Ordered pizza and salad from here on our first day. The pizza truly was New York style as advertised. I am not a huge fan of New York style but the reviews were better than most other pizza places. We ordered while we were getting groceries next door because who wants to cook after buying groceries. It was very convenient for this reason. There were plenty of leftovers as the pizzas were very large. Salad was fresh and we all liked the dressing. I hear it was a great fourth meal at 4am. read more

Awesome pizza, I always order it crispy. The entrees are always good. It is so hard to decide to decide what to get with all the smells & looking at everyone else's plates. My only complaint is that if people order entrees or subs and pizzas they don't come out same time because of the different ovens. read more

When I called to make the pickup order the lady was nice and according to the receipt she put everything in correctly which is good. The Pizza was okay, but we ordered pepperoni and onion and there was barely any onion, about 2 little pieces of onion per slice. Additionally, we ordered wings and they asked what sauce we wanted but then they didn't put any sauce on them. They also asked if we wanted ranch which we requested 2 cups of it and didn't give us any although it says 2 ranch's on the receipt. Meatball sub was nothing special. All you need to know is that we are now planning random weekend overnights just to get this pizza again. It won over the meat loving NY style guys and the vegetarian white style pizza loving girls. Even the "compromise" regular cheese pizza was gone before anyone had time to claim leftovers. Super delicious and I am so glad our original dinner plans fell through. They didn't deliver to Anna Maria island so we had to go pickup but it was an easy drive and well worth it. The dough was perfectly soft and not to thick, the sauce was incredible and the toppings were generous. I am salivating thinking about going back already! Dropped in after reading a few reviews about how good this place was and it didn't disappoint. The fried mushrooms on special were outstanding - my 10 year old who doesn't like mushrooms asked, "why do these taste so delicious?" Mozzerella sticks were cooked perfectly - $8 for 5 is a bit high, but no complaints on taste. Enjoyed the greek salad. Wife loved the veggie pizza and the NY Style large pie was plenty of food. I don't know what happened, the pizza I ordered was not close of what I ordered!!. I wanted a thin crust, with pepperoni!. What I received was a THICK crust, cheese that was almost as thick as the crust. We reside about 8 miles from your business,so we call ahead and we were told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We got there in 20 minutes, but we had to wait 20 more minutes. When we got home, cheese was all over the box. This was very disturbing, I think someone dropped the ball ! Sooo I spoke with an employee and pressed them for answers. Danny is gone and the reason the original employees have left is because the new owner has gotten rid of them one by one. Employee X also told me that they thin out the sauce. Honestly, these people are dumb AF!. I cannot believe how dead it was compared to before. What a loss this is to NW Bradenton!. I did hear that DANNY may be at another pizza place on Cortez. I'll find him! Shame on you new owners for ruining a great restaurant and deceiving the customers and pushing out the original workers! Good pizza is hard to find and as someone born and raised in NY we were delighted to have stumbled upon Danny's. Though not the best pizza ever tasted, it is as good as it's going to get here - which says a lot. The pizzas come in various sizes, and ours came out perfectly crisp. The sauce and cheese ratio was fantastic and there was not too much grease, but just enough to be authentically delicious. The add one are in great proportion, not too much, not too little. The knots are crunchy, chewy garlicky yummy goodness. And every employee I encountered was so nice. We liked this venue inside (nice look) and the service was prompt and friendly. They had the football game on the big screen (we arrived on a Sunday night at 7:20pm) and it didn't hurt that Dallas lost against the 49'ers. We did struggle with the timing. They close at 8pm and make no mistake about it, they close at 8pm on Sunday night! We knew this and ordered promptly thinking it would give us time. They were piling the chairs on the tables while we were finishing our meal (eating as fast as we could). The food was average, not bad, not great. I had a pasta dish that did not have much flavor so I asked for some parmesan which helped (they had the dry kind in a shaker not freshly ground cheese). My husband said his pizza crust did not have much taste. Overall this is a solid choice for a sit down meal with average food. If you are looking for that New York paper thin crispy crust then this is the place. The only thing missing was the oregano baked into the cheese like the pizzas I had in New York growing up. It had to be added afterwards. I've yet to find any NY style pizza that is made with oregano outside of NY State. Ordered a small onion pepperoni pizza. It was delicious -- even without the oregano which was available on the table. Don't recommend the lemonade as it tasted like it was watered down crystal light powdered. This place was busy for a late lunch hour. Looking at the meals delivered to other tables, the servings are large. The prices are reasonable. The wait staff were friendly and accommodating. So very happy that the old owners are back owing it. I have heard the food is the way it used to be. I just have to get back there on a Friday. I miss the two slices and a drink special. The lisences plates that they put on the walls are super neat. I donated two of my father's plates for the owners to put up . Dannys is a.very neat pizzeria. I highly recommend it. Another staple for our vacation. We love coming to this little pizza shop for take out. This time we decided to bring the pup and eat outside on one of their many tables.
