Cocktail: The Duchess Guac and Salsa
    Rachel S.

Super cute swanky rooftop location across the street from Hotel Del. We actually had reservations for Golden Hour Cocktails and ended up arriving an hour prior due to our unpleasant time at the Sun Deck at Hotel Del. The hostess was super friendly and there was no issue getting us seated even though we were super early. I ordered the Duchess cocktail, and it was super delicious, could've easily had multiple. The Shrimp Al Pastor tacos were divine, something about blue corn tortillas just makes tacos taste better! My son, husband and sister all ordered the Wagyu burger and devoured it, first time I've seen pimento cheese on a burger and it really set it off. I wish I could've taken pics of the food but we were starved after traveling all day and quite literally inhaled the food upon arrival.

The drinks and patio are nice here, but the food is very average/mid for the prices. I would come back for a pre-dinner cocktail before eating somewhere else, at the insistence of someone who hadn't been here before, and that's it.

Loved the vibe and ambiance at the Dive. It's a cute rooftop bar at the Bowen, that sort of has the same aesthetics as the Waverly in Encinitas. Great list of cocktails of which I enjoyed the PSM (pumpkin spiced espresso martini) and Lights, Camera, Action (vodka, passionfruit, licor 43, and egg white). The Smoking Lotus was okay and didn't really taste the calamansi come though. The Duchess was a nice gin drink, simple and refreshing. The avocado salad was good but would ask for the dressing on the side next time, as this was a bit overdressed for me. Octopus wasn't bad, nice romesco sauce with potatoes. Service was friendly and food and drinks came out in a timely manner. Would def come back for drinks and a view again and it's right next to the Hotel Del. Found parking right across from Miguel's.

From the moment we sat down at the Bower The Dive the experience was incredible. Manny, Reyna and Vanessa went above and beyond with their service and hospitality. I literally left a resort where drinks and food were complimentary just to come here, and I don't regret it for a second. Worth every dime. Can't wait to come back.

The first rooftop bar in Coronado and it's amazing! From the views of both the bay, ocean, and the Del, you are surrounded by beautiful scenery! The drinks were yummy! Try the tiki temptress, it packs a punch but is perfectly fruity! Amarillis was the sweetest server and made our experience so much better

This popped up as a new rooftop bar so I had to give it try! I saw somewhere that Happy Hour was from 4-6 pm but I made reservations in advance for 6pm just in case I didn't make it in time. When I arrived, amidst looking for parking in the 4th of July weekend, I was told that the Happy Hour wasn't available! So basically, I was rushing for nothing. The hostess did say she might mention something to the manager to at least waive a drink or discount for the hassle but it never came into fruition. The menu is not extensive and if you want something substantial, there are only a few items that would make you full. I opted for the Gold + Black, since I've had other versions of this in other high end restaurants. The chicken nuggets were super crispy and I can taste a little of caviar. More would be better though or even bigger pearled caviar so that you can taste it more. Also, something to go with the nuggets like a side of fries would make this dish even better. I tasted the sliders, which were okay, although quite filling. My favorite were the fries because it was super crispy and you get quite a lot. The drinks were pretty good and refreshing and I loved the view! Service was kinda slow but it is a holiday weekend. Highly recommend reservations but it appears that ppl weren't waiting too long for their seats. Price point is on the higher end because of the view and the fact that it's right next to Hotel Del.

Run rooftop bar across from the Del. I've heard good things and they seem to be true. The food on the menu looks good but just here for a drink before our flight.

Came here for some birthday drinks for one of my girlfriends and had a great time. Pretty view and great location walking distance to lots of fun spots in Coronado. Our bartender was kind enough to bring out a birthday shot/shooter for the table. Friendly staff and good drinks.

This place is very cute! I love the vibe here, right across the Coronado hotel. It's very small. Food was great, calamari salad and good drinks. Services was a bit slow, but I would come back for the spot.

Dive is supposedly the only rooftop bar and restaurant on Coronado Island. It's located on the top level of the Bower Hotel which is across the street from the Hotel Del Coronado. Because it faces south, the view is mainly of the Hotel Del and then the ocean off in the distance. Enter the external elevator to the right of the driveway and press the button to reach the fourth floor. The bar was to the right when you exited. It had eight seats and across from that were a few round high-top tables. To the left was more seating, some of which was under canopy cover. Because I came for dinner, a one-page menu entitled "Sunset Snacks & Supper Starts" was handed to me after I sat down at a high-top. Nine small/large plates, two salads, and three desserts were listed. I ordered the Dive Melt Sliders which featured a set of three mini burgers containing American wagyu, habanero jack cheese, caramelized onion, and mustard aioli. A side of Bower Fries came with the order. The thick cut spuds were sprinkled with dive seasoning, and a cup of herb aioli was provided for dipping. One reason why my rating wasn't higher was that after a waitress placed my order, she never came back to check on me. Only when the bartender took the time to come around the counter to ask how I was doing, that was when I inquired about the status of my food. It was over 20 minutes from ordering to when I received a platter. The place was less than half full so the delay wasn't because the kitchen was slammed. The sliders were okay, nothing special. I actually liked the fries better because they were extra crispy from being double fried. The aioli was the perfect dip for these fries. Based on the food quality, price, and service, I gave a 3.5 star rating for my dining experience at Dive.

Dive is a a cute rooftop bar to grab a drink on a beautiful day! Cocktails were good and drinks overall were very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend visiting this place especially on a sunny day!

Went to the Naval Base Coronado and after we had Breakfast at DIVE. This Dive is a rooftop bar and restaurant located at the Bower Hotel with a beautiful view of the Ocean and Hotel Del. Dive is the only Rooftop Bar and Restaurant so far in Coronado. Upon arriving, the Valet directed us to the Elevator, and pressed 4R to to go straight up to Dive. Got seated right away and gave us a menu to choose from their Breakfast and Lunch , my wife chose Breakfast. We ordered a Spinach SMOOTHIE, LEMON LOX TARTINE, and DIVE BREAKFAST PLATTER. My Wifey love her Spinach smoothies, my Dive Breakfast platter size portion was in a big plate, and everything was good except for the weird sausage, I hope they change it coz it has a weird taste, it's hard to explain it but it is not what I wanted. My Wife Lox Tartine, the salmon on red onion marmalade was good and so was the Salmon on lemon creme fraiche. But eating the Salmon by itself was way too Salty, like eating Salt! I hope on our next visit that part of the Salmon is less saltier. Service was quick, Food is so and so, and we didn't have a hard time looking for parking. Summer is almost here, I hope they added a few umbrellas coz there were only 3 ones there when we came and I had to move one closer to us coz we kind of burning already from the Sun, or maybe consider putting an Awning. The view is nice with a nice breeze.

Damn. Perfect experience. Hard to admit they did 100% right 100% of the time. We were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. This is a tapas place and we took good advantage of this and had the yellowtail crudo and house made ponzu. Wow to the tenth power. The fish tacos were an 9.5 out of 10 Now... $12 for fries?!?! Spendy but wow again. Worth it. Seriously. Get them. Side plates are warm which is a nice thing as the food stays warm. We were not rushed. Each course came out in a timely and paced manner. Our server, Courtney, was amazing. Steered us towards the best options and drinks. Speaking of- 10 out of 10 there, too. Not sure what else can be said. I was in food service for years and to tonight they exceeded all expectations. Go. Enjoy.

Thank u for the good food and service

The setting was breathtaking...! Sweeping views of the Pacific, elegant coastal decor, string lights, and swaying palms creating the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. Our cocktails were light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, made with freshly muddled berries. Service from Brett was impeccable from start to finish; warm, attentive, and professional. Instead of the usual appetizer + entrée route, we decided to build our entire meal around a selection of appetizers so we could sample more dishes. It was an excellent choice! Variety really is the spice of life. We started with the house sourdough focaccia: warm, spongy, and perfectly golden, served with a flavorful dipping sauce that we couldn't stop eating. The crispy saganaki was golden and addictive, with bright, complementary flavors. The crispy calamari was light, perfectly fried, and tossed with capers, fresh herbs, and a zesty lemon-chili aioli. We finished with the garlic harissa chicken kabob: tender, well-seasoned chicken with a tangy harissa yogurt, served with warm flatbread and roasted vegetables. Every bite was fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully executed. From the stunning ocean views and creative coastal cuisine to the warm hospitality, Seréa delivered a memorable experience. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that, while the experience and ambiance were amazing, the drinks are definitely on the pricier side. tldr: going to think about this place for the next year until i can return again…read more we stopped in for some appetizers and drinks after walking for a few miles visiting coronado. we needed some fuel for the drive back to the city. it wasn't a planned stop, but we happened to walk past it and decided to turn back around for a quick snack/drink (best decision) service: so friendly! from the hostess, to our server (the receipt might've said his name was angel?). he was so kind and checked up on us several times, but wasn't "pestering". whenever i started to get low on my water, he would come refill it. i watched him take care of his other tables and he was so attentive!! bathrooms: super clean! multiple stalls. the individual doors showed if they were occupied or not. and finally, the food: i told the waiter i would be dreaming about the flautas and i was not lying. he told us they just recently changed the menu and there were taquitos, but those were removed and they recently brought in these flautas and holy moly. they hit the spot. so delicious!! i almost cried. if we didn't already have plans for dinner later that night, i would've ordered 2-3 more plates of these. the salsa was amazing. not chunky, not watery. just perfect!!! had some spice but not uncomfortable. the queso was soo good too! everything tasted so fresh. food came out quickly but not suspiciously so. drinks: refreshing! i got an aloha tea and my sister got the poolside pop margarita. overall, would absolutely come back. in fact, i would come back to coronado for only this meal. 10/10.

It's more of a modern, Americanized take on Mexican food. That said, the cheese balls on my salad were absolutely delicious! The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere, making it a nice spot to relax and enjoy a drink. The service, however, could have been more attentive. We had several different servers during our visit, so I never really knew who our main waiter was. We even had to flag someone down just to get our bill. Overall, the food was good, the ambiance was enjoyable, and it's a great place to grab drinks and watch a game. With more attentive service, it would have been an even better experience.
