Man, I don't know what happened here in such a short amount of time this place went from great to not so great. I live 5 minutes down the street and come get donuts often. Either for work or for my family. I was so excited to have such a great donut spot nearby but the quality and consistency has declined fast. Also, the customer service is just not welcoming, at least when I've been there. The young staff always looks annoyed or upset that you walked in. Tbh, I don't care too much about that because the donuts were good. Lately though, the flavor is lacking, they are tasting very greasy/oily and inconsistent. Also, there is no organization. I've ordered blueberry fritters to get home and have apple fritter or get an ube one to get a mixed flavor in my box. There should be signs infront of each donut instead of me having to ask the already annoyed staff what flavor this is if it's a unique one. Also, the ube and chocolate donuts used to be very flavorful but I got some the other day and they were poorly mixed and lacking flavor. I don't know what's happening but I hope it gets better so I don't have to drive 15 minutes to Marinas donut spot. Side note, the place could use some light cleaning i.e. doors are dirty, floors, etc. Staff should be keeping the place tidy when its slow so the owner doesn't have so much on his plate. I can easily say that they have the best donuts in the city. Those words are too plain to describe what the experience of eating Danny's donuts. It is a spiritual experience. The donuts are so light and fluffy, I felt the guitless for having 2 in one sitting. There was no heaviness or the self loathing of indulgence. Just the quiet peace that finally Salinas has donuts worth getting up at 7am. Also try their cream cheese stuffed baked bagels-it is like a pull apart of creamy softness. I used to like coming here when they first opened but after a few months, service hasn't been good. Their employees are not friendly and they don't seem happy to be there. A month ago, I ordered 2 dozen donuts and expected them to be ready when I came in. The employee at the counter didn't know what I was talking about and looked confused. I told him I talked to someone and ordered them over the phone. After a few mins., he finally found the "yellow sticky note" with my order and of course it wasn't ready. It took him 30 mins. to prepare my order. It was very frustrating. They're only donuts. It's not like he has to cook them. Their donuts are still good but when I came in today at 1000, there were only approx. a dozen donuts left. I asked their employee if they're going to make any more donuts like they claim they do in the afternoon, and she said they're not. How can you expect customers to come back when you have poor customer service and you don't have the product to sell? I hope they'll make things better. read more

My husband and I have visited this business twice and really enjoyed the donuts we took home. The first time we arrived just before closing and although it was the end of the day the donuts were very tasty. I had their french crullers and they were so delicious. They tasted so fresh. Today we went there at about 1. Apparently they do not sell French crullers except on weekends, I had a maple bar. It was delicious. My husband had a filled donut.
