I have been going to Danny's tacos for 15 years. I love their pastor until tonight. The tacos they gave me had tiny bits of dried up burnt meat. Not even sure is was pastor but I couldn't eat it. I question if it is the real Danny's because the truck was different and the Danny's sign was super small and they gave me sliced cucumbers with my tacos. Very strange. Maybe Danny sold the business? I'm posting a pick of the truck. It is parked tonight on Grand Ave between Olympic and 11th Street .

I came here because i had 15 minutes to kill. 4 tacos (2 asada, 2 pastor) set me back $13.00. It's a bit steep for a taco truck if you ask me, but everything is going up in price these days. The tacos were just ok. The salsas were better than the tacos, to be honest. I had to ask for 1 green one as i was only given 1 red one. My tip is to ask for green and red salsas prior to leaving. The truck was how most taco trucks look in Los Angeles, if you know what i mean. Service was quick, and communication was efficient. There is no salsa bar or napkins outside the truck, so whatever they give you is what they give you. I had better tacos, but if your in a jam and need a quick bite, this won't disappoint or please. Solid 3 stars.

Came here late at night after hitting up a bar. It was close to my friends place and my friend suggested this spot. Ordered a few tacos to-go and my friend actually heated the tacos in the stove. The tacos were solid but I will admit I was no sober so I think anything would have been delicious at that moment. Looking at the previous reviews for this place, I'm not sure if I can agree with all the negative reviews. Again, I was not sober but from my recollection it was tasty.

I think they have several trucks around the city. Was looking for something quick and hopped out to get this. Prices aren't listen which bugs me but got 2 steak tacos for $6. They were really good and convenient.

    My $5 chips and salsa

So I wanted some simple chips and salsa. There was one woman sitting in the front seat on her phone. I had to ask her to help. I requested chips and salsa, I saw her grab this box and use her bare hands (not washed after sitting up front using her phone). Pulled about one handful of chips and two scoops Of salsa. Let's just say I brought these home and threw them away.... I have bought tacos here 2 times, both were mediocre at best. I figured it would be tough to screw up chips and salsa. They did a great job in messing that up.

Pepe and his brother Jose Jose are horrible. They act like they're helping you and they really know they're about to take a vantage of you. They will recommend whatever... but they know that their food sucks and is expensive. We ordered a steak sandwich that was $15 and there was very very little meat. The meat was as thin as paper but the lettuce was as thick as a chapter book. And we also ordered taquitos with a tablespoon of meat for four taquitos and a tablespoon of beans on the side. But the tortillas were Hella thick and Hella crispy.! Do not order for this place they charged us $27 for those two plates and two brisk teas and we still hungry!

The most disgusting food on earth. Found hair and cockroaches in the burritos. Once has no respect the for the neighborhood and keeps the truck just filthy. Food is so bad that you might as well just throw it out. Don't waste your money on this garbage. McDonald's would serve you better food. Update: My friend didn't listen to me and got really sick eating their garbage. Don't go that crap.

Still trash. No change. Won't go back ever again. Go to El Comelon, except before like 5PM and Sundays.

We stopped by Danny's Tacos before heading to the Novo Theater for a concert. The taco truck is conveniently located next to LA Live, but I would recommend walking there instead of attempting to park anywhere near it. There were a lot of options on the menu, but I just stuck with what I knew and ordered two carne asada tacos. Sadly, they did not have flour tortilla, only corn, which was a bummer. The carne asada was well seasoned and tasted pretty good. Condiments were placed in front of the truck for customers to serve themselves. There was also a bottle of hand sanitizer, which I really appreciated. Overall, Danny's Tacos is decent for a food truck. However, I had to order a certain dollar amount in order to use my credit card. If you want only two tacos, make sure you bring cash!

The menu is quite simple, but beware that no prices are listed on the main menu, but they are on the paper menus. They accept Apple Pay/credit cards. I ordered the asada burrito and the pollo caramelo and added the grilled poblano (as recommended on Yelp!). The tortillas were the true stars -- soft, nice chew, with a buttery mouth feel (probably lard). The fillings were just ok. The inside reminded me of a Taco Bell 7 layer burrito -- a lot going on but all the flavors kinda blend together. I (incorrectly) thought the beans were refried, but they are not. Whatever is going on inside, I didn't find much structure. The burrito was the best. The caramelo was a lazily folded burrito. I read that it was like a quesadilla, but I couldn't disagree more. I would skip this next time. I spent $25 and it was a lot of food, but I wasn't impressed, especially given the hype and the fact that LA should really be the pinnacle of Mexican food. Not sure if I'll make a second trip here.

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs. Parking is tricky since its street parking only.

I've been meaning to try the other items on their menu, but it was so good the first time that I had to order it again. The portions are *very* generous, and they had the usual sides readily available on the side: lemons, cucumbers, sliced radish, grilled onions and peppers, etc. Also had a bite of their corn quesadilla... the tortilla was soooo good. They had the masa on the side and were making the tortillas fresh and by hand. Yum. Payment: - They take Apple pay! :) Parking: - We found street parking nearby thankfully, but it might be hard to find in general due to the area. Seating: - They have seating to the left of their grill (tables, folding chairs, a tarp overhead). Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

Snappy texture. For a mild, sweet fish, this could have been a great canvas for creative flavors. Instead it's just lime-y like the prior dishes. While each dish looked aesthetic, they shared the same acidic flavor profile. I found myself wishing for more creativity and variety in the sauces and seasonings. The seafood quality also needs to be more consistent, especially when serving premium ingredients. Service: Order and pay at the counter, grab a table number, and the staff brings the food out. It was my first visit so I had to get a mix of their tacos and burritos with the various meats they serve. It was a nice fact to know their tortillas have some lard also so it adds a nice flavor as well. + Burrito 2.0 (asada) + Chivichanga (chicken and beef) + Tacos (chorizo, tripe, cabeza, asada) I enjoyed the burrito with asada and thought it was good portion size for the cost. The guac, cheese, and beans pair well with the meat and has a nice grill on the tortilla. The tacos were a solid size as well but I was surprised to find the tripe as my favorite because they fry it and it adds a nice crunch/texture change. The cabeza was a close second with the stewed flavors. The chivichangas were also tasty but not the traditional chimichanga I was anticipating. It's definitely on the softer side as everything mixes together and there's not much of a texture change. Worth trying if you are curious though. I ordered to go so I didn't see if they have a salsa bar but I did have to pay $.10 per to go container which would be nice if they were free.
