite of mine. They have the best arugula, a bright peppery type that isn't sharp or bitter. With a little sea salt on top the arugula pairs well with the buttery, savory prosciutto. On the weekends if I have enough of an appetite I order the bacon and egg breakfast pizza which is divine. The egg and spicy base gives a creaminess that is offset by the crunch from the seasoned breadcrumbs. I love that spice. Only thing I ordered I could have passed on was the lasagna. It was solid, but for $29 it didn't feel like it carried its value like the pizza. The portion size was relatively small, the flavor profile typical, and no real wow factor. The cocktails are amazing! The Hemingway Daiquiri is my favorite because the grapefruit balances well, and they also are so refreshing! This was disappointing because we always get pepperoni puntura and were fondly looking forward to that pizza. If I really wanted a simple pepperoni pizza then I would have bought dominos. It was missing the honey and the cheese they add on top, which is why I'm saying that they gave us a pepperoni pizza. For the price you would think the service would be immaculate but from the visit, clearly they don't pay attention to the customers. The Margherita pizza was delicious and would definitely order again! No complaints for that. The restaurant was full of people and had a good ambiance. However, we were never checked up in during our visit until we pointed it out. All together, I would not recommend this location but the Ravenna location has been my favorite spot of mioposto.

I had vague recollections of eating here over a decade ago and found an improved dining experience in my recent meals with delicious rolls and delightful glasses of wine. The kaleidoscope roll has been my favorite so far as it has a bit of everything I like so much! While only 6 pieces I find I can't put the whole piece in my mouth as it is a substantial roll! Tuna, hamaichi, salmon, imitation crab, tobiko, and avocado all combined for one delicious hearty roll. The nigiri has been excellent as well! Each come out as delicious as the next. The service is always a delight. The servers are polite, prompt, and attentive. Water glasses are quickly refilled, empty plates whisked away, and always an offer of check-in I never feel rushed nor neglected here. The space is tight and it can get rather crowded Friday night. I find dining earlier helps me avoid the mass of people and it feels more relaxed. They offer daily specials so be sure to check out the chalk board by the sushi counter. Also, if you decide you wish to regularly dine here, use the same credit card as you will earn points that will give you a discount on a future meal. Such good food and great service!

The experience is largely hands-off but not fast food. There are tablets that customers can place their orders, drinks are in a fridge nearby, and they have a few beers on tap. Everything is made to order so it isn't instant and the prices are more similar to a sit-down restaurant with full service. When the order is ready a number is called and it is in a nondescript, thin paper bag that easily tears. My experience has been very inconsistent here. There have been moments that the burger is the best burger on the Island with it being juicy and savory, every bite being better than the last. There have been times that I question why I even try because the burger is overcooked, unremarkable slab of meat. I can't comment on the service as I have had very little interaction with them. When I calculated how much it cost to have a burger, fries, and wine here plus tip I struggled justifying returning when per meal it broke down to how much I pay at any of the Island's full service restaurants with the exception of two. Interesting concept with inconsistent results.

My brother is, without question, the pickiest diner I know. He's spent the better part of fifty years conducting what appears to be an unofficial cheeseburger audit of the West Coast. He orders a burger almost everywhere we go, critiques every one of them, and has been known to send food back without a second thought. So when he took one bite of the cheeseburger, quietly kept eating, refused to share a single truffle fry, and eventually announced, "This is the best burger I've ever had," the rest of us nearly fell out of our chairs. There wasn't a single complaint, which may be a first in recorded family history. Even more impressive, he's already been back twice on his own. I went in a completely different direction and finished brunch with the date and molasses cake. It immediately reminded me of the English toffee dessert that Citizen Cake in San Francisco used to make years ago. Rich, buttery, and not overly sweet, with house-made ice cream providing the perfect balance, it was one of those desserts that makes you slow down because you don't want the last bite to be the last bite. Great food, warm service, and a relaxed atmosphere. If Yelp allowed six stars, I'd award the extra one for the burger's remarkable ability to temporarily stop my brother from whining.

I love sitting at the bar and watching the bartenders work. The cocktails here are incredible! It may actually be the reason I don't visit Allister more because I want to drink all their cocktails since they are so good. I am a huge fan of the Emerald City Sour and the Mr. Bluesky because I have a weak spot for delicious gin cocktails with egg whites. The food has always been delicious. The burger is big and juicy, and the steak frites are a perfect size and cooked to perfection. The French fries could feed a small army. The fish and chips may have been my favorite because suddenly I felt like I was back in London with that big breaded filet. It was crispy on the outside, tender on the in, and nicely savory. I have gone here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch may be my favorite time because it typically is a bit more chill than either brunch or dinner. Allister can get very busy and when it is busy it can become quite loud. The restaurant is very bright and inviting. I love the wood tones and they have an amazing bar. Very comfortable! I highly recommend Allister!
