Breakfast sandwich
Michelle R.

I've eaten here for years and love it! FOOD -Fresas con crema is TO DIE FOR. It's a sweet vanilla yogurt with sliced strawberries and granola tip: we'll ask to have the granola poured in the middle and top of the cup so every bite has granola until the end. If they could make that with a vanilla protein powder, it would blow up so fast with the fitness community! -I usually get the breakfast sandwich without bacon or ham and I get the chipotle sauce on the side. My husband loves it with the green jalapeño sauce but I always prefer chipotle. Everything we've tried here has been great! The service is fast even on rush hour nights. It's always clean.

I ordered online and the food was ready when I got there. I ordered nachos and a honeydew smoothie. The nachos were good. The cheese and jalapeños came in little containers so the chips don't get soggy until you are ready to eat them. The smoothie was super cold and sweet. It was refreshing. I didn't want it to run out right away so I just kept taking little sips here and there. This is my husband's go to place for chamango.

First time back since well pre covid years. Service was attentive and friendly there is still plenty of seating inside and out.but all that's changed here is the sizes ,prices and the quality isn't as good nor worth stopping in.

where's the crema?

I used to come here pretty frequently. Decided to come today and i ordered a fresas con crema, NOT fresas sin crema. No, they weren't busy and nobody was even in there. Three stars because they normally make it with a good amount.

This is my go-to spot for delicious chamangos! Love how their location is open as early as 7am and close at 11pm! Thankful that the Tamarindo stick is INCLUDED with my Chamango. HIGHLY recommend their Chamango! 16 oz: $8.65 24 oz: $9.65 32 oz: $10.65 IF NOT the chamango , then order Fresas Con Crema. 16oz $9.06 24oz $12.31 32oz $15.57

Just came back super excited and while waiting for my food a cockroach was crawling around near me! I stepped on it but eeww! You can see it in the bottom of the pic where I stepped on it!

A southern San Diego tried and true. No chamango tops this in my book! I always ask for chaca chaca on the side since they get hard when they're cold!

I am so glad I found this place in San Diego while traveling. I didn't have that much time for a full meal, but also wanted something light and healthy. I really enjoyed the juice and the veganized sandwich.

"Açaí bowl"
Stephanystephany A.

Asked for an açaí blow and got a bowl that consisted of 4 different fruits that don't even go in an açaí bowl and a sprinkle of açaí on top... didn't even eat it. To top off the place was empty so I don't see any excuse.

I love Teresitas, been coming here since i was a kid. Can't believe i haven't written a review yet. Their food and smoothies are incredibly delicious, made with the freshest ingredients that bring out authentic flavors. Their customer service is always amazing and they are very helpful. Gotta s/o the workers bc they sure know how to make some good food! What sets Teresitas apart for me is their escamochas. They are the only fruteria that makes them just right--perfectly balanced and bursting with taste. Each bite is a delightful mix of sweetness and freshness, a true treat for the taste buds. Everything there is really delicious i just love me their escamochas. Whether you're in the mood for a hearty meal or a refreshing smoothie, Teresitas Fruteria is the place to go. Highly recommended. Hits the spot everytime.

I appreciated the live music, though it did make conversation a bit difficult to hear. The drinks were sweet and strong! I recommend the Tangled Up in Blue The macaroni and cheese was the best appetizer. The wagyu tartare is actually quite spicy, and although tasty, we could not finish it because of the burn. The entrees were hot and cooked exactly as asked. You seriously get a bang for your buck with the portion size of the chicken parm! I also got some random corn surprises in my dish - I don't mind, but just something to be aware of in case you are allergic. I'm definitely coming back.

They have a smaller outdoor patio but a very large space indoors. We came right at 5 on a Wed and it wasn't too busy then but by the time we left at 7 it was packed. All night happy hour on Wednesday too! Their happy hour menu is slightly discounted (~$2-5) items from their main menu. We got some drinks, the chicken bao, brussel sprouts and charred broccoli. Broccoli was not on hh. For my drink I got the Grenache that was on hh. Unfortunately it was served super warm. It was a hot day but you'd think they'd put it somewhere cooler so it didn't get like that. I wouldn't get wine there again. For food the bao bun had a good variety of components. My only knock on it was that the chicken piece was tiny. That being said, it was well cooked and super crunchy texture which I loved. Brussel sprouts were delicious and crispy. The peanut sauce they use on it is perfect. The broccoli was decent. It ate much sweeter than I thought it would and the sauce made the labneh a little runny so it didn't stick to the broccoli well. Service was sooo friendly and very quick the whole night but we never felt rushed. I would definitely come back and try more.

It's got the decor, chairs, and art to match. Jessica was our server and she was amazing! She gave us lots of suggestions on what to try and what is on the menu since it was my first time here. She recommended the bloody Mary flight so did grab that to try! We also ordered the biscuits and gravy to share and orange juice. The portions are so large! So I am glad we decided to share the biscuits and gravy but let me run down each thing. Bloody Mary Flight: Honestly every single one was amazing. My favorite was definitely the pickle Mary! Everything tasted so delicious and was garnished beautifully. Well worth the 22 dollars. Biscuits and Gravy: Absolute perfection of comfort food. The biscuits were so fluffy and well seasoned. The gravy was also soooo good, just like my mom makes. The sausage in it was also cooked so well and juicy. I've never tried mashed potatoes with the biscuits and gravy but it worked very well! Orange Juice: Not a fan really, not pulpy enough and I wasn't a fan of the flavor. Overall this is definitely a must visit! I will definitely be back.

The food was amazing! In particular, I enjoyed the fried chicken and waffle tower and their roasted chicken hash. I was surprised they didn't include a side of butter along with their biscuits, but I'll probably just ask for it next time. One important thing to note is that their dishes are HUGE. All 6 of us had our own dishes, but I would highly highly recommend ordering a couple dishes and sharing it family style if you're dining with a group. One note I did have about Hash House is how overstimulating the menu is lol. The menu had a lot of clashing fonts, colors, and clip art images, it made it hard to digest the menu. I didn't even notice some menu offerings because of how busy the menu was. Also, our waitress did initially charge us for 6 coffees, even though we only had 3. It was a good thing we caught that error on the receipt before paying. Overall, the food at Hash House is definitely worth coming back for.

As if that wasn't enough, we walked in and realized it was trivia night, which immediately made the evening even better. While looking through the menu, I spotted a salmon bowl. I'm still pretty new to seafood and have recently discovered that I'm actually a big fan of raw salmon, so I figured this was the perfect opportunity to branch out. Well... surprise! For some reason I had convinced myself it was going to be a poke-style bowl with raw salmon, avocado, cucumbers, and all the usual toppings. Instead, it came out with cooked salmon. Even though it wasn't what I expected, the bowl was actually delicious. The funny part is I learned something about myself... I definitely prefer raw salmon over cooked salmon. Not a bad discovery to make over a good meal! The atmosphere was lively without being overwhelming, trivia kept the energy up all night, and the service was friendly from start to finish. Great place to grab a drink, catch up with friends, and maybe even learn something new about your own taste buds.

Thank goodness there was room too, because wow oh wow. It has been three weeks and we keep talking about that happy hour. I ordered the Kiwilango slider + fries, my mom got the HH fish & chips, and my dad got the wagyu smash slider. Plus $10 beers, of course. Everything came out quickly and beautifully portioned, which made getting dessert (magpie ice cream cake) a no brainer. Delicious!!! I didn't stray into their full Kiwi-based dinner menu, but I can fully vouch for their happy hour, the cozy, charming vibes, kind and attentive servers, and flavorful dishes. They have protein pancakes that are low calorie and gluten-free. And, they taste pretty good. Not as good as their regular pancakes, but, good enough to satisfy my pancake craving. I have breakfast there one or two times a month. I always have the same thing - protein pancakes and decaf coffee. And, the portion is so huge that I take most of it home and have the pancakes for breakfast the next several days. Enough about the pancakes. Let's talk about the service, which is what compelled me to write this review. A few months ago I sat down and my server, Erick, came up to my table and said, "Protein pancakes and decaf?" I was blown away! He remembered me and my order. I am not that regular a guest. He is just that amazing. And, it doesn't stop there. A few minutes after delivering my food, he brought a to-go box, because he knew I always take most of my meal with me, and I'm always in a hurry. That's not great service - that's extraordinary service! At one to two times a month, Erick makes me feel like a 5 day a week regular. I wish I could give Breakfast Republic 14 stars; 5 for having protein pancakes, 4 for their taste and 5 for the extraordinary service.
