Really Danny's? Come on guys, do better. How am I supposed to eat this? It's falling apart and hasn't been sitting at all... I live two mins away. Everyone knows you can't wrap a hot sandwich in foil or it will turn to mush. Disappointed. Their deep dish is really good so I guess we'll just stick with that.

I absolutely recommend this place! I love supporting local businesses that are well worth it! I've tried several different options on the menu all the way from the pizza to different sandwiches and even the pasta dinners. I have yet to have a complaint regarding any of their food options. The quality of the food is good, the portions are definitely large and the price you pay is very reasonable!

I ordered a Italian beef with cheese and French fries. Also got a regular order of jalapeño poppers. Everything was basic nothing to write home about. Expensive as well. A lot of better choices in the neighborhood

Why am I paying $27.90 for a medium one tapping pizza being delivered to a location that's less than a half a mile away?

Danny's Burger - 1/2 lb patty with blue cheese, grilled onions, bacon, and American cheese on rye bread

This tiny restaurant has fantastic onion rings and probably the best in Chicago! Their Danny's Burger should be ordered at least once. It is a 1/2 beef patty (cooked to your preference) with bleu cheese, grilled onions, bacon, and American cheese on rye bread. They happily cooked mine to a perfect medium rare. Some restaurants are unwilling to cook hamburgers less than medium. Their burger ends up a huge mess in your hands because the rye bread will break apart from all the delicious goodness inside so bring your own hand wipes. If you're visiting the Galloping Ghost Arcade or Pinball locations which are within short walking distance, you should come here to eat.

Pretty good food was tasty, got my order right so definitely no complaints on that. But I do wish they would of gave a dipping cup of marinara for the calzone it was a bit dry

All that is left after 3 meals of homemade ravioli.

The smell of fresh garlic, tomatoes, and herbs in the air made us even more excited for the food. Our waitress was super friendly and made us feel welcome the whole time. I ordered the Fettuccine with Bolognese sauce, and added a meatball. We also ordered the Penne Alfredo with sausage so we could try both. When the plates came out, the first thing I noticed was the gigantic meatball. The fettuccine portion was generous, and the Bolognese had a rich tomato flavor. It was bold from the first bite, but for me the sauce became a little overpowering, and after a while it left a slightly metallic aftertaste. It was really good, but It was just a little too intense for my taste. The meatball was tender and flavorful, but I don't think one single meatball was worth the extra $5. The Penne Alfredo with sausage, though... that was the star of the meal. The Alfredo sauce was rich, creamy, and coated every piece of pasta perfectly, while the sausage added the perfect savory bite. I honestly wish I had ordered that instead. If I came back, that's exactly what I'd order.

Hi Yelpers, I sent…read morethis directly to Lucca's 6 days ago, and have yet to hear back. Being an independent vs a chain, I guess they have different sop's for responding to concerns. For your consideration: Disappointing - and I wanted to reach out versus putting this on OT / Yelp. $307.82 including tip for the following: Made a 5:30 rsvp, even though my entire party wanted 7, but I didn't want to be rushed and have a nice table, not to mention avoiding the issues below. Checked in early, seated right away in the back room, next to a spare chair and highchair. Room was warm with one other table in it, and bright. Noted "21st birthday" on rsvp, so maybe this table was set aside thinking it was a bunch of college kids. Server, Mariam, overall was fine. Drinks were priced by city standards. "Brooklyn" was watered down and not really cold. Glass wines weren't cold. Decided to skip apps and go right to entrees because we had other birthday stops to make. Nothing we ordered should have more than a :15 minute ticket time, especially fired at 5:45. We waited 30+ minutes for entrees, which were delivered in stages - 4 entrees, then 5 minutes later, the final 2 by the same guy. Only one food runner on a Saturday night? Marsala potato side delivered 5 mins after that. The food was marginal at best. All the pasta was overcooked and really not very presentable. Sauces were breaking. Portions were smaller than last visit. We had 3 baskets of bread to make up for it. No manager check on entrees, although we did see one turning down the AC. When did table visits become optional in our business? Very good tiramisu with a candle. The 3.5% service fee is a Covid-era tactic that shouldn't exist after 5 years... We have three more summer birthdays and the group unanimously said "let's try somewhere else." But, Lucca's may have had an off night, and I believe in giving objective feedback and trying it again. Thanks for listening.

The menu was phenomenal, the server had a great wine selection and the ambiance was so cozy and inviting with beautifully lit tables and a peach color rose bud on every table. We each ordered from the RW menu, we got the pistachio crusted lamb, blackberry sage coulis duck breast and halibut and gulf shrimp in a coconut lime sauce. The bar had a very nice selection of cocktails and we got the pisco sours - which were mixed well. For starters - we got the grilled spanish octopus. Any place there is octopus, we order it. Marco's octopus was definitely a shining star. We thoroughly enjoyed it and despite not being eggplant fans, it was a great pairing. We also got the grilled romaine salad and Soubise soup (french onion) and while I loved the soup (especially on a cold day) - my husband thought the salad was just okay - nothing that would entice him to order it again. For entrees - I got the filet gorgonzola and he got one of the seafood specials - I think it was salmon. Both entrees were fine - and my filet reheated nicely the next day - but nothing outstanding. Overall - a good restaurant - but again - nothing outstanding.

Everything came out fresh, flavorful, and we enjoyed what we ordered. The Buzzkill pizza was delicious, and the appetizer platter was a great option for the table. Unfortunately, the service really took away from the experience. It took about 10 minutes before anyone came over to seat us, another 10-15 minutes before someone took our order, and when our Snap Into It salad arrived (for a party of three), it only came with two pieces of bread, so we had to ask for a third. At the end of the meal, we waited around 20 minutes just to get our check. The surprising part was that the restaurant wasn't busy at all, so the slow service was hard to understand. The food was definitely the highlight, but because of the overall service experience, I don't think I'd return.

The cheese was melted just right, stretchy and hot. The sauce had a nice balance, a little tangy, a little sweet, not overpowering anything. The pepperoni was the best part. Crispy on the edges, a little oily in a good way, and full of flavor. Every bite just worked. Thin, balanced, nothing too heavy. If you like pizza, this is one of those spots you gotta try. Mattone has a pretty standard menu of Italian food like spaghetti. A lot of the familiar. The flavors may not be as good as they used to be so just know that and it will seem like better quality. Certainly the happy hour is the best time to come. It's expensive already so save a few bucks and it makes things quite an improvement. There's a lot of what to expect on the menu. Cocktails and pasta of course. They took forever taking everyone's order and then there was even more waiting. It's about $12 for the cheapest cocktails. They have a few bucks off martinis at the happy hour thankfully. A serious lack of vegetarian choices. There's even salads covered in bacon and pancetta. Has a few weekly specials to check out. It's $20 for the classics specials on Thursdays. Among the options are lasagna and spaghetti. This also comes with a choice of soup so you get lots with this. Actually a pretty filling meal. They can make the spaghetti without meatballs and stuff. Got to say it gets busy. It's only open in evenings. There's limited options for vegetarians.
