Pepperoni, hamburger, and black olive medium pizza
    Kaitlynn H.

Came in at 7:15 when they close at 8 but they were SO accommodating (we offered to leave and the waitress was beyond sweet). The pizza was phenomenal, crispy crust and piping hot. The outside of this place doesn't it do it justice!

$37 for both large Cheese and combo.

This doesn't look like much from the outside and the inside but the pizza is pretty dang good. It's a staple whenever we're in town. My fiancé has been getting pizza here since he was a child and I can see why. So, if you like a more doughy pizza this is for you, I personally prefer a more thin crust. Overall it's always been good, the sauce is flavorful and the crust has good texture with the right amount of chewiness to it. Lastly my friends if your lactose intolerant like myself brace yourself lol. The cheese is definitely freshly grated in store and not like those other pizza joint where they use pre shredded cheese in a bag. You could taste the difference and in my case it was worth it since my body does not process dairy well. Big Steeler energy here, you been warn lol.

    Perfect pizza.

This has always been my favorite pizza. I've been coming here for 40 years. Seriously. That said - it really comes down to personal style preference. If you want New Haven style, or thin crust, or Sicilian, or Chicago deep dish, or Greek - this isn't going to be at the top of your list. This is sort of unique. It's thicker than NY style but thinner than Sicilian. A softer crust. More sauce than the average pizza joint. .... It's perfect to me. All the things I want.

    9.00 worth of Jalapeño Poppers

Pizza is ok, we get it from time to time, potato skins are good, ordered jalapeño poppers this last trip and was very disappointed with the fact that they were almost 9 dollars and I received 5 small poppers, not sure when and if we will be going back....

The other reviewers were right to say that the pizza is very doughy. If that's not for you, then I suggest you pass. However, I like doughy pizza. But even this was a bit much for me (hence -1 Star). We ordered a pepperoni and onion pizza. The onion were in the cheese, so they were difficult to pick out for the onion haters in my household. I thought they were great. Not raw but not caramelized either.

    Sausage and mushroom pizza.

Today I ordered a fantastic pizza from ADs. It was sausage and mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious, authentic Italian sauce.

16" Pizza with ample toppings (asked for pepperoni only on one half) and cheese. Great taste.

This restaurant is a little bit away from anything, at least on the Saturday evening we turned up there, the area seemed dead. At least that Saturday it seemed like they weren't really prepared for dine in customers: the restaurant was barely lit, just the bar where the chef or owner and another guy belonging to the restaurant crew were hanging out had the lights on. But as we walked in, they turned on the lights. Which made the place not so much nicer as the interior is quite dated and the whole place found need a makeover. We were the only guests there then, but as we were there we ordered a pizza and some waters as drinks. They have a full selection of sodas, beers and hard liquor too. While we were waiting on our pizza, we could frequently see people coming in to pick up food. And the phone was frequently ringing too, I guess from customers calling in to order for pick-up. So I guess this place has mostly take-away business and less dine in. However as we were enjoying our pizza three more guys came in and ordered pizza and beer to eat in. Okay, enough about the place and it's mediocre state. Let's talk about their pizza. I simply have to say that their pizza is great. It's been the best I've had in a while. American style with thicker crust and dough, good amount of toppings (got spinach, tomato, olives, pepperoni). Great taste and good crust - a pizza you can pick up a slice and it won't bend because of being soggy, but dough also not burnt or dry - just everything right! And the 16" pizza we ordered was enough for the two of us and the leftovers we asked to box up served us as lunch the next day. All this for $24 including tip, which I considered a fair deal. Would I go there again when in the area? Definitely yes, not for the place, but for the pizza!

Horrible dough!! Overproofed and undercooked. We've tried this place multiple times cause we love their sauce but their pizza dough is just awful!! Also had to use paper napkins to soak up puddles of grease from a cheese pizza! What the heck. Won't be returning.

Greeted warmly, I placed my order for a Polish plate, consisting of Golobki (stuffed cabbage) a generous serving of kielbasa with sauerkraut, and three pierogi. Rye bread was served on the side. I also got a green tea to wash it all down with. All this was around $15 plus the tip. Let me tell you, the reason why I said it was like going to my mother's house was this place is culture at its finest for the Polish heritage I absolutely loved the Kielbasa and sauerkraut, and the pierogi were out of this world and you could tell they were homemade with love. The Golobki was good. If I said it was better than my mother's, there would be hell to pay! Serving containers of spicy mustard for the kielbasa, sour cream for the pierogi, and a beautiful horseradish sauce was for whatever your pleasure. This had a kick and it was amazing. The restaurant is super clean, and decorated with lots of thought. I loved the menu. I thought the many choices were to be ordered on the future times I frequent this place Now I see all the rave this place has, and this could be a regular stop. Thanks again Belvedere of East Windsor for your gracious service and delicious food. You are well deserving of the five stars. Until next time!

On April 11, I rushed my family off the plane in order to get to these guys to grab a quick-but-tasty dinner before embarking on the remaining two hours of our long day of travel back to Westport. We arrived at 7:30 PM, 30 minutes before closing. Unfortunately, rather than having great pizza, great fried chicken, and an amazing grinder, we were instead served what felt more like the food that comes off of a gas station countertop diner than it did a restaurant that has WOW'd me in the past with they're fantastic food and friendly service. The greeting we received when we walked in; even though it was 30 minutes before closing, was less than enthusiastic to see us... it was clear right off the bat that everybody behind the counter was far more concerned about having their key in the front door at 7:59 then they were delivering great food and service. The grinder was OK. The fried chicken was pliable, but a couple of the pieces we ordered were dried out and shriveled up from sitting too long. The slices of pizza that we ordered, the guy didn't even bother, warming them up. Just pulled them out of the pizza slice case and threw them into a box... either that or if he did attempt to warm them up, they must've already turned the ovens off, and they threw it into a cold oven. A word of advice for the management of this restaurant, if you want to be out the door by 8 PM, close your restaurant at 7 PM so nobody comes in and bothers you all while you're trying to clean. To be fair, if you're thinking about this restaurant as a great stop for lunch, I would still recommend it as the food is ordinarily pretty good (and fresh at that time ) I've eaten here several times and I've never been disappointed.

"I walked in, the baker said everything was sold I found out…read moreshe saved me some sweet jelly roll Yes, the baker shop boogie" (Willie Nix) Since we're friends, let me ask you a personal question--so tell me this: what's your official dessert policy? Are you a "dessert is a human right" kind of person who enjoys something sweet every night after dinner? Do you ceremoniously pair your evening coffee with a treat like it's a sacred ritual? Or are you more of a free range snacker who grazes on cookies and pastries whenever the mood strikes? At our place, we've somehow drifted into the habit of having a bakery item most nights. Could be a cookie. Could be a pastry. Could be a slice of something. All this brings me to yesterday's visit to the Hartford Baking Company in South Windsor, where we are now pretty well stocked for a week's worth of upcoming desserts, and maybe a breakfast or two. They have four locations in the Greater Hartford area, all selling the same amazing product line of bread, ciabatta, and rolls. But for the sweet tooth fiends out there, well get psyched for their scones, muffins, Walnut Coffee Cake, Financiers (a French almond cookie), brownies and bars, cookies, biscotti, shortbreads, Danish, Cinnamon buns, Pecan-Walnut Sticky Buns, Brioche Pastries, fruit tarts, and quiches. We were running errands in South Windsor yesterday, popped into Hartford Baking, and walked out with a bounty of wonderful looking goodies- brownies, a croissant, a chocolate banana muffin, a rectangular Financier, and a slice of coffee cake. We should be set for a while in the dessert department. I had the Financier last night, and never having heard of the word before, I consulted the old Google machine for some research and found a very cool origin-story. In the late 1800's there was a pastry shop located near the Paris Stock Exchange. The shop sold very popular small almond cakes that were baked in small rectangular molds resembling gold bars. They were a hit with the busy bankers who frequented his shop. The name "financier" stuck because of both the clientele and the gold bar shape. I have to tell ya, that Financier was amazing. It was dense and delicious and overflowing with almond flavor. I loved it. I also had a teense of the Banana Muffin this morning, and it was excellent as well. Loved that banana flavor and those chocolate chips. OK, so file away "Hartford Bakery" on your short list of "must visit" dessert destinations, because I assure you that you'll walk out a satisfied customer.
