Cold beers in this tiny local and friendly bar, 1:2 places open in Coronado that closes at 2 am.

A local place that is not touristy with a very nice selection of beer. Locals is the ambiance and the history of men and women who've served on the Navy Seal teams. Service is friendly and pay a visit to see Navy history in this bar.

They give proper tribute to Seals and much respect. But if you are only a veteran don't go.: the pool table is for seals only. If Dakota Meyer shows up then he can't play pool. Personally I would make it free for seals, discount for vets, and regular price for citizens. Crazy concept. Oh and when ya ask for WiFi code or. T shirts u are told they are to the left by the exit door. Asian girl bartender was not endearing . Rather pay extra to a seal charity foundation then be told no.

I promised myself I wouldn't review Danny's.. Its where I escape to when I wanna pretend I'm Maverick in Top Gun. In fact, if you're single, you could probably serenade 'You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' here and not go home alone. My better half and I retreat here when we want a quiet afternoon Stella served arctic cold in a divey neon haze. An oasis refreshingly absent of waxed mustaches or selective-outrage politics, the Bartenders are engaging, thoughtful, and delightfully lacking in the typically jaded dead-end aura served up elsewhere. Hot fries and savory bar-burgers roll out in those welcoming red-baskets with the red n white picnic-pattern paper we love. I imagine it is one thing you dream of looking out the window on the ride home from Afghanistan. In fact, If the Cheeseburger here were any more American it'd be made of Eagle-meat and have a screaming jet engine. Pro-Tip: If you spot a Serviceman/Woman and the opportunity arises, buy 'em a beer or at least thank them for their service. Much of the important work they do is unlikely to ever reach the headlines. A good story is sure to follow. "The true champion of justice, if he intends to survive even for a short time, must necessarily confine himself to private life and leave politics alone." -- Socrates

I don't go to Danny's to drink or to shoot pool; I go to eat a Slamburger (quarter pound) or a Superslam (half pound).

The service was excellent so that's all I'm going off of. The menu did look pretty fire though, so I'd be willing to give it another shot cause for all intents and purposes, the other people in the restaurant seemed to be really enjoying the food! But anyways... I'm a skillet cookie connoisseur. Any place that has a skillet cookie, I'm going there SOLEY to order it. If I ever get married, instead of having cake, my guests will be having skillet cookies for dessert instead. Some might say I love skillet cookies even more than Scottie Scheffler. My love for skillet cookies runs deeper than the Mariana trench and I've been to more than (at least) 11 restaurants to exclusively try them out. With that out of the way... I'm horrified to report this is the worst skillet cookie I've ever had in my entire life. It somehow felt overcooked, yet undercooked at the same time. It was also like they cooked it at an angle. Because it awkwardly occupied 3/4ths of the skillet. It had the consistency of a cake but the taste of a cookie? It was like they couldn't decide whether or not they wanted to make a cake or a cookie. So instead, they decided to half bake something that was in between. I couldn't believe it. It was also completely lacking in the chocolate chip department. All in all, this skillet cookie had a worse performance than Michael Jordan during his high school varsity tryouts. I'll admit it too... I completely lied to the waitress when she came over and asked me how the cookie was. Instead of telling her the truth, I gave her two thumbs up and said, " it's good!".... It was not good. It was terrible! I'm a coward.

The bar in the restaurant is great, with a couple of nice TVs for sports, and the somewhat dark, basement-oriented style of the restaurant is really cool and unique. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Grilled Bacon & Blistered Shishito Pepper Burger. While the burger looked delicious, and tasted decent, I had higher hopes for it. I was wanting the burger to be a bit more juicy and spicy. While there is some room for improvement there, it's definitely still a place I'll be back to!

The hotel dates back to 1888 and has hosted celebrities, royalty, and U.S. presidents over the years. It was also famously featured in the movie Some Like It Hot with Marilyn Monroe. Knowing some of that history made it even more interesting to visit. The property is absolutely gorgeous and sits right on the beach with beautiful ocean views. Sun Deck itself is really cute, spacious, and has plenty of seating, making it a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. One important heads-up: valet parking is $49. We were initially told that parking could be validated at the restaurant, but unfortunately that was not the case, so just be prepared for the parking cost. We actually ended up at Sun Deck by mistake while trying to find another restaurant. Once we realized we were at the wrong place, we decided to stay and have a cocktail instead of ordering food. I ordered a spicy margarita, and honestly, it was one of the best margaritas I've had in a very long time. It was absolutely delicious and perfectly made. Jessica took care of us, and she was wonderful. She has such a sweet, bubbly personality and was very informative and genuinely fun to talk to. She also makes an amazing margarita! If you get a chance, ask for Jessica -- you won't be disappointed. Although we didn't get a chance to try the food, we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the gorgeous ocean views, and our drinks. Between the beautiful historic hotel, beachfront location, spacious outdoor seating, and great cocktails, Sun Deck is definitely a nice place to stop and enjoy the Coronado scenery.

First, as expected, it's way overpriced for what it is. It'll cost you at least $30+ for any salad or entree. Got the grilled chicken naan, which was basically an explosion of ingredients. Messiest meal at the Del by far :P At least the fries were crispy and solid. Kids did enjoy their cheeseburgers. It was no frills, pretty standard.
