Love the food. Here is the problem i had, we ordered a pizza and wings, went to pick it up, they looked for my order and said to give them 5 minutes so ok i go to my car go back in a little past 5 minutes and same thing again. Ok whatever 10 minutes is ok maybe they were busy i go back in and they tell me they just put my order in and that it would be ready in 40 minutes. I get it, mistakes happen, thats fine but don't make me waste time and wait outside like a dummy for no reason. They could have told me from the start. I didn't even get an apology nor a small discount for the inconvenience. This place is such a fun find! A neighborhood pub with downtown flavors. The southwest eggrolls are way begter than anything Chili's has to offer. The sweet potatoe fries are perfect and crispy. Now, listen closely tbe pizza is phenomenal. It reminded us of Father and Son's pizza which is a Chicago staple so it was so nice to have a taste of childhood over by Midway. read more

DEF my favorite pizza place in Chicago! The pizza is always good. I usually get a jumbo pepperoni. I love their crust and it's just an all around flavorful pizza every time I order from here! We moved into Thais neighborhood 2 years ago, and Danny's has been the spot for our pizza lovers home.. however, I just ordered a med sized pizza and a small Mac & cheese and my jaw dropped at the pricing ($33.85) this had a $4 delivery charge that I was unaware of.. not including the $5 til I gave the driver.. super nice gentleman, but not wearing a mask.. seems that pizza went up by 1.80 & extra toppings by .80 and Mac & cheese by 3 dollars.. love the pizza but not sure if I'm willing to dish out so much every time we have a pizza craving.. read more

I happened to be in the neighborhood with my mom and we stopped by after I read the reviews. Was not disappointed! Pizza was tasty and they had roast beef egg rolls which I had at another restaurant a month prior. I didn't think it was possible but I thought Danny's egg rolls were the best! Pizza is great, we always order for pickup - it's my go to pizza. Today, 2/8 at 8pm me my girlfriend and daughter waited and waited for our server to take our order and never did. So we walked out. Went there looking to my "old Dannys pizza" sadly it's not the same pie I remembered. 1) crust is crispier then before 2) sauce is missing something 3)man the green peppers what happens to the large pieces of green peppers. That all being said, what I did get was good! The pizza here is good, I had some standard apps and they were also good. Just nothing blew me away, just another SS pizza place! Service was great! We were well attended to! The space itself is a huge improvement over the old place, very casual but well done. Also have some nice outdoor seating. Wish they had a better beer selection. Was excited to eat here. Good atmosphere. Once seated it took 20 min to get a server. Another 15 just to get our drink order. After that came it was an even longer wait to get our food. Food was good. Here comes the bill. Not bad. But it was 13 for just the burgers and another 3 for the sides. Ok. No big. Leave the card. Get the bill to sign. They snuck in an additional cost for using our card. No. You can't do that. And no where does it say they can do that. Service was horrible. Food mediocre. Stay away! This is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. HOWEVER, the last 3 experiences I've had here have left me feeling meh. This last experience was probably the most lackluster. I googled the hours for today (10/20) and it said open at 3pm- that seemed really late to me so I checked their website, it said 11am. Ok cool that makes more sense. We head over there and arrive at 11:15am....nope its locked and chairs are still up. I give them a call and ask what time they open today, and guy says noon and hangs up before I could even say thanks. Anyway, we come back at 12:15ish and order our food. One person's comes about 15 min before the rest of ours. So I'm a big fan of the wings but this time the vesuvius wings were really gross and cold. Strawberry sriracha is still really amazing. We get the check and notice theres an an extra charge for ranch. Ranch that I never ordered, that the waitress never asked if we wanted or informed us it was extra charge. It was only .50 cents but still super annoying because we didnt even touch it, we dont like ranch. We also noticed that their fries have changed from really good beer batter ones to just the typical frozen fries you get everywhere else but the price is still the same, which is super disappointing. Seems like service and food quality have been going down since it opened, which makes me really sad. Dont think we will be back for a while. read more

I really, truly want this restaurant to do well, which is why I feel compelled to write an honest review. My family and I were extremely loyal customers of the original Danny's since I was a kid. We used to go there as a team after volleyball tournaments and it was definitely a neighborhood favorite. We've already ordered from the new Danny's multiple times in the short time they've been re-opened, which in and of itself should speak volumes. We've ordered carryout and delivery, and today was the first time we've dined on the new patio. A couple times when we ordered carryout, we experienced a few hiccups. The girl on the phone was not well-informed of the foods offered on the menu and we had to explain what it was we wanted. Then, when we picked up the food, they only gave us half of the order. The manager was very apologetic and delivered the remainder of our order when we brought the issue to his attention. Today, 3 of us dined in, and we spent approximately 2 hours there...not by choice. The service was incredibly slow (although everyone was very kind and polite). I could hear other tables complaining about wait times as well. We understand it's a new business endeavor, and remained patient, but it's not the first time I've heard others express disappointment. There seems to be plenty of wait staff on hand, as every time I looked inside, there were 5-6 people standing around waiting for food at the kitchen window. If the kitchen is the hold up, it may be worth investing in a few more cooks. Also, people may be more understanding if those 5-6 people paid more attention to their tables while waiting for the food to be ready. Offer refills on drinks. Apologize for the wait. Do literally anything besides stand in a large group inside waiting for food while your guests grow increasingly impatient. Once the food is finally ready, it's delicious! The pizza is VERY close to the original recipe. The only difference is the crust seemed a bit off. They offer some very different food options than any other place in the area and it's refreshing as this neighborhood definitely needed a bit of a facelift. Overall, once the kinks are worked out, I think (and genuinely hope) the new Danny's will be a big success. read more

Great neighborhood spot. I had a burger with sweet potato fries and I could not stop eating. It was so delicious. Good menu selection. My husband had the chicken tinga and it was good. Service was great. Very well staffed. They always came around to check on us or pick up the items my kids kept dropping on the floor lol. My son had the cheeseburger with tater tots off kids menu. I had ordered the tomato soup for my 8mo baby girl but it was too spicy after trying but so delicious. Very peppery. I ate it all myself and let her eat the crackers. After scouring local Bolingbrook restaurants, bc we were getting bored with the same pizza, etc, , we discovered Danny's which is located at the Promenade Mall in Bolingbrook. We ordered online, and opted for the curbside delivery. I was told it would be 30 min wait. After ordering our food, I drove over to the Mall which is one or two miles from our house. I pulled up in front (in driving rain), and the waiter came running out, took our $$, ran back in and brought out our food. Give Danny's a try! The Pizza was great, tasty and very reasonably priced.
