Our first time here. We were loving the views and looking forward to a leisurely lunch on a beautiful sunny day. The sign at the entrance said to seat yourself so we chose our table on the patio. We waited 20 minutes before anyone asked if we wanted a menu. We were prepared to order because we had already checked out the menu on our phones. Our server was pleasantly surprised. We ordered and got our drinks quickly. All the servers were very friendly. Nearby, I noticed a table of 4 people arrived around the same time we did. When they got their meals I figured we'd get ours soon. It was 25 mins later when our orders finally arrived. Meanwhile, another table of four arrived and got their food within about 20 mins. This was not the leisurely we had in mind. LOL My friend got the steak frites and I the smokehouse burger with onion rings. We were hungry at this point and ready to enjoy our meal but, unfortunately, it took another 7 mins for his steak knife to arrive. Yes I started checking out my watch. A couple of mins later our sweet server asked how was everything. I shared that I had only tried the onion rings so far and they were delicious. Then I cut my burger in half and to my surprise my medium rare burger was well done. Bummer but I ate it anyway. I didn't want to wait 20 mins for a replacement burger. My friend kept laughing as he struggled to cut his steak frites served in a pasta bowl! He didn't ask to change plates because, by then, he had waited an hour to dig into our meals. When we finished our server chit chatted a bit and I decided to let her know that my burger was well done. She was shocked because she remembered I asked for medium rare. Feast and Fareway was a special place my fiancé and I went to the day before his deployment. We had good salads and THE OVERALL BEST calamari I've ever had! Only thing was the plate was too small. I wish I had more!! Then we went for brunch and had a nice big bowl of Greek yogurt with berries and the bacon was a bit more burnt than we'd like, eggs were awesome though! My cousin and I wanted to get brunch with views and I'm so glad we found this place! The view of the golf course and the Coronado bridge at the same time is unbeatable here in San Diego. The downside was that the service was extremely slow and our coffee was not as hot/warm as I expected it to be. It was good, but I like my coffee coming out extremely warm. The host and waitress were very friendly. Love that the entire space is dog friendly. The view is mostly of the course (which is lovely) and you can see people golfing or driving by in carts. They serve brunch until 3pm and I got the blue crab and crawfish Benedict. My egg was a bit overdone (the yolk was hard). We also shared truffle fries which were delicious. Years ago I had the best fish tacos here. Guess this is new restaurant/chef or??? Totally inedible! The batter was just a soggy mess of "something" but can't describe it. I scraped it off and found just a tiny bit of fish inside. It too was barely OK and not much flavor/taste. Now I wished I just sent it back to let the "cook" be aware of this failed dish. Great Lunch Alternative to Hotel Del Prices My wife and I drove over to Coronado to explore the area and grab some lunch. After cruising around the island for a bit, we found a parking spot and walked along the beach. Eventually we got hungry and thought we'd check out the Hotel del Coronado. We looked at a few menus but quickly realized the prices were just way too high. I understand it's a high-dollar area, but dropping $100 on lunch wasn't what we had in mind. So we jumped in the car, pulled up Yelp, and found Feast and Fairway--figured we'd give it a shot. I didn't realize it was located at a golf course until we pulled into the lot. The restaurant was fairly busy, but we were seated right away. Our server quickly took our drink order while we looked over the menu. It was a Monday, and we were pleasantly surprised by how reasonably everything was priced. My wife ordered the Cobb salad and I went with the bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. The food came out looking great, and everything tasted just as good. The burger was cooked perfectly, the onion rings were crispy, and even the pickles were solid. While we ate, we enjoyed watching people play golf--until a surprise downpour sent everyone running for cover. Some kept playing through it, which was fun to watch. Even with drinks and tip, our bill didn't hit $50. Feast and Fairway is a great spot if you're looking for a good meal without the steep Coronado price tag. My family and I came here on a Sunday for brunch. I think we got the last table because other people had to wait. The service was so bad. My cousin's food came out way before everyone else's. She was done eating about 15 minutes before the other food came out. Food wasn't good. The traditional benedict was bland and the egg wasn't as runny. Potatoes and pancakes were dry. I love this golf course, but I find Feast and Fairway so meh. I still go everytime I golf, so maybe they have a captive audience and don't need to be better. Don't get me wrong, the service is great, The ambiance is fine, with that view and space, how could it not be? BUT...the food and drinks just don't stand out at all. The food is just ok, not great. Obviously after 18 holes, everything tastes good, but you wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the F&F cheeseburger and a food truck burger. The tacos may be worse than a food trucks. The beer line up is from 2012, so nothing exciting there. I usually get margaritas or Old Fashions. They're fine, but not amazing. I had their SHRIMP & GRITS here before, but on our second time here my husband ordered it for himself. I like how their shrimp & grits are not greasy or salty, it's just well seasoned. My Son's BACON OMELET its just a typical Scrambled egg with good potatoes and bacon . It was a nicely done scrambled egg. She seemed uninterested, and provided a guesstimate on what my price would be without even asking me anything about what I was looking for. Almost like she thought I was too poor so why waste her time. You would think that for a potential client a with a budget of $20k, she'd show a little more interest. But then again it's Coronado, maybe she only likes to work with clients who are worth millions. Definitely didn't book there, and of course she never followed up. read more

Such a fun, relaxing restaurant with great views of the bridge and golf course. We sat outside and enjoyed the shade and view in the beautiful December afternoon. It was quiet on a weekday lunch and we had basically the entire outdoor area to ourselves. It was very casual and you can come in any regular clothes to have lunch. The food tasted great and the drinks were refreshing and well-priced. This place is really quite a hidden gem. The salmon salad was delicious and the appetizer of Quesadilla with salmon and guacamole was also good. It is such a lovely area and bright and happy. Would love to go back. We held a celebration of life at the venue. The planning and response from the team was timely and very well planned - right down to calls to plan the layout. The view from the patio and the table set up - allowed us to enjoy the gorgeous sunny day but also be covered and cool with a gentle breeze. We chose to do hot passed apps (high praise for the fried ravioli and bruschetta) and a buffet with sandwiches, pasta salad, charcuterie and hummus for 50. The food was good. The issue we ran into was service. I never actually met or could find the day of event coordinator. The food on the buffet ran out - and I had to chase down the servers to get it refilled but things were not ready to immediately put on the buffet (e.g. pita bread had to be prepared?). The hot passed apps came out slowly from the kitchen - which I think distracted the servers from being able to ensure the buffet was filled. We had preordered a Vegan meal and had to follow up 3 times before the meal made it out to our guest. Was disappointed with the flow from the kitchen. I might go back as an individual diner - I'm not sure I'd book another event at this location. read more
