Awesome pizza! Don't care about the rest. Tried some, it's just okay. But pizza is the best in the town!!!

We tried several different appetizers but our favorite was the fried ravioli. The kids like the Mac and Cheese bites. We also have a calzone that was stuffed perfectly and the pizza was long slices. The boneless wings were also good. Greek salad dressing was perfect. The inside is decorated with license plates from everywhere and our kids had fun looking at them all. Service was okay. Pizza in Florida is normally bad so the standards are low. Danny's Pizza's crust flops over as soon as you pick it up. It is flimsy and mushy. Yeah, it's better than Dominos, but this is NOT New York or New Jersey pizza by a long shot. read more

I ordered a beer and my wife asked about whether they had any gluten free beer to which the server said she'd ask and said they did so we ordered it too. Turns out it was a cider and not a Gluten free beer. We then placed our order for a pizza and an antipasto salad with blackened chicken. They were fairly busy and our order was taking a long time. The server asked us if we'd like some garlic knots while we waited and we said sure. We never received the garlic knots. After some time the antipasto salad came but it did not include the blackened chicken. Later, we noticed the table next to us who came in after us received their pizza. They sent it back because it was not what they ordered. We assumed correctly that it was what we ordered. When the server came to our table we asked if that wasn't our pizza and she said yes that she just found that out but they were remaking our pizza. Finally after a significant amount of time the pizza arrived. We told the server to forget about the garlic knots and pointed out the missing blackened chicken. The server said she would make sure the chicken was not on our bill. There were no discounts or anything offered despite all the mess ups. All of that said, the antipasto without the chicken was good and the pizza was one of the best pizza's we've had at Danny's. read more

Under prior management it was one and done for me. Went back this week to see how it was, since it reopened. Danny's quality is definitely back, which makes sense since Danny is back. Everything I had there was like it used to be. Plus they are serving outdoors and much of the old staff is back. Which means it's back on my regular rotation. read more

Stopped in to have pizza and beer. Sounds simple right? We got a cheese pizza and draft beer, meatballs as an appetizer. The meatballs were delicious - fresh and moist. The pizza was scrumptious- thin crust, lots of cheese and sauce - perfectly put together. The beer was crisp and cold. Everything was affordable. The staff was great! First time! Drove over from HB because I'd heard good things. Well it was packed and with good reason, my pepperoni pizza was perfect, the crust just as I ordered it- crispy but with a good dough pull on it, sauce was great balance of garlicky , tomatoey, sweetness. I order delivery from Danny's pretty often. It is without fail the best pizza in town every time. I was compelled to write a review tonight because I recently tried ordering pizza from a different restaurant to try something new and sorely regretted it. To make up for it we got the same thing (buffalo chicken pizza) from Danny's and it was soooo GOOD!! My favorites: Hawaiian (pineapple, ham, and bacon), buffalo chicken, classic pepperoni, and supreme. I usually like white pizza, but Danny's white pizza didn't amaze me like their other options. Something is just missing from it (not enough sauce maybe?) but their other pizzas are so good so I really don't hold it against them. Bella Mia holds the title for best white pizza in town. Danny's is the best for everything else. The crust and sauce flavors are unbeatable. Some extra opinions: Chicken wings = amazing. Fresh and cooked to perfection. Buffalo Chicken tenders = kind of stale. Thick breading. Would not order again. Garlic knots = amazing. I usually don't even eat garlic knots when they're free. Danny's garlic knots are soft and fresh and delicious. Definitely recommend. Delivery service = It's a luxury. I get that. They often forget things like extra napkins or Parmesan packs that you ask for. Minor annoyance. They forgot our soda before. Anyway. Love this place. The overall experience was great! Staff are very friendly. Pizza was as advertised! True NY Style with the right amount of toppings! By far the best New York style pizza in the area. We were pleasantly surprised to happen upon this restaurant. This thin pizza is delicious. You can fold the large pizza pieces in half and experience all its glory. I had a flash back memory of walking down the street in New York City with a slice of cheese pizza folded in half with the cars whizzing past and the horns honking. Anyone who has made spaghetti sauce knows how bitter tomato paste is. Their spaghetti with meatballs came with okay meatballs but a sauce that not only was maybe a cupful on top of a whole pound of spaghetti but tasted like slightly watered down tomato paste. No flavor whatsoever. Awful! It's been awhile since I've been there and was extremely disappointed. Won't be back. read more

Wow! All I can say is I am from New York born and raised and very particular about my pizza and this was GREAT. It tasted like real ny pizza and all of us loved it. The pasta dishes were good as well, the penne vodka and ravioli were big hits. The meatball was good as well. And each pasta dish comes with garlic knots or Italian bread! If you were wondering what my favorite pizza place is in Bradenton, it is Danny's. Just sayin'. Danny's has their newly expanded dining area, so now there is actually seating!!! After teasing us with this dining area for more than six months, we can actually dine in and enjoy ourselves. Why are they my favorite and obviously everyone else's favorite as well? ALL of the food is good. There, I said it. Every bite of food I have ever put into my mouth from Danny's is quality grub, from the; salads, complimentary garlic knots, marinara, pasta, calzones, various specials, and of course the pizza. Pros: The extra cheese I asked for seemed to be added. Cons: It took nearly an hour and a half around 2-3pm in the afternoon on a Thursday to get my order. The Tiramisu tasted as though they literally used canned whipped cream, and topped it with chocolate syrup from a Hershey's bottle. A bit of coffee flavoring in 3 separate spots. Not a tiramisu at all. Not worth the 5.99 it costs maybe 1.99. Felt like I wasted my money. My pepperoni pizza has about 1/2 - 1 full peice pepperoni on each slice. Did they run outta pepperoni? I'd say nowadays that's a possibility, but really. Regular sized pepperoni- not those big ones either- at least that would have made sense. Felt like I wasted my money. The water was Aquafina (which to me is the same as Dasani, but Dasani is slightly better), not a spring water. I should have asked. Could have just drank the tap water. Have ordered Danny's in the past, but unfortunately won't order again. I placed a pizza delivery order today and was told it would take an hour, but took over 2 hours. The pizza/mozzarella sticks were cold when it finally got to me, and it wasn't very good. I ordered a 20oz Diet Pepsi with my order but they brought a regular Pepsi. After waiting an hour and 40 minutes for the delivery I called just for a checkup on the order time estimate and the girl who answers the phone couldn't have cared less. Told me to "have a good one, bye" after expressing a little concern. There are far better pizza options in Bradenton, save yourself and don't get Danny's. read more

New Owners, Food Tanked. As a local, I read a ton of comments on Next Door on how the quality of the food had gone way down after Danny was bought out. We patronize(d) Danny's once a week, so we went to decide for ourselves. Yep. Prices higher (that's ok in today's world) quality on par with a school cafeteria (that's not ok.) No spark to the sauce, cheese was like gooey flour and had no flavor. We were one of 2 pair of diners in the whole place during snowbird season and spring break. Why in the world buy a successful business and proceed to dismantle it? Owner is not addressing complaints or taking any steps to return to Danny's recipes and ingredients. He didn't even keep Danny's staff and has new people. Boy did he break what wasn't broken along with my heart. read more

The cheesesteak was HORRIBLE the bread was cheap crap no monzerrla cheese very little white cheese taste was blaaaa. Burnt bread cheap bread looked like the stick of bread you but at Walmart. POOR QUALITY The server doesn't know what beer on draft so I asked for a bottle of corona the girl needed to check if they sell that. REALLY????? This place was bought out from someone and people say the original owner bought it back THAT CAN'T BE TRUE the quality is HORRIBLE before was good quality.
