After seeing mixed reviews, I decided to try Danny's. I ordered a small pizza with spinach and eggplant. The spinach was good but there was so little on the pizza, I was surprised. The eggplant was cooked well and tasty. The pizza crust tasted like a cardboard grinder roll. The sauce was lacking in amount used and in flavor. We were quite disappointed. One of our reguar spots! I honestly can't tell you what the inside of this place looks like we always get the food delivered when were in the area at friends. We've had the pizza and the sandwiches and its consistently great. Hawaiian was really good but I usually go for the wraps which are pretty tasty for a pizza place. I used to really like dannys untill i was stuck working a double shift at enfield mall, I was really in mood for dannys when i called to place my order they refused to deliver " that far" they deliver to somers but not 7 min down the rd.!! I order a grinder and was told the wait was 1hr and 15 min so I came to the restaurant 1hr and 30 min later, only to wait another 45 min. Reason being they only made half my grinder, but while I stood there with no seats available no one informed me of this. Other customers had come in ordered and left with their food, then when I asked about my order was given attitude by the staff,because they were busy I should expect my good in a timely manner or proper customer service, I don't believe so. Your mozzarella sticks aren't even sticks they r rectangles why would you call them sticks? I ate them thinking they would the same as a mozzarella stick, but I am lactose intolerant and just 3 "sticks" gave me explosive diarrhea and my dog wouldnt even eat the sticks. read more

This place seems way too hyped up, from the miserable owner to the mediocre at best food this place barely earns the two stars I'm giving it. I recently ordered one large sub and an order of potato skins, I was told 50 minutes it would be ready, I was shocked at how long it could take for such a simple order but I went ahead and placed it anyways. I showed up exactly 50 minutes later and my order still was not ready, I had to wait in the restaurant an additional 23 minutes for them to finish making my order, all while with my newborn baby. I am surprised. I don't come for lunch. Dinnertime service is better. I ordered a grinder. One piece of turkey, one piece of ham, it was cold when I asked for warmed thru. I asked for oil and vinegar. No vinegar. Normally a gentleman makes the grinders. He will stuff them and warm them thru. I guess the lady who was making them had no quality control or training to ensure it was the best. It was slow in there so how can it be this bad. Where's the lettuce? I have always been a sucker for Danny's Pizza for their amazing Chef Salad and their Garlic Bread. The portion sizes for the price is above and beyond, definitely worth it. I love the amount of turkey, ham and roast beef on the chef salad and the sauce that comes with the garlic bread is a great addition! Today's lunch was excellent. My only critique is the lettuce has some browning, could be fresher and it would be great if they used mixed greens instead of iceberg. Firstly I will say that I tried the pizza here before after reading the reviews and would say that it is okay. I had to delivered to me here in Enfield before. The reason for the two start review is that when I called today to see about getting another pizza, they stated that I live outside the delivery area.....? I am only about 3 miles away, if the place says they deliver, they should at least make a point of stating where they deliver to; I found it rather annoying and because of the lack of communication, won't be ordering pizza here again. read more

Came in with a group of about 20 people to have a birthday dinner for my 92 year old nana. The staff were accommodating and super friendly- they went above and beyond. Boyfriend enjoyed the pizza (which he never gets to eat because I can't eat pizza!) I had a med rare burger with no bun and it was a cooked perfect and super fresh. The owner sent over a round of wines which was super nice and a great touch. Some of my family eats here every Friday and rave about the grinders and the fish and chips. Pizzas are as good as you can get in the area. Grinders are out of sight! Huge and always on fresh bread. I've tried other places around here and have not found anything to compare. Well we went back to Danny's last night and picked up our dinner that we called ahead to order. And I can say with out a doubt in my mind Danny's is the best pizza joint in Enfield. We will not eat at another pizza place, no one compares! We ordered a Philly steak and cheese grinder and first let me start by saying I was born and raised in Philly and cheesteaks are harshly judged by me whenever I eat out. Danny's cheeseteak sub was delicious, flavorful and huge I might add it did not disappoint! We also ordered the Philly chicken sub which was equally delicious and flavorful. The bread was big and held all of the delicious chicken, steak and toppings. The kids loved their meals as well. My son said the meatball grinder was the BEST he's ever had, besides moms of course lol And our 3 year old loved her kids corner chicken and fries meal which was very generous with the chicken and fries. While we are on the subject of fries OMG these fries are crispy and crunchy and so soft in the center and seasoned well. I wanted to eat more of the ok I wanted to eat all of them lol. The only thing we didn't scarf down were the potatoe wedges if they had to coating the fries did maybe they would have been better for us but they were ok, the flavor was there we just like our fries crispy. How can you be a) that inconsistent and b) not cover the town in which your business resides for delivery? The pizza itself is okay. Crust is a little thick for my liking.
